This is a good burger... I would rate it close to 5 guys... burgers are fresh and made to order. outdoor seating is appropriate since the burgers are cooked over flame not fried. close to home cooked taste.
If you want a burger, don;t pass this place up. -

This location appears to have had a change in ownership or management, and has suffered greatly for it.
It used to be clean and fresh, now its beginning to look a little run down and shabby.
Service used to be fast and super friendly, now its lackluster.
The food used to be worth a drive.
Its still OK, but not as good as it was.
Its slightly better than Burger King, but I've had to rethink my previous advice to skip Five Guys at the mall and drive here.
It really isn't worth the drive.
The OTHER two BYB locations in Orlando are still very good, though.

You might think I am a bit crazy since I love a place called "Backyard Burgers", yet I have never had a burger there. All you have to do is try their blackened chicken sandwich of goodness once and you will realize that it doesn't matter how good their burgers might be because you have found fast food perfection!
Service here generally falls under the chick-fil-a school of thought but after you place your order you get a large laminated letter which you place at your table and the order is brought to you. They have a few flat screen TV's in the dining area as well which is a nice touch for a fast food restaurant. Make sure you try the cobbler for desert and enjoy! -

Great burgers, with that nice charcoal grilled taste on a properly-sized bun that works, and doesn't fall apart. Friendly service. Best place for a "fast food" burger.
Only Hamburger Mary's makes a better burger, and that's not fast food. -

As far as fastfood goes this place is amongst the best out there. Their burgers are fresh and made to order. Nothing ever gets kept on the hot plate here.
The name Backyard Buger is appropriate as their burgers taste just like you grilled them yourself.
Aside from their beef based burgers you need to try out their Blackened Chicken Burger which is my favorite, along with a side of their awesome waffle fries. -

Honestly, this is pretty much an overpriced Burger King. That said, I'll give it another shot in the future. Mainly because I've heard about a legendary blackened chicken sammich. Mmm...blackened...

Tried it as catering on our kids school, and it was pretty good. Just the backyard style huge bbq with dogs and burgers. Good food.
Tried out the "real" deal here, and it was even better, as it should. My better half tried the blackened chicken and it was good, and my cheeseburger was excellent.
Can definitely recommend.
