My my my my my. The art in this space is quite crazy. I could have just sat here and looked at the art all night, and then gone home and have bad dreams.
I like Neumo's, and I like this part of Neumo's. It's very intimate. I saw my most favorite band ever here (Half Acre Day) and had quite a time dancing in the small dance space. There's a bar rightthere so no need to leave the music area to get your 12th drink. The sound was good, the vibe was groovy and dark, and that's just about it. Not a big fan that they are Miller vendors and not Bud vendors, but what can ya do. I don't drink beers like that anymore so it doesn't matter, but when I did (oh, so young) I cared.
The minus star is because it is almost a bit too small... but I'm pretty sure that's the point, so I'll just leave it at that. -

This is a peculiar little spot. It is kind of an annex onto the awesome late-nite Frites joint next door and Neumos (a bigger performance hall next door). Interestingly from the Neumos upper-level balcony, one can peer down, through the voodoo themed decor, into the Bad Juju Lounge. Also fun and random, if you try to leave the Bad Juju but make a wrong turn you'll end up in the Frites place!!
The bar's drinks are your standard fare and if there is a DJ or act on stage can feel full pretty quickly. 4 Stars!! -

I've never had a bad time at the Juju. Good drinks, not too pricey, and you can actually sit at a table that will seat more than two people and have a conversation. Also a great refuge from the crowds at Neumo.
Did I mention that they have some of the most decent bathrooms on the hill? -

I havn't been to many bars in Seattle, but this is by far the coolest. Despite a rather disturbing cab ride there (see Jordan P's review), the evening I went there was one of the highlights of my last Seattle trip. Good drinks, kick-bum music, and a lavish, goth decor. I found the name amusing, only because for some reason people in Washington (that I know) seem to have a thing about good/bad juju.

If it was any darker in there, it would get five stars. Otherwise, I love this bar.

A black atmoshpere....be it the clothes, the walls, and attitudes. The music is extremely loud, which makes for a horrible conversation/hangout bar. The bartenders are nice and drinks are fairly strong. This bar isn't my type of place, but I also don't like heavy metal music and wear all black. To each their own.

The Bad Juju boasts strong drinks, a neglected eel, moody decore, and bad heavy metal music (don't bother asking the DJ for anything outside the genre; I've drawn blanks asking for David Bowie !?). Oh, but they have couches and booths, both of which are nice if you're there with a small group. Also, there isn't a lot of mingling (compared to most bars) so it's a good place to go if you really don't want to deal with people (despite how crowded it can get).

Cool scene just off the beaten path in Capitol Hill. Usually occupied by leather wearing, gothish tough guys, I alway loved wearing my Belltown best, loafers included just to see the looks on their faces....

I like the Bad Juju. Its got a good ole' rock and roll vibe w/ a splash of art.. Last time I was there the dj's were playing some weirdo rock music from the 70's. What really sells this place is the strong drinks and the great decor! Its also a fun place to see shows. Its better to go here when there isn't a show going on at Neumo's.

I was there a few years ago, and I loved it! Great music! The cab driver that drove us there snuck a peek down my friend's skirt. Icky Seattle Cab Driver.

i love a dark gothy bar every once in awhile and these guys do a good job. a nice place to grab a drink and fried next door or check out what might be playing at neumo's. the location is great and the staff is super sweet so i can only give the juju 5 stars.
