It's ok. Somenight's there are good girls and some nights the girls are ugly. But when i drink it seems to get better.

My boyfriend and I came here with his sister and brother-in-law over Labor Day weekend for an early evening drink. We needed two forms of ID to get in the bar, and once we entered, we were immediately surprised with how rundown it looked. The bathroom was horrifying. It seriously looks like it should be condemned. No toilet paper, of course, but that was the least of my worries. We also noticed how dirty the bar top was, after wiping our area with some napkins. They were black. The drinks were fine and priced decently, but there are plenty of other bars around and I don't need to return here.

I've been to The Aztec countless times and when my sister, Lori, was visiting from Cali recently, we stopped in again after walking the Seaside boardwalk from end to end. The Aztec sits right on the Boardwalk on the northern end.
In the summer this place is packed and I mean hard to walk to the bar packed. But that's fun sometimes isn't it? I have sat outside for lunch on a crowded summer afternoon and that's pretty cool too, as one or two tables sort of jut out into the boardwalk so that a large part of the boardwalk crowd is coming straight at you. Great for "people watching"!
But on this beautiful October day the place was empty, and by that I mean Lori and I were the only patrons at the bar! But they were open for business, so we had a few drinks and spoke to the absolutely gorgeous barkeep, Jessica, who I introduced to my SISTER, right away. Jessica was glad to have some company and we chatted the entire time we were there.
The bar is attached to a rather seedy looking hotel that I don't believe I would ever be drunk enough to stay in. But the bar is a very cool spot to party. -

We came here on the last night of our vacation and completely fell in love. We wanted to go our entire week, but the sign asking for 2 forms of ID swayed us. We finally gave in and were so happy we did. The drinks are cheap, the pour is heavy, and the clientele is a total mixed bag. You've got young folks, older folks, and in between folks. Everyone was quite friendly and we ROCKED karaoke. Can't wait to go back!

They use 12 ounce pint glasses. The ones with the thick glass on the bottom that feel like its a pint glass, but it's not. Pour a 12 oz. beer into it and you'll see that you get more from a bottle than you would ordering a (16 oz.) pint and getting an inch of foam.
Oh, and it's a Jersey shore hangout on the Seaside Heights boardwalk.
Weekend nights fill the place with Jersey tough guys and bad dance music or bands that sound like Nickelback, while angry cops stand arms folded outside waiting for some obnoxious drunks to stumble to their cars before they start a fight. If that's your thing... -

If you like overpriced seafood that will make you throw up two hours later, by all means drop in and overpay for crapcakes and half an ear of corn. That's what I call summer fun, indeed.

I pretty much only go to the Aztec to see Rich Myers on Saturday nights. The Aztec brings in an interesting mix of people. When we walked in, the DJ was playing top 40 music and I saw bikers, mullets, preppy guys in boat shoes, woo girls, someone womene stuck in the 1980s, and more. I love the Jersey shore!
The bartenders do an amazing job of keeping up with drink orders. I've never felt ignored. Plus, for being righ on the boardwalk, drink prices are very reasonable. I've only gotten beer, so not sure how the liquor drinks are, but domestic pitchers were $8 on a Saturday night. No wonder so many people were drinking straight out of them. -
