I was surprised at how much I liked this place. They are affiliated with Croxleys, so you know the bar/beer will be great! They serve their beer in mason jars $5.00. They carry Butternuts, Bluepoint, Blue moon, etc... they even have PBR! Beer price: $2.00 cans Mon-Fri 5-7pm! Our waitress was great. and overall I enjoyed hanging out there. I thought this would be one of those overcrowded RVC restaurant/bars but I was wrong.. We came on a rainy Friday night. There was plenty of room inside, the place is a decent size with a backyard (formerly Cardiff by the Sea).
Ok so whenever I get BBQ I usually get Brisket. I decided on the sandwich $9.95 because it was cheaper than the platter $14.95. It was delicious.
The sandwich was presented sitting on top of a large mound of spiced french fries (that were so tasty). I knew I had to try the Mac & Cheese app $5.95 (check out my photo yum)... My sister told me it was excellent..she was right!!!. She also recommended the creamed spinach (although we did not order it).
My boyfriend and 2 friends all loved what they ordered and we decided we would definitely be back! This is a great place if you are looking to dine somewhere different in RVC... Not too many BBQ places around this area .. Switch it up from Italian, Thai, Japanese & Pub food.. make it a BBQ night! -

Such a cute place. They make a great extra dirty martini!! The restaurant/ bar has a really cute setup with the sayings on the walls and the garage feel. I love the stoles you sit in, they were super comfy. The bartender girls, were cute and so sweet, which is always a plus anywhere you go.
I haven't eaten here yet, but I'd like to try it soon!
They have a lot of beers on tap, which was great for the people I was with, big beer drinkers and of course it's in a great location! -

I love me some BBQ . . . and this place is no exception to that.
Went there with some buddies the other night and had a fun evening. I love how they serve up there tap beers -- rather than using an ordainary pitcher, they use glass "moonshine" jugs and rather than pilsner glasses, they supply you with actual mason jars to drink from. And they have quite a selection of beer to choose from . . . everything from PBR, Sam Adams, Guinness and a bunch more, as well as top shelf liquors to choose from as well.
Oh, for those that are intersting in knowing, YES they are a restaurant from the group that owns Croxley Ales and Waterzooi . . . I've heard mixed reviews on Croxley and pretty good things about Waterzooi, so add this one to your list if you are a fan of either.
As for the meal . . . the Burnt Ends Nachos are my new favorite appetizer. They pile the nachos high, top it with LOTS of good stuff (of course not good FOR you, but good none-the-less) -- I just wished they included more burnt ends, but that is just me. Their Chipotle BBQ Buffalo wings came in a wonderfully dark, tangy, tasty sauce -- I practically wanted to lick the wax paper at the bottom of the tray when we were done with the wings, but I tried to control myself.
As for the main course . . . I got their "Pig Out" offering which included a half-rack of baby backs (yummy), their hot link sausage (spicy yummy), and their brisket (eh . . . not what I was hoping for in the way of BBQ brisket), this is where they fell short and found that it did not compliment the rest of the meal in its preparation. And the "26 spice" french fries, tasted like standard fries . . . nothing of note.
It was a VERY filling meal, and provided left overs for the following evening at home. Will I go back? Probably . . . Will I avoid the brisket? . . . Probably. But if the remainder is as good as it was the first time around, I will continue to be happy getting my BBQ here. -

I'm not the biggest barbeque fan, but I was excited when I saw there was somewhere new to eat in Rockville Centre. The first nice day we went here for some barbeque. They have a cute little eating area out back where you can eat. We got some mason-jarred beers and ordered some 25 cent wings to start. The food here is pretty good. The wings were as good as Croxley's across the street and they have a couple of different varieties, including a Chipotle BBQ, that I def. want to try. The brisket is especially awesome. I like coleslaw a lot, but they're a little heavy handed with their 25-spice mixture, which seems to go on everything they serve. It's great on the fries, I just wish it wasn't also on the coleslaw. They have two different types of bbq sauce on the table for you to use. One's hot, the other is normal. Both are really sweet, I kind of wish there was a third light-on-the-sugar option of sauce. The cornbread was probably the only thing I've tried that I didn't like. All in all, this is a good option for a place to get some food, esp. to just hang out with some wings and beers.
