80 reviews for Babooshka
One of the Business' Favorite Reviews What's This?
Well, I've been dragging my feet on writing this review for one reason and one reason only....I am a selfish, selfish bitch.
When I moved to Denver a few months ago, one of the most frightening tasks that lay ahead was finding someone to do my hair--this is a big decision, one not to be taken lightly!! I was referred to Babooshka by a friend and after reading all of the rave reviews about Rachel's amazing color skills, I decided to give it a shot. Rachel exceeded all of my expectations--she is a master at color, not to mention nice, cool and fun to talk to! And that is why I am selfish...if the word keeps spreading like this, I won't be able to get in to see her anymore!
So far I've been to Rachel 3 times...the first 2 were to update my blonde highlights--she did a fantastic job. This past weekend I decided to go dark (really dark) for the fall/winter and unless my friends are lying to me, it looks great! Last night a total stranger walked up to me to tell me that he loved my hair color...the kicker? he's a stylist. and GAY. I mean if that isn't the holy grail of compliments, I don't know what is. Kudos to Rachel!
AND, by the way--they serve free PBR. If I wasn't in love before, I certainly am now.
In all my 24 years, I have NEVER gone back to the same salon twice. Nick at Babooshka just may have changed that!! I just moved back to Denver and was thrilled to find a not too expensive cut ($40) in my neighborhood.
Star one: is for cool decor
Star two: is for location, location, location!
Star three: is for getting me to do something different with my hair for the first time...ever!
Star four: is for not forcing me into awkward "hair salon conversation"
Star five: is for offering me a beer :)
I've been looking for a place to get my hair cut in Denver for a year now, and, pshew, am I glad that I finally went here. I've had a series of misunderstandings (sub-par haircuts) at other salons, but Nick gave me exactly what I wanted! He does eyebrows, too, and so affordable!
Thanks, Nick! My hair looks adorables.
I moved to Denver from DC in February, and given that I have curly hair that has been through a lot of very unfortunate haircuts in the past, I was really nervous about finding a new stylist here in town. In fact, I was trying to hold out until I went back to DC for a visit so I could go to my regular stylist there, but in June the situation got so shaggy that I had to do something. And that's when I went to see Rachel at Babooshka. I figured in for a penny, in for a pound, so not only did I get a cut, I also got highlights. And she did a fantastic job with both.
Rachel understands how curly hair works. I wanted to keep the length but add some nice shape and layers, and that's exactly what she did. Not only did it look great when I left the salon, but it also looked fantastic after I'd washed it and used my own products on it the next day. The curls were bouncy and vibrant and had great shape, the hair was nicely layered and very lightweight--it was perfect.
And the color was fantastic. I told her that I wanted highlights that I didn't have to maintain if I didn't want to, so she did some underneath the top layer of hair. They were a great color and the perfect balance between subtle and noticeable--exactly what I'd asked for. Now it's October and I've decided for budgetary reasons not to keep coloring my hair--but even growing out, the highlights look good and that top "veil" of hair saves me from having a visible line of roots.
Plus, the price is reasonable--$40 for the cut and $85 for the highlights (I think it's $60 for all-over color if that's what you want). Maybe I'm just used to big-city prices, but $40 for a fantastic cut seems like a steal to me.
I have definitely found my regular stylist here in Denver. I might even like her better than my old stylist in DC! And that is saying a lot.
I finally have found a stylist with the utmost patience for dealing with my thick, difficult "I am not going to cooperate with you - ever" hair. She fixed my latest haircut disaster and I left the salon feeling like a new woman with great hair. Thanks Carolyn!
Nick was great. I don't do anything fancy, so it's hard to go wrong, but everybody at Babooshka was super nice and friendly, got an appt right away, and a plain ol cut was just $35 - great deal for the amount of effort and attention Nick gave my hair. Thanks guys!
My stylist was in Vegas; seemed a little excessive to have to plan a trip to get my hair done. Rachel did a great job. And hubby was relieved that I wasn't trying to book a flight when we got home. (4 stars only because I wish the salon was cleaner.)
Thank you, Yelpers for pointing me in the right direction.
Thank you, Rachel for giving me a different reason to visit Vegas!
I've been getting my hair cut at Babooshka since I first moved to Denver 2 years ago and they are the best. Kristen is my stylist and she's incredible.
Best color job ever!!!! Rachel is a rockstar!
My chocolate locks with ginger highlights are the perfect balance of funk and professionalism that I was going for!
Rachel is not only one of most genuinely lovable and fun stylists I've met, but she is a GENUIS with color! Go, go, GO to Babooshka! If you are considering experimenting with color, they will hook you up right, these ladies know what they are doing. There is no sales pressure to buy product and I even walked away with a few new styling tips that I cannot wait to try!
Apologies for the overusage of exclamation points - I am just super excited about this place.
Oh geez. I really wanted to like this place. They were really nice and all so i feel bed about the bad review. Well, I ended up getting pretty much the opposite of what I asked for and spent about a week wanting to rip my hair out from the roots I hated it and was so mad about it! First thing I did afterward was rush to my car and put it up in a ponytail. Its not like it was that bad, it just really wasnt what I wanted.
You get what you pay for!
There's something to be said when you get a new outfit, new pair of shoes or great haircut!
After snowboarding season ended and I wasn't wearing a helmet 4 days a week, it was time for a makeover. I had heard Rachel at Babooshka was the color specialist of Denver, so I headed there. I gave her freedom to do what she wanted for both cut and color as long chunks of my beautiful hair got chopped and fell to the ground. I was concerned, but I trusted her...
After two trips (one for cut and one for color) I felt like a new me!
My hair looks absolutely amazing! I've never been happier with a new change, it looks fantastic, up, down, and everything in between!
As far as the rest of Babooshka, I love the unique art work on the wall and it's run exactly the way a salon should be. It's fun, clean, contemporary and has cold PBR for your drinking delight while you get your hair done.
My only regret when it comes to my trips to Babooshka is that I wanted to tip more, but it was all I had on me! Don't get me wrong, I tipped, but I'll be tipping even more next time. My hair looks salon great everyday with very little effort and that's priceless!
Thank you Babooshka for being phenomenal and I look forward to our hair future together. Thank you Rachel for the new me! Please don't ever leave the Denver Metropolis!
I went into this salon blond as can be and almost 4 hours later came out a foxy brunette. And almost 3 weeks later, I'm STILL rocking the same color!!
The fact that this drastic color change has had zero fading to speak of just amazes me. Gabriella did my hair and I absolutely adored her. She wasn't one of those stylists who talks just to be polite, and doesn't really pay attention to what you're saying. She genuinely made me feel important, which, looking back at what I typed makes me sound really self-absorbed, but I'm really not that bad.
I'm so happy I found this place on yelp, LISTEN to the reviews!
I have to keep looking in the rear-view mirror and touching my hair.
Damn! I look good.
A little expensive; I get a ton of compliments each time I come here. So, worth the extra $$$.

i walked into this place and was immediately impressed. Everyone I saw working had awesome hair and the salon had a great funky vibe. I love the massage chairs while you wait!
I was able to get a same day appointment due to a cancellation, and I feel soo lucky! Kristen was my stylist, and she did a badass job! I basically told her that I had no idea what I wanted, and to just have fun with my hair. I gave a few basic guidelines on color, but other than that, she had free rein. I walked outta there with a hairstyle that is everything I never knew I always wanted! :-) Also, she talked me thru styling it, and I am able to totally recreate it on my own- which as any girl knows, can be a big pain in the ass.
Kudos to Babooshka, especially Kristen! I can't wait till I get to visit again!
I've been wanting to write a review for this place for weeks! My hair still looks awesome after all this time. I've had a lot of experience with color fading over a period of just 3 weeks but the color still holds and the cut is perfect!
I heard of my new salon through this website and actually scored the dresser who is so often mentioned, "Rachel". She was great! Friendly, knowledgable, and LISTENED to what i wanted :) Some people just decide to stray away from your request but she was right on. And her little puppy is so cute...she brought him in to hang out at the salon for the day :)
I will definately be going back!!
i live in fort collins and started looking for a salon in denver because if i paid my good money for a crappy, no-style, hair-hack up here one more time i was gonna rampage. read the yelp reviews, made the trip to babooshka and DANG! all better!
i knew the experience would be good when i kept looking at the customers leaving the salon (even from across the street) and thinking "that looks really good." i got a fun, cool STYLE which was all i wanted. rachel is outstanding. she read my mind as to what i was looking for in a cut and was super, super friendly. i have thick curly hair and a couple of the stylists kept telling me how much everyone there loves curly hair. ahhhh, that's better. celebrate it, don't chop it to bits to make it "lay down."
anyway, brava to rachel! i shall return!
The first time I went here I went to Kristen who was very nice and helpful, I had had a bad color the day before and kristen fixed it wonderfully. The second time I went there Kristen was not available so I went to Titty ( I think thats how you spell it?), everyone in the salon assured me that Titty was one of their best stylists. I told her that i wanted to dye my hair the same as my natural color. I had about two inches of roots grown in so the color was fairly obvious. I specifically told her that although I thought the look was cute, I despise having my hair dark on bottom and light on top. She said okay and that she would do her best to get my natural color and that it shouldn't be a problem because it wasn't that different from the color it was dyed. After applying the color she makes me move and sit near the front of the salon because she was double booked, the front of the salon by the way had a lot of flies in it, gross! After the color set and she rinsed it she didn't let me look in the mirror at it while she was cutting and drying. She asked if I would "please let her do layers" I said okay but they should be really long. After cutting my hair and drying it, all without letting me see it in the mirror she turned me around. My hair was black on the bottom and platinum blond on top, my natural color is dark blond. The layers were near my eyebrows and my bangs were way longer than I wanted. I resembled Cruela de Ville. Titty assured me that the color would fade back to my natural color but after a month and a half it has not so I am waiting yet again to have enough roots to dye my hair to its natural color. I refuse to go back to Titty and I am very hesitant to ever go back to Babooshka. I do not ever reccomend going to an appointment with Titty or anyone who you have not been to before at this salon, it was terrible.

I should have written this review as soon as I got home from Babooshka, but I had to take my new hair out on the town.
My husband (he goes to Rachel) and son (he goes to Rachel/Kristan) have been going to Babooshka for some time now and I finally decided to give the place a try. I am heading back to work after maternity leave and needed help transforming from a unshowered mother back into a well groomed professional. I also wanted to spice things up a bit and add some color to my hair.
I made an appointment with Kristan and she ROCKED! I sat in her chair and let her give me a once over. I was a bit nervous because I have curly hair and there is always a big risk trying someone new. Once she gave me her recommendations, I was totally at ease because it was very apparent that she was on top of it.
Babooshka is located on Colfax's Bluebird Theater District and although I was offered a cold PBR, I opted to go to the coffee shop next door for a drink while I waited. After some good conversation while Kristan foiled my hair, I sat back and enjoyed the decor while the color set. Once she finished cutting my hair, I walked out a whole new woman.
If you are looking for a great place to get your hair cut, I highly recommend Babooshka. I can't wait to go back so I can spice it up a bit more.
As a side note, my son is two and I started taking him there after several bad haircuts from the local kids chains. I am happy to report that he get great haircuts that do not look like I took scissors to his head for less than you pay at the kids chains.
so, i'm kind of crazy when it comes to my hair.
and not like crazy-picky, just crazy. i like to change my hair a lot. too bad my hair doesn't grow an inch every week!
i'm also very flighty with salons. i just go wherever sounds good. but not anymore, i think i finally may have found the place.
i decided to go to babooshka because i wanted to cut my hair short. real short. and i didn't want to go somewhere that would screw it up and i'd be in a hole because once it's short, there's no where else to go except, well, shorter and i didn't want to end up with a shaved head. so , babooshka has such great reviews, i thought, this is the place to be.
i called and got an appointment for the next day with carolyn. i rode my bike up there (which is always a plus) completely excited for my new 'do. first of all, carolyn is super cute! i sat down, we looked at some pictures, we talked about what i wanted and then she went at it. i felt completely confident and safe in her hands. i knew that it would be awesome. i was completely correct! she is skilled at what she does. i am so happy with my new hair!
the whole time was completely enjoyable. she was funny and nice. she gave me a pbr and let me walk off with a butterfinger!
i am so glad that i decided babooshka was the place to trust with my hair.
from now on, it's just you and me, my sweet, babooshka.
I have been starting to experiment more with my hair the past couple of years but I still haven't found anything that felt right. I called babooshka after browsing through yelp and decided to give it a try after all the wonderful reviews. I called them up and Carolyn talked to me about my hair and what I'd like to change. After a long, informative conversation I made an appointment with her the next week. I was supposed to go to another salon who quoted me $255 for what I essentailly wanted done. Well by the time Carolyn and I disscused what was best for my hair it turned out to only be $130! She didn't understand how a salon could quote me without a consultation. I agree.
The ladies and atmosphere at this salon are great! Carolyn knew exactly what I was looking for and explained things when I had questions. She didn't blow me off like other salons do when you are unhappy or confused. I recommend this place to anyone and everyone!!!
I'm sorry, but I had to edit this.
I went into this place to change my 'do. No such luck. I don't know if it was the dye or what, but I am not a happy customer. They know why too. So, I don't need to go into too much detail. Let's just say I went back here twice to 'fix' something that was messed up. It took at least three tries to 'fix' the problem and there was no solution. Because they ALL went to Mexico, which I'm sure was a well-deserved vaca, I couldn't get it 'fixed' again. Let's just say that I wanted one color and got the opposite and they couldn't 'fix' it or find a solution before their trip. So, I'm sorry gals, but I cheated on you. And I found someone better. They listen, they understand and they work with me. I am not sulking in the corner anymore with my botched hair. Yeah, I'm twice as in debt as before, but well worth it. I'm not doing it again. I felt like I was being pushed aside because of this vaca that was approaching and I wasn't even worth the hassle. To have your receptionist tone my hair with no experience????? No thanks! Good luck with your other clients, but it's just not for me anymore.
Rachel is absolutely awesome. She WORKS with you.
She works to get you in she works with your hair type she works to make you absolutely love your hair!
I could not be happier. My hair is doing things I've never been able to make it do before.
And Rachel is nice as can be as are all the gals there.
Love it!

My sweet Baboo,
I'm in love with you.
You gave me a sweet dooo.
I'm referrin' you.
Thanks rachel, you're amazing, and good fun to hang out with. Thanks for anti-mom-hairing me!
Yeah, i know, an n+1 happy reviewer...
Went in there, and got a cute haircut and haircolor from Rachel. Waited a bit before reviewing to make sure that in lasts more than a week (it does). So i don't have much more to say about the all experience that you can't read in other reviews, but there is that : the all time i was there (or almost) another hairdresser was doing a mohawk on the phone answering guy (looked like 16 to me or so), and he had his hair dyed the most beautiful blue. I was totally hypnotized. I watched for about 40 minutes, it was that good.
So i dont know if you will have the same experience but that was cool.
Not that Rachel and Babooshka need another 5 star review, but here is mine any way. I had tried a few other salons around town after moving here a few years ago. Okay, not spectacular results. I was looking around at salons on Yelp and came across the reviews of Rachel and Babooshka. The reasons I decided to try Rachel: a. She has the same name as my sister. b. She moved here from Milwaukee and I grew up in a small town outside Madison, WI. Love my fellow Wisconsinites! Okay, so not really very compelling reasons to try a stylist but whatever.
I am so glad I did, no matter what my bizarre reasonings were. I love the look of the salon: the old school dryers, the art etc. And I loved Rachel the minute I met her. She works quickly, yet the quality is top notch. She actually shows you how to replicate your hairstyle at home instead of your hair looking good for a day and then never looking that way again.
My last hair cut with her was a few weeks ago and we went Meg Ryan cute flirty cut with my hair. It looks great and is so easy for me to do, which is a plus for someone expecting her first baby in September. Time will be key very soon. Thanks Rachel!
I love this place.
I love the decor - the stiletto shoe and massage chairs, the collection of crosses by the wash area, the colors on the shop front, the original artwork inside...
I love the staff - everyone from the receptionist to the stylists are sweet as pie, all with a kick-ass rocker chick vibe going on. Not to mention that fact that they offer you beer. Beer!
I love my stylist - Rachel is the hair messiah. She is truly gifted.
I love my new haircut - curly hair is awful to have. It's very hard to maintain, and you get used to a lifetime of bad haircuts. I recently cut it all off at Rachel's suggestion, which was scary, but damn if it isn't sexy! I swear, everytime I go back for a trim she manages to make the haircut better.
Babooshka is the best salon I have ever been to. Never in my life have I ever gone to the same salon more than maybe once or twice, but I plan to keep going so long as I live in Denver!
Cue and all the girls at Babooshka are my hair heroes!!!! The atmosphere is just right, everyone is so cheerful, happy, and friendly, and most important: they know what they are doing.
I have been getting my hair done here for about a year now, and I will not go anywhere else. Ever. I have red hair with some blonde highlights, and EVERYONE compliments me on it constantly and asks me where I had it done.
Just went in for the first time after seeing so many great reviews on Yelp. This is definitely going to be my salon from here on out. I needed some corrective color work and the ladies here were all so thoughtful and considerate, and they DEFINITELY know their business. Absolute experts in the field. I really felt like they wanted what was best for me & my hair. My hair needed a lot of work - almost four hours - and they were all cheerful and pleasant the whole time. I have really long hair and ultimately my haircut turned out shorter than I really wanted, but hey, it grows back!
Thanks, ladies, I'll see you soon.
I was getting very tired of my drab brown hair color. Especially because summer had finally showed up. I went to Titty for a completely new look - Strawberry Blond. She did a great job with color and layering.
I have to say that I have never received that many compliments about the hair color in my life!
What a great way to start summer!
Fate sent me to this salon, I just know it. I'd never heard of it before, but within the last week I've heard about it from three separate people AND it caught my eye on Yelp for the first time. Everyone in the world is singing Babooshka's praises to me! I just got my hair cut a week ago, though, so I went with my mom to check it out this morning.
I'm hooked.
My mother keeps her hair very long and is always unhappy after a haircut, because she can ask for an inch off the bottom with simple, long layers and the stylist will inevitably decide that she REALLY wants her hair five inches shorter with choppy bangs. Christy D (whose name I am most certainly misspelling) was amazing. She listened carefully and didn't assume that she knew more about my mother's hair than my mother did, then gave her the most beautiful cut I have ever seen.
All day I've had to stop and exclaim, "Holy freaking crap! You have the prettiest hair I have ever seen!"
As soon as I need it I'll be going back for my own cut and I'm suggesting Babooshka to everyone I know. I'm so excited to have found this gem!
I've been staring at myself in every reflective surface I walk by for the past 24 hours. Normally I'm not so vain, but Rachel at Babooshka gave me the most vibrantly colored purple highlights yesterday and I love looking at them.
I love this salon more and more each time I go in there. I love the girls - they are all so nice, but Rachel is my girl and so I clearly play favorites with her. She's super rad. Like the kind of rad where you can walk in and say, "I'm thinking color. Do what you will." and then she does something mind-blowingly awesome with purple.
Go there, ask for Rachel, sit in her chair, drink your PBRs and prepare to leave totally in love with your hair.

Excellent customer service. Absolutely excellent. They really aim to please and constantly check in with you to make sure you are happy. The prices are totally affordable and I would recommend this place if you are on a budget.
At the final stages of styling, she totally did something fun and different. (I wanted her to try something.) We both started laughing because she could tell by the look on my face that I wasn't diggin' it. So she fixed it to how I would have styled it and was happy. She was totally accommodating and super sweet.
I appreciate the experience here and I know that it is a great salon. I do recommend this place to others.
This many people can't be wrong! Really. I went to Babooskha with my little sis on Saturday, and I can't speak for her, but I got one of the top 2 best haircuts and colors of my recent haircutting life (based on the compliments I've been getting. I wasn't sure about bangs, but I guess they are a good thing on me.) Really. Rachel rocks. (And she'll be doing all the hair for the upcoming December elite event.)
Saturdays are probably one of their busiest days, but the vibe in there was still laid back, and as everyone mentioned, they will offer you beer or wine while you're waiting or getting your 'do done, and what I liked even more was the place is frequented by kids (one 7 or 8 year old girl was getting her hair colored blue, bless her mother) who were sipping on Capri Suns.
Prices are reasonable. If you get lots of things done (haircut, color, highlights, like me) it will add up, but the talent there is top notch, so it's worth it. Go. Go now. Okay?
I always thought Babooshka meant grandmother in Russian, but I just googled it and apparently it also means "show me your tits."
Our whole family loves Babooshka - 11yrs-83.
I'm a salon person. I like to be able to see anyone at a given salon and walk away happy. Babooshka is absolutely that place. When my fave, Rachel, is booked I'd see anyone with confidence. After 47 years on the quest for good hair and good stylists. Babooshka offers talented, consistent, accurate stylists who are not overly dependent on products and are a joy to be around.
What a friendly salon! I had so much fun talking to everyone while getting my hair cut and colored. Gabriella was so professional and clear when she explained what she thought we should do and why. She provided options, advice, and personal opinion but wasn't pushy about anything, and left the final decision to me. I'm so happy I took her advice and did some light layering, and we did the same color scheme I already had (blonde streaks in bangs, the rest dark brown).
It wasn't until we were an hour or so into the process (I have a lot of hair), that she shared about a personal situation that came upright before my appointment (insert family dynamics over the holidays here....we all have that crap, right?). I had NO idea that she was dealing with anything, as she never showed it. She was super friendly, chatty, etc. It was only after we got comfortable with each other that she brought it up. I mention this because so many people don't do this....if they are having a personal issue, they take it out on everyone around them, yet Gabriella was so pro about the situation, and didn't let it shake her. Very impressive!!!!
Why do I adore this place? Well, I recently got the best haircut I've had in about ten years here, all for about $100.00 less than my last best haircut, but that's not it. All the stylists look fantastic, and the place is full of energy and humor, but that's not it either. What sends this one over the top are three beautiful letters, P...B...R!
Yes, they feed you PBR's here. While you wait. While your color sets. While you anxiously get your hair cut directly across from your lovely ex-girlfriend (true story, and hi there C., always nice to see you, if a little surreal at the time). I have to remember not to have plans for several hours after my next appointment, because I stumbled home after this last one, and was sloppy drunk by the end of Geeks Who Drink later that night, much to the horror of one of my teammates. Oh well, these things happen.
Finally, my charming, funny, and outstanding stylist's nick-name, printed right on her cards, is 'Titty'. If you're like me, and have the puerile sense of humor of a 14 year old boy, this is priceless.
All in all, just a really lovely place.
"Are you ready for the best haircut of your life?"
This bold question was posed to me by Rachel on Saturday. With the exception of a brief foray into shortness when I was 18, I've had basically the same haircut since high school. Long, either with layers or not, with bangs or without. Boring. When I started a new job last year, I ended up running into someone who went to my high school. I didn't immediately remember her(psst - don't tell anyone, I was stoned a lot back then), but she knew me right away because she said I looked exactly the same as I did in my senior picture. Dear Lord, someone help me please. This cannot stand.
So thanks to my fellow Yelpers suggestions, I decided to check this place out and attempt to bring my look out of the nineties and into the aughts.
I called the day before and was able to get an appointment at 2pm on Saturday, which is exactly the day and time I'd hoped for. Great so far. I get down there a little bit before 2, am checked in and told it'll be a few minutes. It ended up being more like around 20 minutes, but I didn't mind because it gave me some time to check out a magazine and come up with some semblance of an idea for my new 'do, and when Rachel came to get me she apologized for running late, so no harm no foul. I wasn't in a rush or anything and she seems like a lady who is on top of things and probably doesn't normally run behind.
I sit down and tell her I'm in a major hair rut and show her the pic from the magazine that has the style I was thinking of; not dramatically different, still layers and such, but quite a bit shorter. She says she thinks it'll be a good look for me and we talk some about coloring, which I've never done and can't afford this trip, but am definitely planning on when I get my school financial aid refund check. I've never done coloring because I basically like my natural color, and I thought I wouldn't be able to afford to get regular professional highlights. The price she told me was very reasonable and within my means to keep up with since she said I'll probably only need to get it redone two or three times per year. Sweet.
I felt completely comfortable going quite a bit shorter with Rachel doing the styling. She exudes the confidence of a woman who has absolute faith in her abilities. I get the cut, love it, and she even proceeds to show me a very easy way to keep it looking nice that is totally within my reach to accomplish. I hate getting a cut and walking out knowing that it will never look that good again. She even recommended some products to use that I can buy at the drugstore, not some stupid expensive bullshit that will end up unused and collecting dust on my bathroom counter.
So yes, I walked out of Babooshka with the best haircut of my life. For real, I love it. If I'd had a beret to throw in the air like Mary Tyler Moore, I would've because I knew that I was gonna make it after all.
I've gotten tons of compliments so far on the cut. My daughter even likes it. She said it makes me look younger and not so embarrassing to be seen with. If that's not a compliment you can take to the bank, I don't know what is.
I got Kristen and was very pleased with the results. As a guy, I could very easily go to a barber . But this hair needed to be trimmed up so delicately that scissors couldn't do the job for the reformation. Instead it needed a scalpel. That's why people go to Stylists and that's the quality of the job I recieved at Babooshka's.
As far as the customer service, that was top notch as well. Everyone was so friendly and accomodating. I woke up and ran out of bed to an appointment and was late and never rushed once. Evreyone took their time and that made me feel great and not scared of a rushed job.
Thanks Ladies!
The rumors are true. Babooshka rocks.
Thanks for all you awesome Yelpers for sending me to Rachel, I'm so glad I went. Like some of you, I'd been hiding my hair with pony tails, headbands and bobby pins for way too long.
Rachel lifted me from the darkness and into the light of cute bangs. You know you are in good hands when your hairdresser "guarantees perfection," and she didn't lead me astray. The weird part? Even though it was one of the best haircuts I'd ever had, it was also one of the fastest!
My fiance saw Titty on the same day, and while I usually silently grumble over how his usual person gives him a near military cut, Titty did a great job!
Did I mention how reasonable their prices are for the amazing quality?

Steps to calling Colorado 'home':
1. Find a place to live
2. Move
3. Try to get all of my old friends to move to CO with me
4. Get a CO driver's license
5. Get CO license plates
6. Get used to the fact that there isn't an H&M, Zara, MNG, TJ's, or In N Out
7. Find new stylist to cut hair and stop flying back to California for my haircuts
Until yesterday, I had only completed steps 1 and 2. Now, I can cross of #7!!!!! This is really sad considering I've lived in Denver for...I don't know...17 months????
Titty - You rock!! Thanks for the new hair!!!!!!!!
I loved this place. I went there for the first time yesterday to get my haircut. Carolyn was amazing and is not afraid to tell you if she thinks it is not a good fit! I was even offered a delicious PBR while I got my haircut. I love my new cut and found my new stylist!
