Wood fired pizza...west linner, http://BOMB.com.  Salty, sweet, creamy, crispy, buttery.  MUST HAVE

Swiss/mushroom burger, fresh toasted bun, tangy Swiss, juicy mushrooms, PERFECTLY cooked burger, there's more...double dipped French fries....crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside.

Service was GREAT as it should be, and I'm a tough one to please.  to top it off, our bill was taken care of by the manager, thanks Paul :)

The food was decent, but not super exciting.

The servers were good wi th kids, but don't actually bring any beverage for anyone for quite a while.

They let the kids make a small piece of crust into whatever shape and then they bake it as a small breadstick thing. It was neat but not cool enough to go back for.

I drive by this place daily so I thought we should try it out sometime. My little one wanted pizza so we tried it out. Quite disappointed.

The service was decent. The guy who showed us in was friendly, our waitress not so much. She did her job and that was about it. No smile, no intro, no hello. 3 stars.

The spinach & artichoke dip was good, but nothing special. 3 stars. We ordered the primo-vera, the vegetarian. I'm not sure how you get bland with garlic sauce and feta cheese but it was. I couldn't taste much garlic, the crust was crispy but the dough under the pizza was a bit soft. The cheese was also rubbery...... 1 star.

For wood-fired pizza I'm sticking with Kens Artisan.

    Three-and-half-stars!!!

It's not the best pizza all around but this is the best pizza in this little town of West Linn (good enough when I just don't feel like driving anywhere else).

I like the crispy crust (sometimes a little burn) but still tasty.

The services hmmmm just ok!  They always forget something - water, beer, napkins, and other necessary (They were not even that busy). Sigh!

Our experience was just mediocre. We arrived at 7pm on a Sunday night and decided to wait 15 mins for a seat. While waiting, 5 other groups came in and left due to a lack of sitting space in the waiting area.

Once finally called to be seated, we were brought to a table that wasn't thoroughly cleaned. There were crayons and silverware under the table and crumbs all over the table, chairs, and booth cracks.

Our server was great, but we were in the back where we could see the employees open drinks and conversation area. We were by the back door and could feel the cold air brush by us as the employees stepped out to smoke cigarettes.

The artichoke dip was flavorful, but runny. The pizza and dessert was really good and our drinks were never empty.

The only way I will be back is for a pizza togo.

The food is great.  The crowd was very mixed with families, couples, groups of friends and everyone happy and having a good time.  It was very pleasant.

The service was quick and our server got everything right, first time.  The overall experience was well worth it!

    Go have pizza at B. J. Willy's!

My daughter and I went here last night.  I had read through the Yelp reviews prior to going and though I'd give it a shot given the very positive thoughts on the pizza.  I WAS SO NOT IMPRESSED!!

To their credit the service was as it should be.  The waiter was prompt and cordial, but the food....oh the food.  We ordered happy hour caesar salads and a West Linner...both were mediocre at best.  A caesar should be pungent and yummy and this one just wasn't.  It was bland through and through.  I'm not sure how they managed to create a pizza with pesto sauce, fresh basil, sun dried tomatoes and roasted garlic and prosciutto with zero flavor; they did though.

I wanted to like this place.  I will not be returning.

Just not what I'm looking for in a pizza.

The crust somehow managed to be chewy and dry and yet, entirely too hard. We got a pizza that had artichoke hearts and feta and all sorts of delicious goodies on it, but it tasted like nothing. It looked gorgeous and I thought I was in for a massive treat, and just didn't love it, even a little.

The price was definitely fair if not cheapish, and the bar tender was really nice. The decor was just sorta so-so...(kinda a terrible would-be French with bad prints) I sorta thought with a name like B.J. Willy's it would kinda be cooky inside and it wasn't- not entirely a bad thing, however. Maybe it was just a bad night/time to go?We had a drink and got our pizza to go. I want to like it, really I do... but I don't.

After note: since I wrote this first review I went to the bar section of the other B.J Willeys. The bartender was crass and difficult and an absolute hoot. Maybe, I'll be giving these places another try.

Loved their veggie pesto pizza--thin, crispy crust and toasty around the edges, with a good portion of tasty veggies on top.

My little girl thought that the dough they brought her to sculpt before baking was awesome--she had enough fun playing with it that we almost didn't get around to the baking.

The server was nice and helpful and the interior of the restaurant looked pleasant, in a dimly-lit way, though we sat outside so we could soak up the rays.  The patio isn't so wonderful--it's snuggled right up next to the cars in the parking lot, but still it was nice to get a bit of Vitamin D with our pizza.

And sometimes it's the little things that bump a place from 4 stars to 5.  Like cloth napkins.  And lemon in the water.

I wish we lived nearby and could frequent B.J. Willy's more often!

SERVICE: well... it was really SLOW. and our server lit a to-go box on fire by opening it over a candle to put the pizza inside. I actually noticed it first and put out the fire.

FOOD: not impressed with anything except the pizza. my boyfriend and I had already agreed we would never come back unless the pizza was awesome, and it was. So we will put up with the rest for it.

ATMOSPHERE: Nicer sports bar type of thing.

OVERALL: I would have given this place only one star if it wasn't for the pizza.  That totally saved their ass!

Loving the original location so much, we were optimistic about their new location!  I have to say, the pizza's are fantastic! We found the service to be just as good too...Super friendly and efficient!
The seating is awkward...super small lobby that is not going to be good in the winter (I'm thinking!) The bar is SMALL and for us that really enjoy the original location's bar, this won't be where you would be hanging out. These are things that are dictated by the overall space and it is limiting. We will find ourselves at the original location as I must say, the bar area is where we usually dine and it is comfortable their. If we had a couple kids with us we would go back here...maybe late night for happy hour too! Try it as I know you will love it!

Happy hour margaritas and woodfired pizza sound like the perfect combination for lazy summer afternoons.

The original B.J. Willy's, located in the Old Willamette district, is my neighborhood bar and restaurant. And while it isn't my perfect place, they do a lot right and I am constantly impressed by the involved ownership.

Jeff and Brian just launched their second restaurant in the Bolton neighborhood and it has the promise of becoming a great local hangout for folks in that part of town. It was formerly Centanni's and they've renovated the space from a swank, but slightly sterile, martini bar to a more casual, dimly lit, pizza kitchen. The woodfired oven remains and pizza is the focus of the menu, but you wouldn't recognize the rest of the space which is now filled with wood booths and paneling.

Since it is early days, they are still ironing out the kinks, but I had a truly outstanding server on our first visit. Both of my visits this week have been during happy hour, but we've ordered from all three menus (kids, dinner and happy hour). One of things they do well is to offer both an early and a late night happy hour (how very Portland) at both locations.

The biggest draw for me is the happy hour margarita ($3.50). Combine that with reasonably priced pizza and it is a great option for an early dinner. We've made our own pizza both times and I like the taste of the slightly charred thin crust. Not everyone likes charring, especially kids, so it really just depends on your personal preferences. I've just been surprised at the minimal amount of cheese, so I'll order extra cheese on our next visit.

Aside from pizza, they've brought over a few appetizers and menu items from their main restaurant.  They also have plans to offer more discount lunch options in the future since they are just down the hill from West Linn High School.

The seating is a little bit awkward. I like the counter by the pizza oven so you can watch the action, but so far I've only sat in the booths. They have several flat screen TVs in the bar area, but a tall partition blocks the view for most tables in the restaurant. Maybe not everyone feels this way, but I would love to bring the kids and be able to eat pizza and watch a game. It can be challenging to find a place where both adults and kids like the menu and this place fits the bill.

There are a few patio tables outside, but it is right beside the parking lot, so it isn't the best environment. I'm really happy they've finally opened and I have high hopes for many visits with the family this summer.

To set the context, we have a 2.5 y/o who hadn't had their nap.  So dinner was going to be interesting.

B.J. Willy's staff were awesome.  They gave her some pizza dough to play with and then baked it and she got to eat her own creation!  Cool.  Our server was very nice and understanding and when things were going south towards the end she was attentive and got the bill to us quickly so we could keep things under control :).  In addition, someone who wasn't our server also helped out and was entertaining the little one.  Just an awesome crew and a great place to bring kids.

The pizza was awesome too.  We made our own (roasted peppers, roasted garlic, katamala olives, crimini mushrooms, mozarella).  Excellent flavor.  My salad was very nice as well.  Good beers and happy hour despite the limited selection.

We sat inside, but they have a huge outside area to eat that would rock on those wonderful summer evenings.

    I would definitely go back.

Pizza was great.  We ordered 4 for our table of 5 and went home with lots of leftovers which was a good thing!  The fire pizza was great and not as spicy as it sounded.  The best thing we ordered was the Mac and Cheese pizza.  Sounds weird, but it was sooooo good!!!

We went back to bj's last night for Taco Tuesday ( a thing we do) and my girlfriend and I had the ahi tuna fish taco's. Superb! Mango salsa and grilled ahi..fabulous.  Very very good. My husband had the Philly Cheese-steak sandwich which he loved..melty and cheesy, it looked pretty good.  Service was excellent by a darling girl on her second shift. She was adorable, always smiling and attentive. Loved her.  Great night.

80 degrees outside @ 8 p.m. and 90 in the house; no way was I going to cook. Husband and I decided to try BJ Willy's down the hill on 43. When we got there a little after 8, the crowds had thinned-out. Got seated quickly and both of us immediately ordered Stella on draft.  Ahhh...Whew!

Proceeded to order The Brick pizza -- sausage, pepperoni, salami, mushrooms and olives. Quite tasty with lots of flavor.  Loved the thin crust and the wood fired influence -- crispy, yet still a bit chewy.  Service was friendly and efficient.  For a neighborhood restaurant in West Linn, 5 stars; otherwise, 4 stars if comparing with similar restaurants in the metro area.

I was not impressed.  The wait was long, the service was "OK" at best, but in being fair, they were understaffed from what I could see.  The servers were kind but pulled.  It had to be one of the worst burgers ever.  The patty was straight out of a grocery store.  The house salad was equally as processed and straight from the grocery.  We waited forever for the food.  The pizza came out 8 minutes before the burger and appetizer.  The kids said the pizza was "OK" but I wouldn't spend $60.00 that way again.

Went with a baby and 6 year old in tow. Thought they'd be used to dealing with children, especially since their kids menu has two sections "Little Kids" "Big Kids". The high chair didn't reach all the way to the table so my daughter kept trying to kick herself over, I had to hang onto the high chair the entire time to keep herself from upending on the floor. The server was completely indifferent to me eating solo and dealing with 2 children. I had to flag him down to get a small salad for myself, flag him down again to ask where my son's sandwich was, flag him down again to get a refill, you get the point. When my husband got there about 20 minutes after we were seated, we knew right away what we wanted to order, waited for the server to come back...waited...waited...then finally had to flag him down yet again as he ran by us like his pants were on fire, holding up his first finger in the "wait a minute" position. The place wasn't that busy. Finally got a standard pizza and some flatbread. The pizza was burned, toppings were unremarkable, the flatbread had zero flavor, and the hummus that came with it..I could purchase a tastier version in the grocery store. The one very small positive, is their french fries (came with son's grilled cheese), are absolutely delicious. Other than that, this place is a big zero and not worth the time and money.

Have eaten in and taken out and I'd have to say the take out isn't always up to snuff. I love the sandwiches, soups and salads. Have always had great food and service when dining it, but when I ordered a pizza and salad to dine at home, not impressed. I send clients that visit my shop from other parts of town and they seem happy with the lunch menu and have returned making it a traditional stop when in this part of town. I'm just not sure it's my take out pizza spot yet.
