    They have been a great company to work with.  I am a general contractor and I can highly recommend their services.  Their estimator Mike is has always been very professional, meeting my schedules,  getting my estimates done on time and for the right price.  My reputation relies on hiring sub contractors I can trust and this company is a prime example of that.  I know if there was ever an issue or problem, that they would take care of it.  The owner, Brian is a pillar of the community, runs a top notch company and is a plesure to work with.  I can highly recommend their services.

    If I could give 10 stars, I would, that is how happy I am with the work.  Jim in the service department was polite, ordered the part ahead of time, and then called to schedule the appt. when the part came in.

    Randy was polite, and very professional.  Wonderful service tech.  He actually arrived BEFORE the scheduled appointment.

    If my furnace ever goes weird again, I will give these guys a call.

    A++++++ for professionalism.  Great Job Guys :)

    Such a disappointing experience. I really liked the Mike who came and gave an estimate on our project. I liked him better than all the other bids of other companies. When he finally mailed me the official estimate in the mail a week late, it was somebody else's estimate. And now I can't get him to return any of my several phone calls, so I have given up after several weeks.

    I wish you better luck!

    We're very happy with the work Morrison's crew did today, and with the whole process.   We had them fix our current A/C unit by replacing the whole filter set-up, and they also installed returns into 2 rooms of the house that did not have them and needed them.  They worked fast, the work looks good, and everything is working smoothly.  Wen exactly how they said it would.  They were in at 9:15 and done by 12:30, cleaned up and done.

    I don't have a lot to compare it to on price, so I can't say if they are super competitive, about right, or pricey, but we're happy with the work and we're going to use them again for another project next month I think..

    I'm a fan for sure! We had our new AC and furnace as well as an attic fan installed into our home. The work crew was friendly and hard at work from the minute they started to the minute they left. It took two days to complete the installation and we were very happy. Mike D. did a great job organizing everything and making our job go smooth. We didn't have to use the new system until a week later and ran into a small problem, but Mike and his team were right on top of it. They came out the same day and found that the fuse had not been changed to accomodate the newer furnace. The worker they sent was kind, courteous and quick about getting it done.

    There was one individual who was a little difficult to work with, but the two workers that actually did the work were fantastic and Mike D. really made us want to do business with his company. I would recomend this company to anyone who is looking for hardworking, local and reasonably priced heating and AC work done.

    Absolutely top-notch Air Conditioning Installation!

    Our house in San Jose was in desperate need of an upgrade.  The horrible wall heaters that were in the house when we moved in were non-operational and installed poorly.  Summers were dreadfully hot and, thanks to DIY double-paned windows the airflow in the house was sorely lacking.

    We got a bid from a local contractor who flaked on us so we consulted http://www.checkbook.org for a recommendation.  BA Morrison was highly rated so we contacted them and haven't regretted it at all.

    Their quote was reasonable and professionally done.  We had a lot of questions and Mike was patient and answered them all.  We had a couple other quotes done for comparison but ultimately went with BA Morrison because they seemed the most concerned with their customers.

    The work crews showed up on time and actually finished with time to spare.  This isn't to say that they rushed things or did shoddy work - completely the opposite.  The team - lead by Chris - was all business and didn't goof off at all.  I never saw anyone idle - they were amazing.  Chris made sure to stop periodically and show me what was going on so that I wouldn't be surprised by anything they did.

    On-time, on-budget, professional, and with an emphasis on customer service - what more could I ask for?

    I had used this company previously so when one of our air conditioning units was not working properly I called BA Morrison.  I had told Jim when I set up the appointment the issue I was having with the downstairs unit. Jim at that time told me I should have a maintenance done on the furnance and air conditioner units and at that time they would diagnose the problem.  

    The technician came out and discovered a blown blower motor and I was told that would effect how the air condioning unit would operate. Within the next 30 days we turned on the air condioner and again we had the same problem with the same unit.  I again called and spoke to Jim and the technician came out and at that time discovered the refrigerant  or R22 was 2 pounds low and that he was sorry he hadn't checked it the first time out.  He filled the refrigerant and again when we used it within the next 30 days the same unit was having the same issue it had when we started with BA Morrison.  I called again and spoke to Jim and he sent out a different technician. This time they discovered the refrigerant completely gone and now the compressor was not working,  The technician came out at 9:00 in the morning I called Jim the following day at 1:30.  You would think Jim knowing this was the third time they were out for the same problem he could have called me back the same day.Throughout this process I would have to call back for information.  I called him the following day at about 1:30 and he told me he was putting a price together for the compressor motor.  I was very frustrated at this time because he was telling  me each time they came out we were having different issues.  We have  the same issue as we did the first day I had called him.  I was very disappointed with him and the company. I will have another company do the repairs to the AC unit.

    I did have another company come out and fix the AC unit.  I spoke to the owner Mr. Morrison about my situationand he did step up and reinburse me all the money he had charged for the work they had done.  I think if the issue would have been addressed as a service problem and not a maintenance  visit at the beginning things might have turned out different.  We will try again hopefully not real soon.

    These guys have taken care of all of my HVAC needs for years as well as they also service many of my neighbors.  They have always been communicative in terms of scheduling, and have even accommodated me off hours and on the weekends.

    They will also be doing a new HVAC install in my new house within the next couple of weeks.

    If you are in the Castro Valley area...give these guys a call, you wont be disappointed...this is a family business with true pride in their work.  You wont get this from some of the big shops.

    Job well done!  These guys came out to my house and set to work right away.  My dad had been wanting to get our deck redone for the longest time when he'd heard about BA Morrison from a coworker.  They came out and did an excellent, extremely fast job on our deck which looks awesome and for a great deal.  Mike and crew did a wonderful job, we held a birthday celebration outside on the deck and my dad was proud to show it off.  Will definitely call back if needed

    i have used this company for years. there is not one better. i had my heater fixed, deck work, roof work- etc. from the estimate, pricing, quality & knowledge of employees, i would not let another business in my home!

    I'm not sure how to reply to an owner comment so I am writing a new review on B A. Morrison.  I can certainly appreciate the fact that contractors run late because of other appointments and the fact that the person who answered the phone was in training but that still does not change the fact that when I spoke with the owner, he never once mentioned the two hour window policy AND no one bothered to call to inform us that our morning appointment was going to be rescheduled.  I personally don't read minds and would have appreciated this information being conveyed to me.  When my husband called about the morning appointment and was then told the appointment was being rescheduled, there was yet another opportunity to let us know that there could be a possibility that the contractor might run late because they were backed up, but alas they failed once again.  I am not unreasonable but a little bit of courtesy would have been nice.  I am sure that B A Morrison does great work but unfortunately because of the first two encounters with their office, I will give my business to another equally qualified general contractor.
