Established in 1985
B.W. Baker Insurance Services was founded to serve the unique insurance needs of Malibu residents. We are a multi-line insurance agency affiliated with the Farmers Insurance Group of Companies. Our long-standing partnership with Farmers has given us the ability to provide friendly, local service paired with the financial strength of one of America's top insurers.Our founder and owner, Bart Baker, moved to Malibu to raise his family in 1980. Together with his wife, Wendy, Bart founded and sold multiple businesses before deciding to focus exclusively on insurance. Bart and Wendy started B.W. Baker Insurance in a small office on Point Dume in Malibu and successfully grew the business into one of the top Farmers Agencies in the country.
Meet the Business Owner: Bart B.
A native Angelino and 32-year Malibu resident, Bart is a renowned insurance professional. He has proudly been a Farmers Agent since 1985 and has spent his years attaining the highest honors in the company. He is a 5x Presidents Council Agent, and has represented Farmers on the Zurich Insurance Advisory Council and at the Million Dollar Round Table. For over twenty years, Bart had a career in civil service as an Los Angeles County Fireman. He resides in Malibu with his wife, Wendy, and his German Shepard, Jasso. Above all, they enjoy spending time with their three children and four grandsons. Bart is an avid cyclist, enjoys Pinot Noir and loves supporting local charities including the Lighthouse Women & Children Emergency Shelter and the Boys & Girls Club of Malibu.
