Yana is just amazing at what she does and is so friendly and gentle.
She asks if I'm all right whenever I yelp in pain, then we both laugh when I say it's okay.
I always put extra money in the meter thinking that it will take longer but, in reality, it takes just about 10 minutes...15 max. And her space is so warm, tranquil, and comfortable you feel right at home.
I will never trust my flower with anyone else. Thank you, Yana!
You're the absolute best. -

I realized that I never did complete a review, even though I found this place through Yelp some time ago. The type of wax Yana uses has permanently rocked my world, and I panic whenever I have scheduling issues that force me to go elsewhere. It smells great and feels smoother and "creamier" than any other wax that has ever been used on me. Makes an otherwise unpleasant act soooo much better.
And as everyone else has said, don't overlook their whole "no double dipping" practice. That is HUGE, ladies! Just Google "double dip wax"...'nuff said.

I have been coming here for the last year since I've moved to LA! Yana is absolutely amaazzzziinnnng, she's fast and very professional. I never have any problems when it comes to making appointments I'm always in and out. they recently moved down a little further in studio city which I don't mind not 1 bit, def worth the extra mile or two!

Yana is an artist and amazing at her profession. I was always irritated at the thought of shaving my pubic area and so for that reason never fond of the practice. If you are speculating in waxing you need to come here. I had my first brazilian waxing experience at her establishment and she was gentle, fun, and precise. I am very happy with my results. :)

I purchased a Living Social voucher for this place after reading up on their original hype. I was looking forward to it and making an appointment was easy and convenient. However, after I made my appointment, i received two phone calls reminding me of my appointment and a firm reminder to be on time. Okay, I get it. I'll be on time.
First of all, the location is interesting. It's a single room in a location shared by many small 1-room businesses. This is not a spa or salon. It is ONE room. OK, i can handle that too.
Well, I was 10 minutes early and waited outside while they finished up
with another client. I waited 40 minutes. If you tell me to be on time, I expect you to be on time as well, give or take 5 minutes or something like that. Not half an hour late! Problem #1.
Problem #2: I got the impression that the esthetician was a newbie. She was nervous, didn't exhibit proper technique, was awkward, and hurt. I have had brazilians before. They have never hurt as much as she did, and I've never experienced bruising! WTF?!
Problem #3: When I got home, I showed off my wax "service" to my husband and was appalled to learn that the esthetician hadn't been thorough all the way around.
Problem #4: Because of her poor technique, ingrown hairs abound.

Yana, the owner/ waxer, was my go-to gal when I lived over on that side of town. I went to her for my brazilans, and she did a pretty good job. She ALWAYS wears gloves and NEVER double dips which is super important.
She keeps a clean shop and is nice, but parking can suck if you're going during peak hours on the weekend. You will either have to circle the block or valet your car in a garage with tiny spaces.
The only two things I had problems with was that she tended to miss hairs in places you can't easily see while she's waxing you because you don't want to go inspect your delicate areas while she's right next to you (since you're already vulnerable with your v-spot all exposed), and last minute appointments are almost never possible.
Other than that, I would go back to her if I was going to be on her side of town and needed a waxing. -

I discovered Yana and B.B. Wax through PopSugar. Since then, I swear by her.
Yana does a fabulous and thorough job. French wax and no double dipping.
Ambiance/Staff/Service:
Clean. Option to purchase high quality creams/lotions for skin and ingrowns. TV to keep you occupied if you're not in the talking mood - though I always am and Yana is great to converse with. She's polite, sincere, and gives fab advice! -

I've never really been loyal to one aesthetician - no one has blown me away with their eyebrow waxing skills and by the time I think about getting my no-no waxed, I am scrambling for a last minute appointment making my waxing options limited.
I bought the Living Social coupon and I am SO glad that I did. I have found my go-to girl. No doubt about it. I have another girl I like too, but here I can get the whole shebang done just as amazing.
I love what Yana did to my eyebrows. Even my mom likes them! My mom's biggest fear in life is to have someone make my eyebrows too thin which would in turn make me look perpetually scared.
The Brazilian was relatively painless. I am serious! She knows what she is doing and she uses some special wax that didn't make me want to claw at the ceiling.
Yay for Yana! -

This is my second time ever writing a review, but I had to because of how awesome Yana is.
I've had my share of waxes from multiple estheticians and I can genuinely say Yana was the best, and LESS painful than them all. It may be because of the hard wax she uses (no paper), however, I've had this type of wax done from others and it was still pretty painful.
I have a high tolerance for pain in regards to waxing, but I'm telling you, if you want your first experience to be 50% less hurtful than your friends claim - go here. Yana is also nice to talk with for those who are chatty (like me).
Definitely worth your while and your money. -

I came back here there to prepare for my Holiday Party Time and got Chemical peel and Microdermabrasion plus Ultrasound again together with brows shaping and tinting and got a lot of compliments during this last week. My skin is glowing ! Even though I had some scars from my teenage years I can see how they are diminishing! Yana does a great skincare job!

I have been going to B&B for the last few months since moving to Sherman Oaks and couldn't be happier. I can always get an appointment and they are extremely responsive when you leave a message. They do a great job with eyebrow waxing and the place is very sanitary. It is located in building with a lot of small shops- mostly hair salons. There is always parking out front.

Gone back a few times now and can say that this woman knows how to get her wax on! Still hurts but she never leaves any stragglers behind so totally worth it. I would be a very unhappy person if I went through the pains of getting a Brazilian wax only to find that it had been done sloppily.

I spent hours on yelp trying to find a conveniently located, not-too-pricey, friendly, hard wax-using, and, most importantly, CLEAN place to get my first brazilian wax. Based on the reviews here on yelp, I decided to call Yana. I scheduled an appointment for later that day.
Yana is everything I was looking for. I was amazed by how painless it was. It was the least painful wax I've had, and I've waxed just about everything at some point or another. Hard wax + 11 years of waxing experience + cute and clean facilities + Yana? GO. You won't regret it. -

I was in the Valley on an extended business trip and needed a waxing before spending some time poolside. I found this place based on proximity to my hotel & availability. When I called to make an appointment I got voicemail but received a call back immediately from Yana. That's just the beginning of her great customer service.
The studio is a space in a larger building that houses other beauty businesses. This was my first time in this type of location. Yana's studio is small, tasteful and private. There is no waiting area, it's just one small room.
Yana was very professional and efficient. She uses a hard wax that doesn't require muslin strips. Germophobes, rejoice: she also does not "double dip" the wooden sticks in the wax which is great, especially when using the wax on any, uh, sensitive areas.
This is a great place! -

I'm so glad I found BB Waxing!
I was born with messed up eyebrows. They kind of angle down on the ends and I never had an arch. I thought they were unfixable - until Yana did an excellent job of waxing and shaping them! I now have an arch!
Without revealing too much info, she also did an excellent Brazilian. I used to frequent Queen Bee in Culver City, but they always left some strays, and they had you in and out of that place like a factory. Yana takes extra time and care in making sure you come out clean. She also uses a special wax that doesn't require strips and doesn't leave you all sticky.
Go support BB Waxing & Aesthetique all the way! It's located in Sola Spa (free parking), which is a very clean facility where individual artists rent out rooms. I'll definitely be back. Her prices are excellent, too. -

I called in and received an appt the next day. But when I came, no one was there. Apparently there was some kind of mix up with the schedule so I ended up waiting about 20 minutes. But when she came, she was so friendly and apologetic I let it go. I forget the name of the person who did my waxing but I thought she was great. She was thorough, made me feel comfortable and it was fairly painless.

Had lash extensions done here and they turned out amazing! I have had extensions done many times before, I know when they are done well and when they are not.
B.B. Wax & Aesthetique were professional, quick and cheaper than a bunch of other places I called. I wanted to get them done ASAP so they made time for me on short notice.
She asked me if I wanted natural or dramatic and I told her "You are the professional, whatever you think my existing lashes can handle", she made them perfect and I am very pleased, now I get to wake up with gorgeous long lashes and never worry about mascara, with a toddler in the house this saves time! Thank you for my gorgeous lashes, it's so addictive once you've had them done :) -

Yana is amazing and her studio is clean, professional and very nice. Yana uses hard wax so there's no need for strips and it's virtually painless. I asked for a Brazilian and Yana did a great job. She was very patient and made sure that there was no stray hair. Yana is also really sweet and engaging. I recommend her for anyone who wants an inexpensive but amazing wax.

I went here today for a wax and I was very impressed. Yana was nice and professional. It was one of the least painful waxing experiences I have had, and the best part is that there is NO DOUBLE DIPPING!! :) I would definitely go back.

I really wanted to give this place a higher rating but I can't. I had 2 procedures done, eyebrows and Brazilian. It was my first Brazilian and about my thousandth eyebrow wax. I assume she was great with the Brazilian, I might review again after I've had another at a different salon.
The eyebrow wax on the other hand was fine during however, I have an ingrown hair now! I have been having my eyebrows waxed for about 12 years and I have never had an ingrown hair. I know have a huge bump above my eye.
Yana is really great and super nice but I just can't go back there after having an ingrown eyebrow hair for the first time ever. -

I got a Brazilian wax with Tatyana yesterday, and she was GREAT! She only used the blue hard wax (which I love), &&&&... SHE USED A NEW STICK EVERY TIME SHE DIPPED! It's such a great, sanitary measure, and not nearly enough aestheticians do it. She was also super thorough. I'd absolutely recommend her to anyone and plan to go back.

I just visited yana today and was very pleased with her work. I received a natural set of eyelash extensions. She is very pleasant, professional, and accommodating. I'm hoping they last for two months but only time will tell. Yana did give me a list of instructions to follow to help make them last, but for $99 I had to give it a try.

I love this place! It's clean, Yana is amazing, and there is little to no pain!!!! I've tried multiple places throughout the LA area since moving out here almost 2 years ago. She is very educated about the products she uses on her clients. I am just amazed! So excited that I have finally found a place that I love. Her prices are great!!! Her attention to detail is amazing!!! I highly recommend this place to everyone I know!!! :)
