I just hired Backyard Flicks Outdoor Cinema for our school's Spring Family Night. I was a bit nervous, since this was the first time our school has ever had a movie night, let alone an outdoor one! But, being the professional that he is, Alvin took care of everything and the evening went smoothly!
When I first met Alvin, we met at the school and he scoped out the field in order to determine the best viewing. He also made many wonderful suggestions for the evening that I didn't even consider (glow sticks, courtesy letters for the neighbors, etc.). He was even able to provide the companies that provide the licensing necessary to show the movie.
Alvin answered all of my questions and quelled all my fears. But, the one thing he couldn't do was control the weather!!! Unfortunately, our scheduled movie night was rained out, but Alvin provided multiple future dates to accommodate us. Plain and simple, Alvin went above and beyond the call of duty!
On the rescheduled day, Alvin was there on time and set up quickly and efficiently. Our PTA decided to make some last minute anouncements/speeches and Alvin easily accommodated us. Then, as the sun set, Alvin started the pre-show and our magical evening began. The screen/movie quality was fabulous and the sound was fantastic. We showed Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, and our K-5 crowd loved it. Many parents came to me that evening and the next day with compliments on such a successful evening. One parent even mentioned that we should do this 2x a year!
So, if you are thinking of hosting an outdoor movie night, you cannot go wrong with Backyard Flicks Outdoor Cinema. I look forward to working with Alvin again!

I've always loved watching movies. Especially being out in the open sky. To date there are approximately 200 Drive-In theaters in the US and we loose at least 2 to 5 a year. It is a shame to loose a piece of history that made our culture great but with my business efforts I will keep this nostalgic treasure alive.
