This place is the best! We had everyone from our wedding stay here when we got married at St Denis Catholic Church. Everyone who stayed from out of town loved the place as well. The prices were in our budget and for our guests as well. Everyone loved the morning breakfasts... no complaints from family! The rooms are spacious, clean, and a great atmosphere to relax.
Natalia...or was it Natalie? Bottom line: She was brilliant when I had to cancel at the last minute for our anniversary. Turned out my wife booked a Ayres but we went out of town as a surprise for me! I hope this helps all of you planning your wedding.
Cheers!

For being right on a busy freeway, this place was QUIET. Probaby because the windows are seriously energy efficient. Only major drawback to the Ayres, the energy efficiency is carried to an extreme where you need one of the room cards in a slot to make the lights work.
The room was comfortable, clean. The breakfast buffet decent, definitely not as good on the weekend when the business travelers are not around. But I liked the comfort and quiet of the place enough that I wish they had these around the US. We like the Drury Inn chain, but Drury cannot rival this hotel in cleanliness and quiet; however, Drury is cheaper. It would be nice to have an Ayres option when traveling somewhere other than Southern California. -

3.5 stars but a decent price and friendly service get a 4.
Pros: Right off the freeway, clean rooms and free breakfast.
Cons: Rooms look like they were decorated by a grandma.
Overally: Clean and friendly place to stay that would benefit from a remodel.. -

Our baseball team stayed here this past weekend and the staff was super accommodating. They even opened breakfast early for us because our team had an early game this morning, otherwise, we would of missed it! Oh BTW, did I say the breakfast was free and HOT too!
Pool was a lot of fun afterwards for the boys to unwind and they were really good about keeping our rooms together so we could hand out afterwards. I would highly recommend for any teams that need to play at Big League Dreams in the future. Call Cassidi in their sales department and they will set you up with a very competitive rate! -

It's sort of like a Hampton Inn.
It's pretty clean and offer a complementary breakfast till 9am weekdays and till 10am weekend (which I wish would be pushed back an hour both times).
They also offer a Happy Hour with free beer, juice and cheap wine.
Staff is friendly and the place is decorated a little like someones grandparent's house.
Rooms are roomy and have a kitchenette with a mini refrigerator and microwave.
The tubs in the bathrooms are small but have a tall side.
Pools stay open till 10 PM and they have a couple small banquet rooms and a board room for people to rent out for gatherings and meetings. -

Interesting that Andy C. would think this is the most literal 3 stars when I was extremely surprised by this place (after having stayed at Ayres in Hawthorne) and expecting not as much out of it simply because it was in a weird location and not my favorite.
We arrived here way, way later than expected, almost 2:00 am in the morning and was pleasantly surprised to find that our hotel reservation was still intact unlike the other time in Palm Springs and was promptly checked in. Again PARKING IS FREE. I cannot place more emphasis on this point since I've been dumping money on parking having been in LA so many times in the past few years.
The elevators are sort of at an odd place but either way, they worked fine and we were soon passed out in our rooms. The rooms were nice and clean, beds were comfortable and showers were adequate. They serve complimentary hot breakfast cooked to order every morning including a huge variety of cereals, and coffees, fruits etc. They have eggs, bacon, sausage and pancakes in the morning. YUM.
The price was very very reasonable, the stay was pleasant and again, free parking!
This place was going through some renovations when I stayed there late last year so I hope all the weird construction trucks are gone now. -

Stayed here on business because I could walk to the conference I was attending. The employees were super accommodating; hence, the two stars. This hotel could stand an upgrade considering the price.
I had a room on the ground floor, and I was a surprised that I didn't have shades that fully covered the windows. Someone could just look in the room. But, it was late, and I had a conference in the morning, so it was lights out anyways, but that's a bit creepy. Not to mention inconvenient. What if I needed to sleep in? I wouldn't want the sun blazing through the windows. The hotel is close to the freeway, though, so you'd probably wake up from that first.
A positive note: free continental breakfast is offered...with flavored Coffeemate. That alone is almost worth an extra star. Haha. -

I stayed there may27-29.
The room was large and had a great setup.
They have a free breakfast. which you are given food coupons at the front desk. Note, kids need coupons too, so ask upfront for your kids too! Its not dennys, but ok. Beware of Angel, the cook. So rude and unwilling to explain the process of ordering. It was an inconvenience for him to explain anything to us. I was greeted with a look of displeasure as I greeted him with a smile and bid him good morning. I dont work there and do not know how things went.
Mon=Friday you fill out a form. It does not list meat items.
On Saturday, no forms, just whatever was pre-made is available. He wont make anything for you special even if there are no lines, but he will make himself a cheese quesadilla for himself in front of you!
Oh and the hours are set, so if you aririve at 10:01am on saturday, he will not serve you. Angel also cleans up before 10am, so hurry!
I would of given 4 stars, but after venting about Angel, I bumped my rate down to 3.
Everyone else was great though! Thanks Ayers, but If Angel were moved to the back, and not directly with guests, it would be better! -

I'm torn with this review. Damn you Yelp for not offering 1/2 stars!
YAY: The rooms on the first floor have bathtubs with jets.
NAY: It's only the tubs on the first floor and they charge a $15 fee if you request a specific location...even if the entire place is empty. Also, it's just a regular sized tub which is a bit disappointing.
YAY: The beds are incredible. Truly the most comfortable I've ever slept on. Ayres had them specially made for their hotels.
NAY: TV reception is AWFUL. There are very few channels and a lot of them don't even come in clearly. There's also no Pay-per-View.
YAY: There's an Italian place nearby that delivers and has amazing pizza. They'll give you menus for them and a Chinese place that delivers if you ask for them at the desk.
YAY: All rooms come with a microwave, mini fridge and high-speed internet hook up.
YAY: Friendly staff, really pretty lobby, and nice rooms.
NAY: I have to say it's pretty overpriced for what it is. If I'm paying $125 a night, I really want to ability to get room service and order movies!
I've stayed here a few times but I don't think I'll be returning. Get some decent cable, damn it! -
Review from Andy C.
Probably the most literal 3 stars "A-OK" review I'll ever write.
Location: 3 out of 5
It's pretty convenient that this is located right next to 60, 57, and a few other heavily traveled roads. Once you get off at Grand avenue, it's a quick right turn on Golden Springs. The bad part about this hotel is that it's not really located "close" to anything. Yes, there is a Target down the street, and lots of restaurants in the general area, but it is necessary to drive everywhere. Also, be mindful that Diamond Bar is basically a huge asian subdivision, so if you're wary or xenophobic, skip this town altogether.
Staff: 5 out of 5
Probably the shining moment of my stay. Everyone from the front desk staff to the housekeeping staff to the breakfast staff were helpful and friendly. I think I got to meet the infamous breakfast cook, and honestly - he wasn't that bad. Maybe he just gets aggravated because the breakfast ordering system is fairly simple, and people make it more difficult than it needs to be. Case in point: Angel says, "the order sheets are right there", while pointing to the exact location. The order sheet is self explanatory: choose one entree, one side, one type of toast, etc. Now, if you think about the way a kitchen is laid out, where should one put the order sheet? My guess is that one should put it on the rotating device where the cook can easily grab them. ding ding ding ding! That's the correct answer. The housekeeping staff was also top notch; one perfect example is the fact that on my daily note and tip to them, I mentioned, "can I have extra shampoo, please?" I really just needed one extra bottle, but when I got home that evening, I ended up with a total of 3 full bottles, plus whatever I had left in my original bottle.
Price: 2 out of 5
Even though I was traveling for official business, and will be reimbursed, it's a unreasonable that the general public would have to pay about 120 + taxes per night for these rooms. They advertise them as suites, but when I personally think about suites, I think "separate sleeping and working area", which Ayres had neither. Except for the decent breakfast, there was nothing that would warrant a 100+ price tag per night stay. This will be tied into the following....
Amenities: 3 out of 5
As others have alluded to - room service is not an option here, and Tv reception is subpar. The toiletries aren't 'boutique', and although there was a large leather comfortable sofa in my room, my room also had two 'sitting' chairs that were neither comfortable nor functional. I ended up putting my clothes on the chairs since they served no other purpose. The bed was large and comfortable, and no bed begs, hooray. There is free wifi, however - it's not even hosted by the hotel; it's a free wireless service sponsored by Google, and the speeds are lackluster; i.e., if you need a fast connection capable of streaming gotomeeting, webex, or adobe connect for work, you're out of luck. I think the speeds are about half of the cheapest DSL, and perfect for casual surfing or checking of e-mails. 3G service on my phone was significant faster than the wifi. There were some good points, however: to run the power, you have keep a room key in a little slot (like in European and Asian countries). I suppose that in a place like southern Cali, anything to save power is a good thing. The central AC unit is a remote-controlled wall mounted flat unit, which was also energy efficient even by today's standards. As mentioned earlier, breakfast was very good.
Cleanliness: 4 out of 5
Almost a perfect 5 out of 5 here, except for one thing. The snap in liner of my shower curtain had a line of black mold on it. Yes, I realize that even after washing these liners, the actual stain will still be present, but at 120 bucks a night, they could probably afford to change the liners once in awhile. Otherwise, the hotel was spotless. The central lobby was very clean and well decorated, the kitchen staff were quick to clear tables, and my room was meticulously cleaned every day.
Overall: 3 out of 5
Worth a stay if you don't mind shelling out a few extra bucks per night. I found this to be of some use, as the hotel seemed fairly empty when I was there (probably less than 50% capacity?). Quiet hotel = no kids running through the halls. And since my room overlooked the golf course, I didn't hear street or freeway noise. There are probably better options out there, but for its close proximity to the city hall building, this location was the one that worked the best for me.
Side note: They have a welcome reception Monday - Thurs from 5 - 7. It includes domestic beer and wine, and on the one day that I visited, some type of mac and cheese casserole. Not as replete as what you'd find at a Homewood Suites, but it's a nice thought, albeit underwhelming. -

Holy freeway noise!! This hotel is actually pretty nice with large, clean rooms and a decent breakfast. The problem is that the hotel is right on top of the 57 / 60 freeway, and I had a very hard time sleeping due to the noise from the traffic. I'm not a particularly light sleeper either. The hotel really needs to invest in better windows to insulate the freeway noise.

I stay here four times a year when traveling for work. Hot breakfast cooked to order, free wireless Internet and a fitness room are my three pre-requisites and all three are satisfactory. The staff is great too!
