5 reviews for Ba-Dar Chinese Restaurant
After 2 tries at Ba-Dar, it's time to review.
1. Take out is better
2. Take out is better
The Carnivore felt guilty for enjoying most meals while Veggie Girl spends an inordinate amount of time either pouting or fuming. He calls Ba-Dar and orders every entree, dumpling, egg roll and rice on the menu. Think Sandra Bullock in "Two Weeks Notice" as she orders take out....
Veggie Girl arrives home to steaming cartons of Veggie Lo Mein; Veggie Fried Rice, Veggie Egg Rolls, light and crispy fortune cookies. No one knows this, but according to Veggie Girl's fortune, Opportunity knocks when the door is often closed. Whatever. Hand over that fried rice!
The Carnivore loved his porky- porkertons with a side of pork - no one spoke for at least 10 minutes while the food just slid down.
Veggie Fried Rice, Veggie Egg Rolls, Vegetable Lo Mein; Sweet and Sour Pork (without even asking, they kept the sauce separate) Pork Fried Rice; Pork Pot Stickers, fortune cookies, lots of soy sauce and Chinese mustard - $40.00. Veggie Girl suspects there was a Chinese beer consumed during the wait process, still worth it.
This restaurant has good Chinese food and good portions of it. I very rarely dine in I always take out . But I've been eating here for years and never had any complaints.
Great for Take-Out (they deliver, but we usually pick up). There is a big crowd, sitting by the fish tank waiting for their orders on Friday night. For some reason, the food's not as delicious when we eat at the restaurant.
Possibly the take-out container is a secret ingredient. We ask for extra spicy on everything, even the Lo Mein, and it always has that heat we crave. Ba-Dar is a great basic, neighborhood Chinese fix.
The food is great here. But all the food in the world won't taste sweet when you are treated like you are not there. Service is the main reason for the rating. If you do want to dine in, skip this place. But like I said before, the food is good so if you want to pickup, that will prob work better.
The service didn't ask us what we wanted to drink. We had to flag them down to get drinks. We were never visited to see if we wanted anything else or if we were doing fine.
Best Chinese in town "Ba-Dar" None. Delivery takes a loooooong time so we always pick up.
