The customer service here can't be beat!! I was looking for a queen mattress that is as comfortable as supportive. I was willing to spend money because I am a bad sleeper and I would need a great mattress.
I initially purchased a tempurpedic, which I was very excited about because I heard so many great things about it. I knew within three nights that bed would not work for me. I wanted to make sure, because did not want to deal with returning the mattress, and waited six weeks. At that point I went back to Back To Bed to figure out what else to do. After many conversations and lots of back and forth, I decided on another bed. Back to Bed organized returning the tempurpedic and sending the other mattress quickly and easily. Delivery and set up were a breeze.
I am now sleeping on a fabulous new mattress and within a week love it!
Let me just say that whatever your price point is (low to high), and whatever kind of bed you want (memory foam, latex or standard coil), this store has it for you. There is free parking out front and its easy to get to. -

Let me just say, I was NOT planning on buying a bed this weekend!
Back to Bed was the first and last place my fiance and I looked at mattresses. Kip and Curt made the experience so much fun and weren't pushy at all. I felt like they gave us their honest opinions of each bed and weren't trying to steer us one way over another.
We connected immediately with both guys and felt like we made two friends in addition to buying an awesome mattress! Buying a bed can be stressful, but this was actually a lot of fun--- which I wasn't expecting at all!
I would absolutely recommend these guys to anyone and everyone looking to buy a bed! -

I think mattress shopping can be one of the most stressful experiences...ever.
You are making a (potentially) very expensive purchase, it's something that you need to love because you will use it every day, and you don't want to leave the store feeling like you just got hosed.
We went to several big box stores, in addition to matress-specific stores, before visiting Back to Bed, upon recommendation of a friend.
The environment in and of itself is different as the sales people are not on you like white on rice the second you walk in the door. (This is a PLUS!) Secondly, the employees know their stuff. Kip, the manager, helped us out and was great. He listened to what we had to say, was honest with us, and made the shopping experience about as pleasant and fun as mattress shopping can be.
We ended up purchasing the mattress on a Saturday night, and we got the mattress delivered on Saturday. Talk about immeadiate gratifcation! Delivery was flawless and swift. The guys were in and out in less than 5 minutes with a King mattress.
I wouldn't hesitate to send any of my friends to Kip at Back to Bed. -

I didn't think anyone could possibly know so much about mattresses. Somehow, Kip is this person. Not pushy, not overly salesy, just a real guy who knows his stuff. We had a great experience at Back to Bed and love our Tempurpedic. These mattresses ain't cheap, but they last a lifetime. Considering we spend 1/3 of our life asleep, I say it's worth it. Great delivery too.

My wife and I were ready to buy a bed, but figured it would be a long process in looking at a few places and a thousand different beds. We had no idea it would be less than an hour and we would be sitting down signing the papers at our first store! We had done the comparisons online and when we saw the discounts and then got the treatment we did here, it was a no-brainer!
We were greeted immediately by Quami, who was extremely helpful and led us to narrow down the best selection of beds for our needs. He didnt ever push me to one that may be more beneficial for him as a sales rep, but gave us all pros and cons and comparisons among the many beds to choose from. Then, as we moved along and couldn't really decide, Kip helped out and echoed everything Quami had been telling us AND MORE...MUCH MORE! It was SO helpful to have 2 people who knew everything about mattresses and what is best for your situation.
I would go back EVERY TIME to have this experience and really appreciated all their knowledge, patience, and professionalism - which, believe me, you are NOT going to find at every store. And for the final point, I would like to tell you, they close at 6 and we were still laying around and figuring out which one to buy and they didn't ever mention the time...and stayed about 45 minutes late to help us finalize...that is CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
This store and the employees are FANTASTIC!!!

Jim was super helpful without being too in-your-face. Only engaged as much as we wanted to, no more. Store was the right size - decent selection but not overwhelming. Easy parking right out front. Prices seemed pretty standard.

I'm writing this 3 months after getting a new mattress and I couldn't be happier. We went to 4 other places, but it was always going to be Kip.
Very friendly and very knowledgeable about the whole bed-buying process.

Everyone here seems to have only positive experiences to share about Kip and Back to Bed. Guess I am joining the chorus here.
I was sure I wanted a new bed but not sure how I would buy. Once I started talking to Kip, however, I decided I would be purchasing here since I simply liked the guy.
Kip spent a solid hour taking me through the different options for sale and explaining the differences among mattresses. Once I made my choice, delivery was easy and on schedule. -

My fiance bought a Groupon for a $200 value and we stopped in this Back To Bed location as we were running errands. I am glad we did. Nick was the representative that was there and he was great. He greeted us immediately but wasn't "sales-y" at all. We told him about the Groupon and he simply pointed out which mattresses were not covered as well as which ones are the most popular b/c of comfort. Was very casual guy to talk to so felt at ease the whole time we were there, would definitely recommend going there to friends. By the way, they delivered the mattress to us the next day!

I haven't had this great of customer service in a very long while. I always admire an HONEST opinion, be it about food or other products being sold.
Kip, I believe is the store manager, was AMAZING. When we walked in, he allowed us to peruse the beds, without pressuring us in any way. After like ten minutes or so, he came over and was extremely helpful with his line of questions regarding preferences. Luckily, we had already researched the Tempur-pedics so he informed us on the differences between models, gave us his answer, as well as the canned Tempur answer, provided us with feedback he's gotten from other customers.
Had we not been helped by this self-proclaimed 'bed nerd' a few weeks ago, a sale on a Deluxe Tempur-pedic would not have been made that day. Thank you sooo much, Kip!! He knows his stuff and is happy to help out people on the market for a new bed. -

I recently went to this location with my boyfriend because of the 2 reviews on this page. I was really impressed with the store as a whole, from the sales down to the delivery.
My boyfriend needed a new bed and this place was nearby, literally 5 minutes away. Although there are only 2 reviews on this page, both were very thorough and provided a lot of insight as to how our experience would be. The salesman did not coerce us at all and waited for us to look around first. He then provided some advice as to which bed he thought would fit my boyfriend's needs best.
The delivery men were amazing as well. Since my boyfriend couldn't make it back to accept the delivery on time, I accepted it for him. When I pulled up, the delivery men were already sitting outside waiting. I'm usually not very fond of furniture delivery guys because of my own personal experiences - they were usually rude and just wanted to get out ASAP. These delivery guys were extremely pleasant and even though they were ready to set up, they told me to let them know when I was ready for them to bring the bed in.
The salesman even followed up with a call to ensure that our delivery was made on time and that the delivery men were pleasant. Great company, I'd definitely buy from there myself should the need arise, and recommend to friends. -

Lives up to the reviews!
I chose this place based on the GREAT reviews. There are other mattress stores in the vicinity, but this one clearly had the best and most reviews.
And now I'm adding to it and joining the Kip fan club! Kip is very pleasant and informative but not pushy. The overall experience couldn't have been easier. And he offered us the best deal, even throwing in the an extra discount for finding the store on Yelp (mention that!).
If you're looking for a mattress, this is the place to go. -

In my mattress research I read that Americans view mattress salesman as second sleaziest to used car sales. Well..Kip at Back to Bed turs this notion on its head. He is very professional. I'm kinda shocked he's working at a mattress store. The guy should be working in an investment bank or something...wait that's actually probably more sleazy than mattress sales! ;) Anyway. I decised to come here because i's close to me but mostly because of the reviews of Kip. They are all totally accurate! I got a killer deal on the Heavenly mattress that is used in Westin hotels. Kip advisd me expertly and made the process of getting a new mattress easy and enjoyable. The delivery is free and tey take away my old mattress at no extra charge!
Go here for your mattress and have Kip help you out, you won't be sorry. -

Thanks, Kip! He gave me a 101 about what kind of bed would work for me and was very informative. Not a pushy salesperson by any means, he was straightforward and honest about the sale. Also, he gave a big FAT discount that was great for my wallet. They do have a variety of beds for just about any budget too..I felt a little intimidated being a broke 20-something, but it was okay. It's a nice feeling to go to a small store (that has a lot) rather than a large department store.
The delivery and set-up was free and the delivery men were friendly and quick. Customer service was helpful as well. I got a comfortable bed that does everything we need it to ;) and I'm satisfied with the quality. Thank you, I'm satisfied with your service and will recommend you to my friends! -

We bought my son a mattress set here a few months ago and had such a great experience with Kip, and vowed to return to purchase ourselves a set when we were ready. We took advantage of an awesome Swoop deal and bought a king set today! Jim helped us this time and he was terrific. Very knowledgeable, patient and helpful! He really worked with us on price. We walked out of there feeling like we really got a fair deal. I would highly recommend going here and nowhere else when you are looking for great service and prices!

I walked in here not really knowing what I wanted. The manager really gave me his full attention and helped me write down a "spec" sheet with four mattresses I was considering. Prices were already very good, but a little negotiation got me an even better deal. There was no sales pressure, and no "encouragement" to buy anything more expensive than my initial stated budget.
I ended up buying one of their MiForma mattresses. I hate heat, which is why I didn't buy a Tempurpedic (that, and the prohibitive price). This thing is seriously the best mattress I've ever slept on. I can't remember ever sleeping so well.
I travel quite a bit and oftentimes stay at 5-star hotels. For the first time, I know what it's like to miss my own bed!
Highly recommend this location, and its mattresses. (As I understand it, Back to Bed is the only chain that stocks miFormas.) -

You know you have reached a certain stage in life when you find yourself Yelping about your experience in a mattress store, eh? I am fortunate enough to find myself in this exact situation and even more fortunate that I can spread the goodwill. Kip, as several before me have already attested to, was the perfect person to assist my partner and I in our quest for the perfect sleeping mat.
We came in not totally sold on Tempur-pedics primarily because of the chemical factor, (look it up if you're intrigued), and we left with the perfect amount of information not to mention expert delivery from Kip to make our decision. He was attentive but not creepily so and discreetly multi-tasked with multiple customers. We came in on a rainy Sunday afternoon so it was slow but walk-ins picked up gradually and I was impressed with Kip's ability to smoothly handle each walk-in while maintaining a connection with us that never felt intrusive.
He threw in 2 of those fancy Pedic-pillows at no extra cost (they each run about $100) and free shipping/delivery helped lessen the strain on my bank account! He also asked if we needed our old mattress to be removed which was a nice surprise so that will be taken care of as well. I can Yelp about the delivery experience after tomorrow but I already have a strong feeling that my 5 stars for the South Loop Back to Bed location shall remain the same! -

I read Kip's reviews on Yelp and my experience lived up to all the 5 star reviews. Kip is one of the most knowledgeable and helpful salesman I've ever dealt with. He explained in great detail which bed would work best for me. Most importantly I never once felt he was pushing me towards the most expensive mattresses. He sold me on a variety of beds. He also worked with me on a financing plan to help my purchase. I would recommend everyone talk to Kip if you're looking to buy a new mattress.

Everyone that has posted before me is correct on saying that Kip is amazing. Kip makes buying a bed easy to do along with educating you while you do it. My wife and I shopped around for over a month to buy a new bed, and once we met Kip we knew we were going to buy from him. 5 stars for superb service Kip!

That process along with a great deal and next day delivery made this a easy experience. If you are looking for a mattress (why else would you read this) you should stop in and talk to Kip!

I originally went here to buy a new frame for me existing bed and for a queen frame the price was VERY reasonable. I knew I needed a new bed and had I known they had a layaway plan I would have tested a new bed that day.
So I came back once I got my bonus from my job and while Kip was there for my first purchase and was very nice, he wasn't there the night I went to buy my new bed. A very nice young man by the name of Adam was there. Adam hooked me up! He was kind, very informative, but didn't try to force anything on me. I am three years out of grad school so money is tight, but worked out a great deal on the mattress I wanted. I put down 50% that night and paid off the other 50% this week.
The bed was delivered today and let me say, the guys they use for delivery are EXCELLENT! I tipped these guys because they were in and out within ten minutes and were very kind. They removed my old bed and were very friendly.
I went to this location because of yelp and I have to say, folks, these are good people to do business with. I laid on my bed to test it out and fell a sleep I had no sheets or pillows on the bed. It's just that comfy! When I went bed shopping I had recently sprained my back and when I laid on the bed with this messed up back I KNEW I had to have it. I am wearing a back brace right now and I took it off to lay in the bed and unlike my old bed I woke up feeling just fine.
I would like to thank Kip, Adam and the delivery service for making this a good experience. I highly recommend this location. -

I first called Back to Bed to get a new bed frame. Our old one had 8 legs and two boxes of nice bed risers can be just as pricey as a new bed frame with only six legs. Yes, I know I am quite odd sometimes. Also I was despising the thought of even trying to get the 8 bed risers under the 8 legged bed frame.
Anyways....
I called and asked for a price and right away the guy on the phone offered a lower price than normal because usually they give them away with new beds and he thought our old one had just broken so he was being nice. I picked up the bed frame and was on my way....
A few months later, just last weekend...My husband & I realized that our sore backs in the morning were due to our old worn out crappy mattress. So we decided to look for a new bed and the Back to Bed add just happened to come with our Sunday newspaper.
We went to open the door and it was locked but Cory came right over and unlocked it even though it was a few min. past closing time. We went in and showed Cory (the owner or Manager, I think) the add and he actually told us he could beat Back to Bed's own sales price! We tried out MANY mattresses MANY times and finally settled on one. Cory told us we could try for 6 months same as cash but if we came back the following business day he would have his finance computer back up (he had already closed it down for the night) and could try to give us a year for 0% interest! We took him up on our offer.
The bed was delivered for free since we were local and the movers were quick and tidy.
The only con to our bed experience with Back to Bed was the fact that my husband realized a couple of days later that one of the two twin foundations for our king bed actually was bent in on the corner. Well no problem...We called Cory and they replaced it right away!

I don't write many reviews good or bad...but when it's either extreme I do. And in this case, it is very good. We were very impressed with both Nick and Kip. Nick helped us find the most amazing mattress ever, the Simmons Beautyrest Elite w/ plush foam top (they call it the Olympic). It is seriously the best mattress we have ever owned hands down. We both have back issues and felt a lot of relief after sleeping on this mattress. Kip helped us with the financing aspect. We did a little research when we got home and found another mattress at a lower price. Kip researched it for us and with no questions asked gave us a price match. We would be willing to pay a little more for this kind of service. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for great mattresses and great service.

I have spent the last 3 months shopping for the perfect mattress and my journey ended today at back to bed thanks to Kip! He did a great job in educating me on the different types of mattresses and had a great sales pitch that didn't intimidate me or make me feel like I didn't know what I was doing or looking for. He was very personable and gave all the options I had without overwhelming me. No hassle, a great discount and finally a peace of mind!

My fiance and I went to buy a bed here shortly after moving to Chicago. We were immediately greeted by Kip and he let us know he would be right with us after finishing with another customer. Kip gave us a very helpful description of all the different mattresses and helped us decide what would be the best mattress for us. He was not pushy at all and was happy to answer all questions. We are very happy with our new bed and couldn't be happier with the level of service!!

I had a great experience buying a bed here. It was an important purchase, and I feel like Kip asked me the questions that helped us pinpoint the mattress that was perfect for me. I've had it for less than a week, and my quality of life has already improved dramatically. He was very informative and gave me a great deal on a great mattress. I definitely recommend this store if you're in the market to buy a new bed. They also deliver and will take your old mattress away for you.

Just received my bed from Back to Bed. Bed shopping was smooth start to finish. My husband and I were moving and in need of a new bed. I saw an ad about a sale in the newspaper and yelped them. The location by DePaul had more reviews but this location was closer to my house. I didn't even know this place existed (it's across the street from Whole Foods). I had a great experience here with Matt. He did a great job helping me pick out a bed. He was very honest and didn't try to upsell me. He gave me the pros and cons of all the different types of beds. I had done research on beds previously and had a general idea of what I wanted and a definite idea of what I didn't like. All in all, a good experience. Thanks Matt!

A friend suggested I try Back to Bed when I started looking for a new mattress. I did a little online research that day and found one at Crate & Barrel (odd, I know) that I liked and for a decent price. Went to Back to Bed later that night and found almost the exact same mattress but at a higher price. My bf and I looked at a few others at the store but decided on that particular mattress. Kip was super helpful and NOT pushy about higher end mattresses. I showed him the C&B website and he not only matched the price but also gave me a BETTER price. Also, they were very accomodating when I had to change my delivery date twice to coincide with delivery of the new bed, and even though my apartment is an odd shape they delivery guys had no problems fitting the king sized mattress into the bedroom. All in all, I feel like I got a great mattress at a fair price and the whole experience was relatively painless. (By the way, the mattress is really comfortable too.)

I had a great experience buying a bed here. I just moved to Chicago this past week for work, may not be here beyond a year. I explained my situation to Kip and we were able to work out a deal for a queen-sized bed. I had shopped around and I got a very fair price for what I purchased. Kip was very professional and courteous, I did not feel like I was being pressured or upsold. The bed was delivered the next day without any hassle. I would buy from this store again if the need arises.
