what better place to experience bainbridge island then on a kayak?
they have a store on the main strip of bainbridge island where they sell kayaks and equipment. if you want to rent a kayak, you can just go down to the boathouse on the water. i would recommend giving them a call for directions to the boathouse as we had a little difficulty finding it by car. it is near the park but i can't remember what's the name of the park. however, it's easy to get there by walking if u come off the ferry.
the kayak rentals were for a single $15 for an hour and a double is $20 for an hour with the price cheaper if you rent longer. they also had this adorable swan boat like a paddle boat that you can rent $15 for 1/2 hour.
the water was very calm making it a pleasant kayak ride. and we got to see all the beautiful homes off the water. it also let us to see a waterfront restaurant we never would have known about.
great activity to do if you're spending the day in bainbridge :)
