First off, I've been getting my haircut at the same place by the same person for 7years. i would regularly make a 1hr drive just to get my hair cut. So I needed something closer, After trying out George's and Camille's and being disappointed a few times. I heard about Maria at a place called HairCutters on Sepulveda that does asian cuts and fades very well and someone mentioned she moved to B Beauty.
I walked in and was greeted by the store owner Bill. Which knows way too much about hair care in a good way.
His prices are very competitive with other local hair salons
There is always parking,
You can get a few errands done around the shop. Very nice place to spend the afternoon while waiting on someone getting a cut too. -

I like this place. Aside from the parking where I think I got yelled "YOU BURN IN HELL ALL OF YOU" at by a crazy guy, it wasn't that bad.
They don't have as many products as the stores that I usually go to. But hey, I'm from 6 hours north of LA, so I can't really go there on a whim...
Anyways, I was looking for a new place in LA for my beauty supply needs, especially when I LOVE to dye my hair ALL the time. This place isn't it. Well, it could be.
The gentleman who works here is EXTREMELY helpful and VERY nice. He knows what he's talking about.
But the store is planning to move a few blocks away from this location on Palms so he said he hadn't been buying supplies for a while so that they could move easier. Sadness... but it was whatever since the thing I wanted to buy was discontinued anyways. BUT STILL- he helped me buy what I needed.
If they were more stocked in different hair dying things/bleaching stuffs and if their new location is close to where I am, then maybe I'll come here more often.
This place ain't too shabby. (: -

b Beauty is a wonderful beauty supply and salon. Reyna is a great hair stylist and expert colorist. I love her! My daughter sees Letty who does a great Brazilian blow out. Amalia is also a wonderful hairstylist. b Beauty also has a nice supply of products. I am so happy you decided to open in Mar Vista! Thank you Bill!!!

Love this place! Same folks who used to be at Palms Beauty Supply on Palms, and I would follow them even farther if I had to (but this location is even more convenient with Whole Foods and Starbucks right there).
Great selection and prices on supplies, from nail polish and shampoo and Dermalogica and such to the more serious hair care/coloring items that I personally leave to the professionals. And Reyna does a *fantastic* job cutting my hair. Honestly couldn't be happier with these guys. -

This place is a true gem! Don't be put off by its not so shiny exterior or its strip mall location. Look past it and do yourself a favor and venture in.
The gentleman who works here is incredibly kind and helpful. I am a total rookie at hair color and he walked me through which color to buy, even matched it up to my roots. He took the time to show me which worked with what and how and helped me pick out the necessary supplies.
Coming here was an all around super experience and I highly recommend making this your go-to beauty supplies destination! I left with everything I needed plus a huge smile on my face.
They carry a wide supply of products. Please do not go to Sallys - which is a shithole in my opinion. Go here instead, you'll be berry berry happy you did.Listed in: My Neighborhood

I do realize that this is a teeny tiny little beauty supply store and that its selection is trounced by bigger beauty supply stores, but I am completely biased because this is the *only* beauty supply store I have found in the entire freaking city that carries the full suite of Punky Colour. Like me, the owner pooh-poohs at Special Effects-- we agreed that despite its popularity, it remains an inferior coloring product and that Punky reigns supreme. He stocks extra jars of Violet just for me, that nice nice man, and sells it to me at a scandalously cheap price. He is my hero.

FOR MEN; I was yelping for a new hairdresser since my other one started to get so busy, he was rushing between clients. Saw the reviews about Amalia; got past the fact that she was in the back of a beauty supply store; and was glad I did! Set for life or for as long as I have hair!

the owner of this place is sooooooooooo nice and helpful. I have gone in a few times looking for a certain type of hair product because my hair is really curly and i wear it different ways all the time - straight - wavy - curly - and he has helped me find the perfect product for every style -and when he has a sale - he shows me products that are the equivalent but cost less....i buy products from him because he has what i want - but also because I like to support good business run by good people!!!!!!

Fantastic Keratin treatment! Leticia gave me a keratin treatment and my hair has never been this soft and manageable in my life. Not only that, it was so affordable. About 1/2 of what I would have paid at another salon. Get this treatment if you have frizzy or unruly hair you won't regret it. Go C Leticia or Amalia they are wonderful!

kinda unusual for a straight American-born Asian man to know so much about beauty products, but this guy seriously beats my girlfriends in terms of knowledge. (And I work in the beauty industry). I only wish he carried more green and Zoya products.

Love, love, love Amalia. I have been cutting and coloring my hair with her for many years, and she is absolutely the best. Before I found her, I was never happy with my color and my hair always looked overprocessed and dry. Since Amalia has been doing my hair, it's healthy and shiny and she knew exactly what color would work best for me. Just when I thought I couldn't say enough good things about her, she straightened my hair with the keratin treatment, and wow, my hair has never looked better. I will not go to anyone else. Amalia is my hairstylist for life. P.S. Another plus, her prices are very reasonable.
