I have to echo all the 5 star reviews. We hired Jen for our wedding in April 2011 and the pictures are amazing. It was super easy to work with B&G. The ordering process online was great for family and friends too. I recommend checking out their website as the pictures really speak for themselves! Jen was also very helpful and responsive after the wedding, working with her on the album was easy to do by email (as we live in Northern California) and the album turned out beautifully.
Thanks Jen for being such an amazing photographer! I highly recommend B&G photography! -

We started working with Jen for our wedding in a very roundabout kinda way. But we couldn't be any happier.
We loved our first meeting with Jen and felt she really took the time to figure out what we wanted (even when we weren't really sure). She was always professional and quick to respond to emails.
The day of the wedding she always there, but never in the way. To have someone else spend the day at your side (besides your new spouse) she's the person you want. She is just fun and nice and really good at helping manage those awkward family moments when your Mom wants an impromptu photoshoot with your 47 aunts, uncles, and cousins.
We loved our photos and were very happy with how they turned out. She did a great job of getting a good mix of "us" photos, along with family, friends, and the details.
Love her! -

We hired B&G for our May 2011 wedding in SoCal, and they were amazing.
We already loved their work because they did my husband's cousin's wedding the year before.
Jen and Nate are an awesome husband and wife team, they are so nice and down to earth. They did a great job at the wedding, working with all our requests (like not wanting to see each other before the ceremony).
And they offer so many great services after the big day too. The online gallery is a great way to share photos with your guests, and the proof book itself is like a work of art. They offer so much guidance in selecting albums, etc. (a process that can take several more months after you've recovered from the wedding!).
Right after the wedding Jen posted a few "teaser" photos on facebook and tagged us in them. That was a really fun treat because we were so excited to see how everything had turned out.
I would definitely recommend B&G to all my friends. -

We are so happy we hired B&G...they were professional and true artists! You captured our day perfect...just as I remembered but maybe even better. Beyond my expectations.
We love our wedding pictures! Thanks Jen! You are the best! -

OMG: Their final work after my sister's wedding was absolutely fantastic! Flipping through their 1000+ photos just brought me right back to the celebrations that our family throughout my sister's memorable day!
If you are looking around for wedding photographers, stop right here and choose B&G photography! This young couple, Nate & Jen, were some of the nicest and talented photographers I've seen in awhile. They photographed my sister's traditional Indian wedding that happened on the 4th of July weekend and went for 6 days with over 800 guests in Los Angeles. This pair of photographers were absolute troopers throughout the long hours and days of festivities.
From the moment they met my sister and her (now) husband, they were able to make instant connections with both of them. They even were able to make my brother in law smile in the photographs (a difficult feat)! Throughout the week long events, I was really impressed at the way both photographers could move around so seamlessly that nobody would even notice that they were taking photos and without ever missing a significant moment of the festivities. Their work is so versatile because they could take portrait style photos as well as candid shots right there at each event. Plus, they had such a range in their photography style that they can effectively use their camera apertures to focus on key parts of a shot, and also make great use of shutter speed to portray movement as well as stills within the wedding events. Since this couple shoots each event simultaneouly, they can capture the same shot with multiple angles.
These photographers were able to get along with all the guests and make them feel really comfortable during the photo shoots. In addition, they were so respectful for all of the cultural aspects of our wedding event. When the family was having a moment, they didn't intrude, but rather obtained shots with large telephoto lenses. When they needed to capture a close-in shot, they quickly moved in and out of the line of sight of the guests to minimize distractions. They even removed their shoes at our Indian wedding ceremony when they were approaching the religious apparati of the wedding - now that's respect for your event!
They caught EVERYTHING from the beauty of the setup in the various sites that we had our parties all the way 'till the bride and groom left the location. Thus, I would recommend Nate and Jen to almost everybody who planning a wedding. They are just plain fantastic!
To check out some of their work from our wedding event, go to their website http://www.bandgphotog..., and check out Niyati and Vikram's wedding on July 2006. There, you can get a glimpse of their work from their very own personal blog. Happy snapping! -

My husband & I hired B&G to shoot our wedding in Beverly Hills last March and we are so happy we did.
Not only are husband and wife team, Jen and Nate, extremely talented (our photos are gorgeous!), they are lovely people. All-in-all, I was a pretty calm bride, but fast-forward to me having a total meltdown upon noticing a stain on my stunning Les Habitudes wedding gown (my bridesmaids were spraying bronzer on their shoulders next to my dress...duhhhh!!!) about an hour before walking down the aisle. I turned into a mega-beast, but Jen was so calm & sweet, and really helped me to get over the dress disaster and be in the moment.
Upon hiring a photographer, we wanted to make sure our photos weren't too staged or pose-y. I conveyed to Jen & Nate that this was a formal wedding, but I didn't want super-formal photos. The end result was spectacular candids and ceremony shots with a very romantic, whimsical mood. Even the posed family/wedding party shots (which I usually feel look stiff) are fabulous.
I would recommend B&G highly to anyone who craves beautiful, emotional photos. Their services aren't cheap, but still very reasonable when you compare the rates to other high-end photographers in Los Angeles. Frankly, I think their work is better too AND comes without any of the diva-attitude of bigger companies. Wedding photography is an investment, but probably the best money spent in the whole scheme of things. We love to look at our photos and relive the excitement of the day. I'm looking forward to using them again sooner than later (maternity shoot!!). -

Jen and Nate from B&G Photography are simply the best. Not only is their photography fantastic (just check out their blog, their work speaks for itself!) they also made the process incredibly easy from start to finish.
Booking and Price - I contacted B&G about a week after we set a date for our wedding, about 9 months in advance (we got married in 2009). Jen immediately got back to me, said that they were available and would love to shoot our destination wedding. I then sent her a list of what I wanted included, she customized an existing package and got back to me with options in a day or two. When I found that everything I wanted was a little over my budget, she worked with me to rearrange things and make sure that I could get what I wanted at a price I was comfortable with. I thought that this would going to be the most stressful part of the process but Jen made it so easy. We had them booked within the week.
Engagement Photo Shoot - My husband and I twiddled our thumbs a bit on this and had to rush to get our photos taken just two months before our wedding. I was worried that we wouldn't have our photos in time to use at the reception but Jen and Nate reassured us that they would do their best to turn it around in time and they did! We got to look at proofs just 2 weeks after shooting our photos.
Wedding Day - Jen and Nate were prompt (as usual) at our hotel room the morning of the wedding. They caught all the right moments and I don't feel like I missed a thing in the whirlwind craziness of that day. When we did our first look in the lobby of THEHotel (in Vegas), they did a great job using the modern architecture as accents in our photos. They pre-scouted the hotel and knew where to set-up us for the best light and photos. As for the actual ceremony, they had all the angles covered. Jen shot from the perimeter and Nate somehow got all of the close-ups without getting in any of Jen's shots. They are such pros! The photos from the reception also turned out great. The lighting was very dim but they managed to get wonderful photos of our families interacting, our best-people giving speeches and us laughing and enjoying ourselves. You'd think that they'd be pooped from all the running around but no, they were up for hitting the Strip after the reception to take more photos.
Day After Photo Shoot - Since we had a destination wedding, we thought it would be nice do get all dressed up and shoot some photos out in the desert (Red Rock Canyon) in a retro car. We had the top down in the convertible and had a blast shooting photos in front of the car, on top of the car and even while we driving car (driving slowly and definitely not on the road). When the sun started setting, they even whipped out their lights to make sure that we had enough light. We were stoked, that they lugged them all the way from Los Angeles for us.
Wedding Album - Jen did a fantastic job with this. She knew that I was looking for something specific and she hit the nail right on the head! The only revisions we had were swapping out photos (which we had chosen) and replacing them with ones we like better. The album itself is so nice (love the black leather!) and especially looked great with all of the details Jen suggested.
To sum up, Jen and Nate are outstanding. They're professional, knowledgeable and most of all, extremely talented. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and will I'll definitely be booking them for future events.
