I love my Saab and want it to last forever, which it can if taken care of properly.  When I left SF for the penninsula, I needed to establish a good mechanic for mine and just assumed that a dealership service would be way more expensive than a private mechanic.  This is absolutely not the case though.

I wish I had found B&B when I first moved down here, but I took it to a private mechanic (BoJohnsonn's) specializing in Saabs.  This guy seriously overcharged me for a basic evaluation of the car and when he gave me a quote to have my rear breaks done, I knew something wasn't right and decided to look elsewhere.

I decided to see how much it would cost to get the car serviced by a dealer, even though I usually prefer working 1 on 1 with a mechanic.  B&B's quote for my rear brakes was $200 less than I was quoted by the above mentioned mechanic.  They did a great job and I've been going back here ever since.

This dealership is another example of fantastic customer service.  The receptionist, Catherine is fantastic and able to tolerate my random questions without attitude.  I've also called the mechanic himself to ask questions and if he misses my call, he calls back!   They also make it very clear what they are going to do to the car and why and with pretty accurate pricing, so you never feel out of the loop or outraged by a statement with services you never requested.

This is a top notch dealership and I highly recomend it.  5 stars for sure!  Great customer service!

I am a huge Saab fan ( I have a 2004 9-3) , but after they stopped making parts for them, it started becoming more and more expensive to fix and difficult to find a service department that had the ability to get the parts. B & B Saab has done a good job of balancing demand with need. I worked with Daniel, and he was very patient and willing to work with me.

The service at B & B is more expensive than other locations, but the people there really do thier best to make you feel welcome and provide services that done well. There are shops you can take your Saab to that can fix issues, but many of those locations are unable to obtain the parts necessary to fix your Saab. At least with B&B, I know that I am not wasting my time because they have access to more Saab parts.

I hated my Saab because of B & B Saab. Now I love my Saab after finding legitimate humans for service - but not at B&B. B & B Saab seems to keep their Service Jerk around who prides himself on being an arrogant bastard. His demeaning attitude & unwillingness to help permeates the service department. And their part prices are TRIPLE what the major internet Saab sites offer.

I went to a general mechanic up the street (Auto Technica) that DOESN'T specialize in Saabs and the two guys there were great - they diagnosed & fixed my car faster & cheaper than B & B could.

Then I found Swedish Auto Factory  in Santa Clara for other issues & THEY are fantastic! And they specialize in Saabs. It is running great now with no thanks to B&B Saab which needs to clean house & step up to embrace the legitimate issues from the people who keep them fed.

I'll make sure to drive to a San Francisco Saab Dealership when I purchase my next Saab instead of driving 1 mile away to endure B & B's Customer Disloyalty Program . One star for these losers is too generous.

Honestly B & B Saab Service is not a quality Saab auto shop. Over the past 4 years they have cut their staff by over 90%, charge unreasonable prices, and have poor technical as well as customer service.

Wow, how refreshing! They know the meaning of good customer service.

We bought a used Saab over the weekend and brought it in today for parts and service. We were met outside by Marc who was very friendly and helpful. He welcomed us inside and made the whole family feel comfortable. He applied discounts to the quote based on the specials that they were running (no need for us to print the coupons!). WOW!! What a HUGE difference from the service that I am use to getting from other dealerships (uh hum... *cough* Mazda).  Thanks!

I have been a loyal customer at B & B Saab for the past 5 years, beginning with the purchase of my car. Since then, I have had all of my services and two body repairs done at their facility. This is why I feel compelled to write this review. During my last scheduled maintenance, I asked them to take a look at an intermittent problem with the high brake light that I had reported while the car was still under warranty (and at least twice after that), along with a problem with the CD player. When the car was returned to me neither issue had been resolved, even though they said the CD player was working fine (it was not). They told me if I continued to have the problem with the brake light (which I did), I'd have to have a part replaced.

At the same time, I also asked them if the right trunk hinge was supposed to have a cover. I had assumed that if it was missing, it may not have been replaced during a previous visit to the body shop.

When the parts were finally in (no one called me), I was informed that I'd have to have the work on the high brake light done there for Saab to cover the price of the part (but they most likely wouldn't cover the cost of the labor, $283, even though I had originally reported the problem while under warranty). In addition the "Service & Parts Director" practically accused me of lying about the missing trunk hinge cover and how it went missing. I could have broken it "putting groceries in the trunk" and Saab wouldn't know. Maybe B & B should assume that their customers who are willing to shell out $28K for a car aren't going to lie about some $10 piece of plastic!!! The website says that the dealership's goal is that all of their customers are "Completely Satisfied". This is by far the worst customer service experience I've had at ANY dealership / mechanic. AND HERE IS THE KICKER...I did some investigating on line and it turns out that Saabs don't even have a right trunk hinge cover!!! What the heck!?! This was my question to begin with. How could he not know that?

I hope that someone in a position to make changes in customer service at B & B will read this and can turn things around before it's too late...Congratulations B & B, you've not only lost my business, but the business of at least two more of my friends with Saabs!

I bought my convertable from these people, which I still have and love it. The only thing that upset me is dealing with the price. They kept coming back  and saying that their "splitting hairs" for me in try`ng give me the price that I quoted. It turns out that when I bought my car they KNEW that their was a 10k usd incentive on the cars that they failed to tell me. A week later I get mailer in the mail and come to find out I could have bought the top-o-the-line convertable for what I paid for mine. I have since bought a total of three SAABs from this company and still have them all. Iam much more savy when it comes to buying a SAAB,

I have to say though LISA, DAN, AND HAWK ARE THE BOMB!!!!!!!! They are in the service department here and recomended.5 STARS FOR THEM .....

I inherited my saab and I love it.  I did not buy it from these guys. The first time I went to them, they were wicked expensive but nice enough. The second time I went to them for a tune-up (which starts at a eyeball-melting $600, by the way), and they replaced my brake fluid. They then reattached the brake lines which, due to corrosion perhaps, did not seal.
So there I am, flying down the 880 towards home when I'm like, "Oh, damn! I have no brake pressure!" Happily, my car is a manual, so between engine braking and the little fluid I had left I managed to get off the freeway and into an empty parking lot where I called a tow-truck. B&B had closed, but the manager had checked his voice mail, and kept it open long enough to look at my brakes. He was very apologetic and I was cool, but wary of going back
A light came on last week though, and I thought I'd probably better have people who know Saabs look at it. So, I took it back.
Turns out it was a computer fault and tire noise. That will be a $145, thanks. I asked them to replace a cover for a brake light on the interior that had fallen off. Another $200.
And you would think that after nearly causing a wreck last time I was there, they'd be, I don't know, super nice and willing to help me out? The agent in charge of my car doesn't even talk to me about what he found when I get back to pay. I ask him if he checked the oil because I mentioned that I thought there was a leak and I might be out. He said "no". I'm like,
    "Well, COULD YOU?"
Thinking, I just paid you 145 bucks just to LOOK and my car and you don't even check to see if it's out of oil?"
He goes out and comes back in:
"You don't have enough oil to even register on the dipstick."
    Conclusive silence.
And I'm thinking "Uh....and are you going to do something about that?"
I ask him if he could replace it and he says he can do that. The guy comes up from service and places a few bottles of oil on the desk. The receptionist is like "That will be fifteen bucks. you want to pay with credit?" Meanwhile, my agent has disappeared for a bit, and I'm thinking...so do I just take the oil and go put it in? I mean, I can do that but it's going to be a bit embarrassing to be putting my own oil in in the parking lot of the shop.
Eventually, I got him to replace the oil, and I'm glad they didn't charge me any more for the two minutes of labour it took him to put it in.

In short, the guys at the Ryko across the street from my office can do the same work for about a tenth of the price. I was willing to give them a second chance after the brake thing, but in the end it was the attitude that lost me as a customer. I won't be going back to B&B.

I have had my Saab about three years now.  This was the first new car I ever bought, and was nervous about taking it to the dealer when I needed service (thought it would cost more).  They are very competitive with their prices.  I like that I have a rental car (one time) when they had to keep it over a weekend.

The car itself has been amazing.  No major issues, and the services was part of the deal for the first 40,000 miles.  Who wouldn't be happy with that?  :)

I bought a '93 Saab, and the driver's side seat belt wasn't catching. I went to B&B Saab, and they took care of the safety problem right away, strictly out of good faith. They were very friendly and courteous, and did a great job!

I live in Mountain View and work in San Bruno, ever since the Burlingame Saab was closed, it's a pain in the neck for me to drive down to Santa Clara in the morning to drop off my car and drive up to San Bruno to work, and drive down to Santa Clara after work to pick up my car (have to be there by 6pm as they don't do lock-out) and drive up to home in Mountain View.

It's a good gesture that they offer me a rental car every time I have problems with my car. But again, it's really annoying.

I brought my car to B&B for a simple recall servicing and couldn't have been happier.  If I have to drive out of San Francisco to get my car serviced by an official Saab service center, this will be my spot.  They did my repair in 30 minutes, as quoted and even threw in a free car wash and vacuum.  Another shop said it would take 3-4 hours and seemed very disorganized so I am very happy I came here instead.

I bought my car from the B&B dealership (which by the way, if you are thinking about buying a Saab...DONT) and have been going to the service center for a few years because of my warranty, but since my warranty expired I will never go back.  This place has really ripped me off and I've dumped probably 5K into my piece of crap car since my warranty expired.  Some of the recurring problems that I've had with the car I know have been caused by things that they did on their end when they were supposedly "fixing" some of my other issues.  Of course they would never admit that.  They also just recently held onto my car for two weeks for a minor repair issue and weren't working well with my insurance company to get my car turned around.  I had to follow-up wtih them everyday and couldn't get anyone to call me back, horrible communication and customer service.  It was really frustrating.  I'm done with this place and they won't be getting another dollar from me!  I would definitely recommend that 1) you don't purchase a Saab unless you have a lot of extra money lying around that you just want to throw away on fixing car issues 2) you don't take your car to this place because its a rip off and they truly don't care about their customers........sorry guys, it's pretty obvious that you don't!
