Formerly the Heathcote Tavern, now under new ownership and name.

While the new regime touts the fare at this establishment as "progressive American cuisine", I would refer to the menu progression as ecclectic.  The items are influenced by french, asian, italian, mediterranean, and german so there is something for everyone I guess you could say.  This has kindly been dubbed in my neck of the woods as "con-fusion".  Yeah, you get it.  Anyway, we had the ceasar salad and calamari, followed by the schnitzel and the rigatoni with duck bolognese which were all equally delicious.  Out of curiousity, we also tried the warm lentil salad which was awesome, german inspired flavored with vinegar and thyme.

We strolled in without reservations on a Friday night and were seated immediately.  While the menu is super pricey and all over the map, yes that was a knock, the food is decent and I will likely return for another go.  The ambiance is retro, with lucite chairs and a very warm glowy feeling.  The thought did cross my mind that this would be a great place for a small gathering as their are private seating areas and the bar looks well-stocked.

The tuna tartare was pretty spectacular. Everything else was ok. Dessert was fine. A little overpriced for what you get, still not that bad.
