Whhoooo Laurie! It has been avery long time since I have seen her as i have moved to an inconvenient location, but Laurie is the best! Her technique and skill has yet to be matched. Some chiropractors are really quick to crack you abruptly and move on, but Laurie will stretch your muscles a bit before adjusting, use bit of heat when needed and will also give you exercises to strengthen yourself at home. She is particularly good for you more athletic types as she is also very athletic.(but also not judgemental if you are a loaf like myself)
Anyway, sure wish I could enjoy Laurie's adjustments cause she is also a fun person to talk to. So, you go instead and support women owned business and tell her Alex says hello! -

Laurie is a good chiropractor with shady business practices and a strange bedside manner. I went for a back injury many years ago and she kept adding services which she would bill to my insurance which I didn't really think were appropriate. She also would get mad with me for my body not moving the right way when she was doing the adjustment. This made it even more difficult for me to be there. Odd. I've also had an experience with them never returning my phone calls but that was once my visits had lapsed. And then I thought it better just go somewhere else anyway.

I didn't have the greatest experience with Laurie and have since found a chiropractor who's technique is a better fit for my chronic back pain. I think Laurie is a great person and I liked her and her staff a lot. However I thought she was too rough for me. She did the same adjustments each time and kept recommending extra services that I was hesitant to try because her adjustments just weren't providing relief.
She also sometimes seemed mad if my body wasn't cooperating with her attempts to adjust me, which probably made me more stiff and tense.
I've since found someone who's more thorough and gentle. I trust him and ultimately I think that makes a huge difference. His appointments last an hour rather than a half hour so I feel like I get more care for what I spend. -

I was recently hit from behind by another car and sustained some damage to my neck. After doing some research online about my options to get treated (primary care physician v chiropractor) I felt that she would be able to make me feel better in a much more holistic way. After asking a thorough set of questions about what happened and where the pain was affecting me, she went to work and provided immediate relief.
I had never been to a chiropractor before, so this experience will go far in retaining me as her client as well as sending future referrals her way. If you have never been to a chiropractor before, I highly recommend that you give her a chance at relieving your pain. -

Laurie is an awesome Chiropractor and Massage Therapist. She is totally holistic. She will work with clients to build their strength and flexibility, and she also a yoga instructor so she knows how to help people change their actual habits that causes pain.
I know so many clients of hers that have been completely healed. Also, when she adjusts my neck it feels better for weeks!
She is also really sweet and personable and really makes you feel at home. -

I went to see Laurie after reading all of the 5 star reviews on yelp and although her chiropractic technique may have been fine, her business practice is extremely shady to say the least. After intentionally billing my insurance with false information and never once providing me with a single invoice for the service dates I saw her (after repeated requests), I ended up in a long battle with her office to correct the payment mess which cost me a lot of wasted time and money. I came in for treatment because of car accident and they saw me as a cash cow because of this. I wonder if I would have been treated differently if I had been a just been a regular person off the street? She may be a good chiropractor but the ethical practices at this office are absent. Go elsewhere.

I'm not sure I can give anymore praise for Laurie and her staff than has already been said... but ok, wow. She's my first chiropractor and immediately upon walking into the office I felt at ease. The whole facility is calming and lends itself to your comfort. Laurie also takes the time to get to know you, your tweaking and kinkage, and then ~ bliss, heaven, RELIEF. In short, I am a limp noodle by the time I leave. The massage, btw, should not be missed. At all. Just go once and you'll know what I mean.

I've been seeing Dr Klein for both chiropractic and personal yoga for years. I've seen many chiros before her and she is at the top of the profession. She takes the time to do things right, unlike many chiros who seem intent on cranking as many patients through their practice as they can. I can't say enough about her.

Laurie is a great healer. She has treated me for around 10 years and is always going to classes and learning new techniques. I recommend her highly. Yoga by Amy is also offered at the studio. Amy is a fantastic teacher who has helped me improve my strength after a back injury. Laurie's French bulldog, Jacko, is a wonderful host and always a delight to see.

AWESOME! I was having so much pain with my back and Laurie is fixing it. She's like a little ninja jumping around and getting into places you didn't even know you needed to work on or could work on. At the same time, she is so peaceful and forces you to relax. The best part is that she readjusts you and massages you all in one session. I think I'm going to try her yoga class next.

Laurie is a Godsend !! My husband had been in some serious pain for the last 3 weeks. He hurt his lower back & was having trouble with even the slightest of movements. We were given Laurie's name by a friend & are soooooo happy we went to go see her ! She was kind, caring, funny, and concerned. She adjusted & stretched him, and talked us through exactly what his body was doing & why he was in pain. She was simply delightful, as was her cute little french bulldog who greeted us ! After our session, in which she took her time & did not rush us at all, he was able to stand with ease : ) !! We just went back for a 2nd session and it was just as wonderful ! My husbands body is feeling great, he has a smile on his face & is able to work pain free. Thank you Laurie. We will be sure to spread the word. You are truly an amazing healer !

Dr. Laurie Klein is so rad! I was very skeptical about seeing a chiropractor for knee problems. But, lemme tell you, if you're a stubborn athlete like myelf, Dr. Klein can probably help you. I bombed my knees while I was training for a marathon with Team in Training last year. I never ran the marathon. =( BUT the coach, the awesome Coach Al, sent me here. (And I was working in Livermore and living in Pleasanton at the time--the drive was worth it). And now that I live in Oakland, and busted my knee again (damn you wide hips and flat feet!), I am looking forward to my appointment with her next week. She is a miracle worker; tiny but fierce. I probably like getting adjusted, cracked, and knocked around more than getting massages. Does that make me masochistic? Who cares! AND, she's on Grand Ave! So, why don't you book yourself a later appointment and then treat yourself to a fabulous dinner, maybe even a movie and a drink, afterward? Good food tastes a lot better when it is digested inside an adjusted body.

I've been seeing Laurie over a few years and she is wonderful. Because she is an athlete she understands about my unique pains from running and biking which is great. She is down-to-earth, always with a smile on her face and she has helped my aches & pains in my back and leg tremendously so that I could run my marathon!

I am in love with Laurie's hands. I've been seeing her for nearly four years, the first few when I felt like it, the last year regularly due to a bad back injury from work. Her background as a massage therapist means that the manipulation doesn't just involve your spine; she works to loosen up the area around your stuck places. As a yoga/Pilates person she also can identify movement issues and provide guidance to help you improve overall functioning. I know her care has been a big part of my recovering WITHOUT SURGERY. I also love the fact that she isn't one of those chiropractors who make you sign up for big time Xrays and MONTHS of treatment. She's also fun to be around and I always feel welcome. Cute dog too.

Laurie is the most talented chiropractor I have ever worked with. She helped me to overcome a chronic backpain problem using adjustments but also lifestyle, posture and stretching habits that improved my quality of life. She has been practicing for over a decade and keeps up with the latest techniques and data in the field. I love that she is an athlete too and brings that level of body knowledge to her practice. I highly recommend her!
