I didn't stay here, but I did come here a few times because Apple had interviews here. Yes, I'm looking for a job and apparently so did about 25 other applicants. We were in one of the large meeting rooms with AV setup.
Speaking of setup, yes we had to go up and down the stairs quite a bit before we reached our destination so I can relate to the people who stayed here and commented on the layout. I gave this place 5 stars because I had lost a USB drive during my meeting/interview with Apple. When I realized, I called and picked it up the following day with no problems. Their lost and found pile is rather large so it was like a needle in a haystack. However, the people at the front desk and the staff in the meeting room were all very professional and courteous.
This place can be hard to find on the GPS, but ironically I found it on Google Maps with no problems. Give it up to the competitor that can find the place you're interviewing for.

Guess I'll have to fully stay here to see if I can update this review.

This hotel is quirky.  But nice.  Some thoughts:

+Definitely doesn' t have that "corporate" feel.
+Lots of interesting pictures in the lobby, and personal items, make you feel more like you're in someone's home.
    +Spacious rooms
    +Complimentary full breakfast
+Fresh baked cookies at check in

    - Confusing layout spread out over two buildings.
    - Breakfast ends at 10am.  So much for sleeping in (and sleep won - didn't get to try the breakfast)
    - No mini bar in the room or much of a kitchen (although there is a small fridge).
    -  Awfully close to the noise of the freeway or road nearby
    -  Made the keycard for the wrong room and wrote down the wrong room, and it ended being someone elses's room.  Oops.

This hotel has a strange setup as it is in three different buildings.  We checked in the early evening without trying our room keys and when we came back much later, the keys did not work.  After calling the front desk to inquire about the keys not working, I was informed that the front desk person had written down the wrong number on our card holder.  Then we tried the correct room and guess what?  The keys still didn't work.  So we had to go back to the front desk to get new cards made.

Once in the room, it was large, high ceilings and well appointed.  Problem was that it was decorated like my grandma would have liked.  Fuzzy wallpaper, ornate heavy wood furniture, and enough draperies to look gaudy.

Please also note that the road traffic from Bristol and the 73 are enough to keep you up at night.  So request a room towards the back of the property.

Before I get any further, the hotel is beautiful. From the second you enter the lobby all the way until you get into your bed, it's filled with cleanness. I must give it a 4 out of 5.

Now, rating the staff out of 5, I'm nice enough to give them a 1.  There were two workers named Page and Elin (something like that) at the front desk that carried an attitude that I never would want to encounter again. They were rude, selfish, and inconsiderate. Not only were they rude to me, but rude to others customers that were ahead of me as well. I actually went down to read other reviews and it looks like the main issue of this hotel is staff. Ayres, fix your staff issue before it leads away customers! I was so bothered that I actually wanted to give the whole hotel a 1 out of 5, but I did not want the selfishness of their employee's to affect their business.

I would stay here again, but not for a while. Service is priority in any form of business, and their staff failed to provide it. I'll come back when they have new employees, mainly those working at check-in/check-out.

I love this place. The check in offer of 15% off on yelp is pretty damn good. The breakfast is decent and the rooms are really clean every time I've been here. The parking lot does fill up fairly fast on the weekends and it usually means you end up parking in the way back. The lot isn't that big so it can be a pain to park a bigger truck. There are quite a few decent restaurants around the hotel within walking distance which was really nice. I will agree though that I was confused at first with the layout since they tell you to walk through the courtyard to get to your room if it's on the first floor. That was strange but I managed fine. Still love this hotel though!

It was about $190 each for me and my room mate to stay here for two nights, have complimentary buffet breakfast both mornings and a sit down dinner poolside one night. And that was part of a retreat where we had to pay for the keynote speaker!!

I'd say it was a darned great deal!

ROOMS: Spacious, clean and has no cigarette smell. I got a 2nd floor room overlooking the courtyard. Has a small (very) bar/beverage area. No liqquor but has a fridge a sink, coffee maker and mugs.

Free Wi-Fi if you can figure out how to connect.

RESTROOM: Blow dryer plenty of towels. LARGE mirror.

BED: The mattress was firm, the pillows were medium soft and the sheets were crisp, clean and odor free.

FRONT DESK: Efficient and courteous. Free freshly baked cookies!!!

FRONT LOBBY: Two seating areas. Computer with internet access. Yey!

COURTYARD: I felt so girly walking around in the super pretty courtyard with a central fountain, cobblestone floor (OK IT's fake but it's all good!), white iron patio furniture, small round marble top tables, pots of greens and cherub statues!

Also serves as the outdoor seating area of the restaurant.

POOL: Too cool to swim for me so this portion is for the looks only. Poolside ground has not been "face-lifted" yet but they have cabanas with the back wall covered in greens (great job, might be fake I didn't touch it) and outdoor drapery for "privacy."

BREAKFAST BUFFET: Not just cold food but hot food too. Tea selection is limited to regular and decaf Lipton ice tea. Same foods served both days. No complaints. I didn't stay longer than 2 days...

POOLSIDE DINNER: As if we were at a wedding reception! Cool. Due to budgetary reasons, I'm sure, we were all served the same thing, ham-stuffed chicken with cheese cream sauce, mashed potatos, and steamed broccoli. It was good. It wasn't great but it wasn't bad either. Most of us are looking forward to the company more than anything else anyway. Came with salad, bread, butter, slice of cake for dessert, coffee and tea.

We love this property.  This is our second stay.  We booked for 139 per night  for 2 rooms.   We were suppose to have one room with 2 double beds, but for some reason it did not come through on the reservation.  It was ok though as the couch folded out into a very nice sleeper.  The desk clerk tried to find us another room but none to be had on Thanksgiving - truly understandable.

The pluses - comp cocktail and comp full breakfast - fresh, hot a great variety.  Please bring a tip for the pleasant and attentive wait staff.  This is a beautiful property.  Everyone is friendly and cheerful. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and the parking is free!  Mini fridges and coffee makers in every room.  Upon check in we were welcomed back and given a discount certificate for our next stay.  They have a shuttle to the John Wayne airport.  You know it is a great property when the pilots and flight crews are staying there!

Minus - hard to find one - possibly the slow elevator.

All in all a great value!

Ayers Hotel and Suites is a wonderful hotel. The minute I walked in I was greeted by a very friendly front desk staff and had a prompt airport pickup from the complimentary shuttle. Check-in was seamless and to my surprise I got moved to a mini-suite. Before I walked to my room I helped myself to the delicious melon infused water they had at the front desk- this was definitely refreshing after a long flight across the country.

The decor is beautiful- old European style. Everything is clean and comfortable. Warm fireplaces are lit every night that make you feel right at home and create a very relaxing environment. Couches are big and comfortable. Orchids are found throughout the two buildings.

Every morning I had a delicious complimentary hot breakfast. Pancakes, french toast, eggs, bacon, oatmeal are all served daily. I was so surprised by the quality of food for a complimentary breakfast. Waiters/Waitress refill your coffee/tea/juice while you enjoy your breakfast.

The hotel has an amazing complementary shuttle that will take you anywhere within 5 miles. We used this service to take us to the mall, dinners and even the beach. The drivers of the shuttles arrive exactly on time when you book them. This was an extremely useful and nice service.

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone. It is clean, comfortable, welcoming, convenient to a lot of Orange Country attractions, enjoyable and the staff is just lovely. They've done a wonderful job at maintaining a high level of customer service. I came here on business- thank goodness my company booked my 3 nights here. I will definitely stay here again when I'm in the area. I wish all hotels were like this!

Visiting the Orange County area for a family event on a recent holiday weekend, Ayres Hotel & Suites was recommended as being very centrally located to all the various venues for the festivities (and to the airport).

Ayres can be a little tricky to get to, as Bristol only runs one way going by, but it's easy enough to master the turn-around once you've done it once (or 5 times).  The hotel is made up of 2 buildings - the main "hotel" building, with Le Chateau restaurant, a pool and jacuzzi, the front desk, and a nice courtyard.  The other building is the "suites" building, and has its own pool (no jacuzzI), the fitness center, and the breakfast room.

We had 2 rooms - both with 2 double beds.  The rooms were quite spacious - I never felt that I was cramped or trapped in a confined space.  The beds were very comfy, and the black-out curtains on the windows were absolutely necessary.  The bathrooms were large, but there was a form of a "stall" shower, but instead of the shower head being fixed to the wall, it was on a movable track that never got high enough (you know, like showers in many a European hotel). This shower situation was the biggest detraction from the place.

Included in the price of the room is a free hot breakfast every morning (and a couple drink tickets, if you happen to be there Monday through Thursday for their "reception").  The breakfast had its staples - scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and some days included French toast, some days pancakes, some days potatoes.  Overall, it's pretty good, and a nice way to start the day.

The front desk offers "fresh baked cookies" to those guests who remember to stop by to grab them.  I remembered on only 1 occasion, but that was a damn good chocolate chip cookie.  Unfortunately, there is no coffee offered outside of the breakfast hours (a huge bummer when you just need an afternoon caffeine kick and the 'Bucks is not walkable).

A great value for your money. It might seem far from where everything else is, but it isn't. We stayed for one night, had our bachelorette festivities in joint suites and it was wonderful. One of our girls even called to see if the maintenance could bring us a wrench to fix a helium tank. They came right away! Even after we told him we no longer needed it, he was very gracious. At the front desk, Elizabeth was personable and professional at the same time. She accommodated 13 girls in taxi vans and she didn't judge me when I came downstairs slightly buzzed hahaha. Thank you Elizabeth, you are a good woman.

The rooms were spacious, the restrooms served their purpose, the fridge and the sofas were awesome. All and all, I hope I come soon. Thank you Ayres hotel! PS. It's nice to know you are a family run business. Keep up the good work.

Came here for a business trip and stayed two nights.  The hotel staff are friendly, the rooms are kept well decorated and clean.

Easy access to restaurants and easy to get around with the shuttle they provide.  Although they serve breakfast every morning, I never woke up early enough to try it.

Will stay here again when I'm in OC for a business trip.

This is the second time staying at an Ayres property and Costa Mesa was excellent.

Nicely appointed room with oh so comfortable beds.  Large enough bathroom with upgrade amenities.  Excellent breakfast with hot dishes (eggs, bacon, sausage).  Friendly, courteous staff.  Cookies in the lobby at night.  Great pool area with hot tub.  Decent business center.  Plenty of parking.  Pretty good location.

If I have any complaint it would be the lack of HD cable reception.  The flat screen picture looked like my old TV reception.  Kind of blurry.

We were there for the Surf City Marathon in Huntington Beach so a little removed from our final destination but easy to get to on race day at 7 am.

I highly recommend any of their properties as they are really well worth the price of admission.

I was about to give this hotel 5 stars - I mean free parking, free AWESOME breakfast, free wifi and a very clean spacious rooms. It's perfect!

HOWEVER, at 7am I was scared out of my mind and sleep - by the airplanes taking off... its a little too close to John Wayne Airport. But for the price this can't be beat in the area.

They also have a guest reception 5-7pm and you get one free cocktail.

The hotel is great for a brief stay. I was here on a retreat and everything in the hotel was great with the exception of the front desk. Upon check in, the girl at the front desk just gave us our room key with no information or direction of any sort. I do my fair share of traveling and have never had that happen. I had to ask for directions on how to get to my room. Since I was there to meet a group, I also needed information on meeting rooms and the location of the restaurant. This chick gave me zero. When I realized she wasn't helpful what so ever I had to start asking questions. She answered my questions but seemed a bit bothered:(

Other than that the room was very clean, the restaurant was good. Complimentary breakfast was filling and the options were good. The fitness room is located in the building next to the main hotel but that's fine. It was quite small but I made it work! I might consider staying here again but not expect much from the front desk service.

Stop #7. Back at home, leaving again.

I got home this same day from San Diego, and I went to dinner at Darya and had a bit too much to drink, so after gorging myself on lamb and filet and rice and wine, I ended up driving down the street and staying at the Ayres.

Feels like Disneyland a bit. Strange cottage/castle style doors. Interesting room motifs. I felt like I was in Disneyland.

Needless to say, I mostly just slept. I still had my luggage from the past two months on being on vacation, so I wasn't worried about not having something. I got there, washed up, and fell asleep. Not much of a stay, but I've stayed at other Ayres locations and I'd say this is pretty much on par, except that it's a bit small and in a less than desireable location. It's still a nice hotel though. Good for what you pay. Very reasonably priced.

The beds are consistently firm with nice bedding and warm blankets. Leather sofa, coffee table, sitting area, night stands, marble sink separate from the shower, separate sink in room with counter space, coffee maker, and fridge. All Ayres supply refrigerators. Most also supply microwaves.

All Ayres locations offer complimentary evening refreshments and breakfast buffet every day to all guests.

It was a pleasant night's rest, then off I was again. Half alseep and dehydrated, I actually head for home, only to pack up again.

    I don't need free cookies.
    I don't need down comforters.
I don't need two swimming pools or a free breakfast buffet.

You know what I do need? Free internet connection.  Screw $8.86 per day.  That is lame.

And I need you to program my room key properly, especially when you put me in one of the adjacent buildings, so I don't have to walk back and forth with all of my bags.

And I need you to stop trying to put me in a room behind the elevator shaft every time I stay with you.  Don't even THINK of offering me a room that ends in 83 again.  I am ON to you, Ayres.

Like other reviewers, my friends and I were drawn to the Ayres from the price and free breakfast and shuttle service. We stayed there for a wine auction. The decor is great and the staff is really nice. However, if you're not directly dealing with the staff, the service sucks.

For example, we ordered room service and like other hotels, after you are done, you just leave it outside the door and someone will pick it up right? That didn't happen at the Ayres. In fact, even if we saw staff walk by our room a bunch of times, no one thought to pick up the food. When we checked out the next morning, it was still there. In addition, the keys kept deactivating. We only stayed at the hotel overnight and had to reactivate our keys twice.

Furthermore, a staff member knocked on our door and as I went to go open it, she just let herself in. As Stephanie Tanner would say, HOW RUDE! She did apologize and said she was "just checking", but I thought it was very unprofessional.

The food at the hotel is terrible, too. I ordered an angus burger for room service and it was sooooooooooooo salty. The breakfast was meek, too, but I can't really complain about that because it was free.

Overall, I think I'll shell out a little extra to stay somewhere nicer.

Am astonished at some of the other poor reviews, am so sorry for their bad experiences and hoping they have better luck next time...but...that is not the Ayres I know.

Ayres has consistently gone out of their way to be both accomodating and friendly to all the business travelers I book for our company, as well as my own personal travel.

Always exceptionally clean rooms, everything has functioned as it should, little to no noise even close to the airport, lovely setting, good breakfasts (GREAT coffee and I am a nut about that).  And, our recent stay at the Costa Mesa location introduced us to one of Orange Countys best kept restaurant secrets - Le Chateau!  GREAT food at reasonable prices!

Next we're going to try the Matisse in the LAX Ayres.

We stayed here as it was very close to our convention and was quite reasonable at less than $100 a night. If you like old-world European decor, this place is for you- full of ship models, gilded things, and tapestries.

I appreciated that the room was impeccably clean and didn't smell. You know how sometimes your non-smoking room smells like a chain smoker had been the last inhabitant? Or it smells like Lysol overkill? Gloriously, it smelled like neither. The beds were very comfortable (we were disappointed that they put us in a double queen room when we had reserved a king) and the down pillows were plentiful.

The courtyard near the restaurant was cute. They serve a breakfast buffet in the restaurant until 10 am on weekends. Just go to the hostess podium, and they'll have a list of registered guests there. They have cereal, really good hot oatmeal, waffles, scrambled eggs, ham, potatoes with bell peppers, toast, juices, milk, coffee, muffins, and mixed fruit. The service for breakfast was quite good, and they kept things clean and well-stocked. We would definitely stay here again.

The reasonable prices drew me here.
First glance our room was nice, spacious, comfy bed, clean with a nice leather sofa.

THEN it happened.  I felt like I was on a Travelocity commercial.  There was construction going on just a few rooms away.  I could not seriously believe we were in THE construction zone.

We decided to just ignore it because the construction couldn't honestly keep going on all night.  We didn't even get that far....so we decided to just start getting ready for our friend's wedding reception.  I turned the faucet on and the entire faucet rocket launched in the air because it lost it's seal. Water was flying everywhere.  It was looked like a fire hydrant had just exploded.  After lots of screaming I finally reached the tap and turned the water off.

Needless to say I looked like a drowned rat and we needed another room.  We scurried to the front desk and got "upgraded" to another room in the non construction wing of the building.  Turns out we got the same room that El H. wrote about.  That damn elevator shaft was getting lots of action that night.  We slept poorly only because of the elevator shaft which is unfortunate because the bed was comfortable.

We got up in the morning, skipped the free breakfast and checked out early.   Had to hurry back to San Diego to our own quiet home.  Lights out!  Sleepy time!

Spent New Year's weekend here for a local getaway. Picked this hotel since it was relatively inexpensive and within the local area I wanted. This hotel is located just off of John Wayne Airport's take off flight path. Also there is no shops or activities of note in the immediate vicinity. You have to drive a short to medium distance to hit good restaurants and shopping.

The hotel in general was fine. The public spaces were nicely decorated with a European style courtyard. Since it was December, I skipped the pool and jacuzzi. The staff were very helpful and pleasant.

I stayed in a junior suite in the second building. This building is not attached to the main hotel but is just across the parking lot. The room itself did not seem special at all. There was a small kitchenette with a comfortable couch. The bed was soft, maybe a little too soft for me. But that is just preference. The TV was small and had not been upgraded in quite a while.

The room was rather dark with two small windows with several layers of drapes that kept the light out.

The bathroom was basic with a jet tube. The jet tube worked well but was a little loud. The shower head was broken and it seemed like the shower was peeing on you until I fixed it and got some water pressure.

The complimentary breakfast was in there restaurant. The food was OK, nothing special, just solid breakfast food. There was a  limited selection, though. It was basically: eggs, protein (either bacon or ham), fried potatoes, pancake or waffle, cereal, and muffin or scone. You also had your choice of several juices or coffee.

Overall, I was underwhelmed by this hotel but for the price it was good. If you are a business traveler for Orange County, this would be a possibility if on a budget.

    (+):
    Complimentary breakfast
    Helpful staff
    Close to airport

    (-):
    Underwhelming room
    Old TV
    Not close to entertainment

    (+/-):
    Bed too soft
    Room was DARK

We hosted our 2008 Women's Retreat at this Ayres location and it was awesome.
Sheri and Dawn are so helpful and their team of catering and special events staff are very accommodating and helpful.

I highly recommend them for retreats and other events. The facilities are very clean and nice and it's in a good location. Our church is in Torrance, so Costa Mesa was just the right amount of distance away from our usual habitat.

They also have great retreat packages that really help the budget for the event. It really made things affordable for our ladies.

I have mixed feelings about this place and I wish I could say I was pleasantly surprised, but I wasn't.  There are things about this hotel that work and things that don't.

    What worked:
Location:  Close to OC Airport and freeways with noise-free rooms.  I didn't hear a thing as I slept.
Comfortable beds;  The beds are nice and comfortable.
Free Internet Service:  This was easy to access and I like the "free" part.
Coffee-maker in the room:  A necessity for me.
Free Breakfast and Evening drink tickets:  The breakfast was plentiful and well-prepared.  I normally eat only oatmeal and/or egg whites and toast.  But, the oatmeal was there, along with regular scrambled eggs, pancakes, French toast, and bacon, as well as fresh fruit, pastries, bread, and juice.  No matter how you eat your breakfast, you should be able to find something that satisfies or at least fills your stomach.

    What didn't work:

They left us three tissues in a box:  Hello!  Don't they check these things before leaving a cleaned room?  We had to call the front desk and have a box delivered.

Second call to front desk:  Their "atomic clock" was off by one hour and we didn't want it going off in the middle of the night.  We weren't planning on using the thing (we use our phones), so someone came by to pick up the defective clock.

Running toilet:  My husband had to jiggle the inner workings of the toilet several times and just before I checked out, it was running and I wasn't about to do it again.  I do hope the room service staff arrived shortly thereafter to clean the room and attend to it.

Slow-draining tub:  This was the worst part.  I take showers and while I was in there, with the drain open, the tub slowly filled with water and this added to the yuck-factor.  I kept thinking about the previous people who may have used the space, and I couldn't wait to clean my ankles and feet when I got to our place in Palm Desert (we were there due to a remodel).

I'd probably stay there again for the simple fact that two weeks ago, in a different room (don't stay in Room 116), we only had the tissue problem (hey, we really don't go through a lot of tissues; they just leave you a box that is nearly empty with no reserve).  Again, the location is great and the rooms are sound-proof.  Hope this helps some of you.

I have stayed at this Ayres Hotel location three times now and would recommend it to anyone.  Rooms are consistently clean and spacious, with nice towels, couches, and work space (table and desk chair).  The wireless internet is dependable and fresh cookies are served at the check-in desk every day at 5.  Best of all - the Ayres is totally affordable!  A surprising value really.

Sure, some of the decorations in the hotel make you wonder if what you are seeing is nice or just a bit gaudy.  They're probably both, but who cares?  The Ayres also has a great courtyard with a fountain.  Just don't try to drink outside beverages there or you'll risk getting a scolding from the folks working at the bar.  All in all though, the staff at the hotel is very friendly and accommodating.

Did I mention the free breakfast?  Eggs, potatoes, french toast, oatmeal, fruit, muffins.  Be sure to include that in your calculations when you are deciding whether to stay here or at the junky motel with its "continental breakfast" for 10 or 15 dollars less per night.

If there is one thing I could change at the Ayres though it would definitely be the pillows, which have waaay too much give.  Not nearly firm enough.  It is also true that you can hear planes overhead pretty clearly, but it takes a much lighter sleeper than I to be awakened by them.

We stayed here as it was the host hotel for the nearby Scrapbook Expo at the OC Fair/Events Center. While we didnt go to the Scrapbook Expo, I had business with another vendor, so decided to take advantage of the rate (and actually just booked off their site instead).

we arrived right at check in time, checked in to our room dropped our luggage and went about our business. As we came back to shower/change for dinner, there was a bit of a ruckus in the lobby (we were on the 2nd floor just off the lobby mezzanine), when some guests were given a one bed room rather than the 2 beds they requested (isnt this usually NOT guaranteed). It was enough of a ruckus that the police were called (5 cars later), so once we got passed the shouting, it was a quiet evening.

Parking kind of sucked, we had to park in front of a dumpster, as there wasnt a spot to be had in either the inn or the suites building. Knocked off a star for this.

We passed on the complimentary buffet as we chose to go for a run on the beach and get coffee and by the time we got back breakfast was over.

The bed was pretty comfy. The wireless internet (you have to find it thru your card, they note it as wireless on the website, but the guest services book notes it as 'dsl' thru the dataport) wasnt bad, and was free. The couch a nice touch.

I love the boutique hotels, and will definitely stay at an Ayres again!

I came here because the said room in the picture on the website had a separate hot tub in the room.  However upon arrival the stinkin tub was shared with the shower and was on the fairly small side!

Said company (never mind what we wanted the hot tub for) and I were still able to have fun, but probably will return to the Chase Suites next time as their hot tubs are twice as large in size, too bad it was Friendship Games weekend or we would have just gone there instead.

Also, on a side note, if you looking for other people with brown skin they don't exist unless they're working in the hotel, go figure, Costa Mesa is super white!

This is a really good hotel, 4 or 5 stars for the money if you don't   bring a car. Parking is limited and they tried to fix it by painting new smaller spots.

We were in town for a 64th wedding celebration. It was close to the festivities in Anaheim and even closer to the fun stuff in Newport and Huntington. The kids loved the pool. It was protected from the off shore wind that was blown and the adults loved the jacuzzi!

The rooms were big and very comfortable. The staff very friendly.  We'll be back here every time we come back to Socal!!  Thanks to the great staff for making it such a fun holiday!

great value. nice rooms, looked to be recently remodeled, clean linens, decent ammenities, especially for the price and location. We went to Balboa Island / Newport and it was a short easy drive. Easy to find no matter where you go as it is right off the freeway.

college student dream for 2 reasons

    1) cheap
2)lots of free stuff - internet, cookies, 2 booze tickets, and a HOT breakfast the next day

Even though it was close to John Wayne, my rest was not disturbed by the airplanes.

Who cares about the decor? I spent 70 bucks (tax inclusive) on New Years Eve AND they fed me and gave me  internet to access Yelp. Couldn't have asked for more.

HORRIBLE. To all my YOUNG professionals. These ppl discriminate. I am 27 years old and staying here on vacation for a Graduation ceremony. Upon checking in, the front desk rep (retirement aged) gives us a dirty look and calls her supervisor. The shift supervisor then comes and explains to us how "parties" are unacceptable. All this BEFORE checking in! As if we are some high school students looking for an after prom party........ anyway at the end of the night we finally come to our room and literally 4 minutes of entering the room  LAWRENCE comes in accusing us of disrupting privacy with noise?!?! We walked in and settled down and this guy accuses us of noise pollution. I confront him and he claims he may have got the wrong room. When we asked for toothpaste they said "no buddy" and hung up. When we went down there to talk to the supervisor (PHIL) he pretty much ignored us and when we left he told "Lawrence" that "they're just Asian". RACIST

I stayed here on a business trip. The hotel was cute in a Country French sort of way. The employees were ALL very friendly, which is rare these days. The room was nice, however, it was very dark. The bed, not too soft, not too firm. There was a refrigerator and coffee maker in my room along with a leather sofa. I even had a little chair inside my shower, which I didn't use. The complimentary breakfast was good, however the coffee was bland. There was a group of seniors staying the same time I was there (they're so active in the morning). It seems like their kind of place. I think I would stay here again and I'm not even a senior.

The rating for this hotel was tough.

    UPS:
    - This hotel is beautifully designed and the gym, although small, got the job done.
    - The beds were the most comfortable I have ever slept in (down comforter, soft pillow, etc).
    - They offer breakfast included in the price.

    DOWNS:
    - I stayed here because I was attending a friends wedding.  The group I was traveling with was coming from NorCal.  We booked a 2 room suite for the whole bunch so we could have privacy.  At a little before 10pm my friend called the hotel to notify them we were on our way and would be arriving late.  The hotel staff said they would note our late arrival in their computer.  At 12:45am we strolled into the lobby to check in (by this time ALL we wanted to do was SLEEP).  We were then told that they GAVE AWAY our room!  The gentleman at the front desk had no excuse for doing so and said he was "only the night clerk" and we would have to take it up with management in the morning.  So, this night we slept all together in one room (2 queen beds).
The following morning we walked down for breakfast and got ANOTHER hassle.  The line cook asked for our room number and when we told him he said he only had 2 people listed in that room (vs. the 3 we had checked in with).  He called the manager over and instead of instantly fixing the matter he harassed us with a unhelpful attitude for a few minutes.  Even with explaining our situation hours before he didn't offer us any resolution.  FINALLY after 5 minutes of going back and forth his attitude changed and he said he'd take care of the matter.
Following breakfast we went to speak to the manager to see what they could do to fix the room situation.  After telling our story to 3 different managers they moved us to an "upgraded" executive suite and gave it to us for the Friday night rate.  They told us that the room was available but not clean so they would "put a rush on it" and deliver the keys to our room to make the switch.  After 1 hour of waiting we called the front desk and they said they would call us back with an update.. but didn't.  After 2 hours of waiting we rolled out luggage to the lobby and told them we were tired of waiting for the new keys and would be happy to take the room as is.

Overall I would stay this hotel is a nice places to stay and sleep but the staff is certainly not on the ball about things.  If you're simply seeking a place to rest your head then this is a great hotel but if you're seeking a stress free stay -- keep looking!

Where do I begin.  Huge suites, sound proof walls, ample parking for the rental rocket Hertz was dumb enough to let me off the lot with, nearby golf course and driving range (it's a horrible pun, but drunk driving is actually pretty fun).  Plus, this is the closest place with any stars worth noticing to Fury (which is an amazing night club).  Three blocks away and no cops in sight.

very close to a wedding we had in newport.  a far cry from the $650/nt the resort was asking, and we dropped $60/nt instead.

it is what it is, has free breakfast, has clean rooms that are semi suites, and as expected its kind of gaudy . . . but hey, its cheap, clean, and serves its purpose.  i'd stay here again, the staff is friendly.

Let me start by warning you that this hotel can be very loud depending on the location of your room. Unfortunately, I stayed in one of these rooms. Its clear to me this hotel is not set up for large weddings or events since they have the event right outside by the guests rooms however it does not seem to stop them, which is unacceptable to me....they have these events in the courtyard in the main building by the pool so not only did i not get to use the pool or spa in my building the noise during the night was extremely disruptive and kept everyone in our room from sleeping. The first night (Fri) I called down to complain and see what time the party would end I was told 10:30.....that time came and went it finally wrapped up around 11:30 BUT then the cleaning crew was just as loud! So the noise went on until about 12:30. The next day we went to the front desk to complain and see if there was another wedding for Sat night and we were told the only event was a ceremony only lasting until about 6pm. Well, it turned out we were given wrong info.....in the same pool courtyard by our room they were setting up for another party so we asked some other staff and turns out it was a bar mitzvah....did not know i had to be specific on which kind of event they were having...i assumed the  front desk staff knew we were concerned of the noise. We asked to be switch to another room which we were told we would be but then they were unable to accomodate. SO that night we had the same exact experience.....what strikes me as odd as well is the hotel has no security so guests of these parties can roam the halls going up and down stairs being even more disruptive so this night there were tons of 13 year olds roaming the halls. Again, I called down to complain and explain that as the guest we were being proactive since the staff was not forth coming. I expected some sort of compensation since I paid to stay in a hotel so i could sleep and that could not happen. After 20 mins of conversation the supervisor on duty finally offered a discount. I guess this was better than nothing but had i been warned upon check in I would have second guessed my stay. I was extremely disappointed in the staff and the whole experience. My guess is the front desk should have the sales dept work the front desk on these weekend nights so they can see how root canal it is getting these complaints.....I was told by supervisor that night that this is an ongoing problem they are having. If you have to stay here expect noise and request to be in any room other than by the pool courtyard. Expect the worse so you won't be disappointed.

Staying here was one of the most heartbreaking experiences I have ever had. My sister booked about 15 rooms for all the out of town guests for her wedding here including our immediate family so she could stay with us the night before the wedding... we were so excited and the hotel was beautiful, we all agreed she could not have chosen a better spot. Well the night before her wedding all of our previous impressions turned sour. It turns out they have huge parties EVERY weekend in the indoor courtyard which every room surrounds and they neglected to tell my sister this when she arranged the rooms. This particular night it was a motocross party with a huge sound system and speeches then they turned on blasting music with booming amps till around 11:30 when finally after all the calls from our elderly guests, parents of young children and my crying sister they had the music to be turned down not that this stopped the drunk partiers staying at the hotel. I am one of the most patient and calm people you will meet and my experience requesting help at the front desk to move rooms or find any sort of solution for my sister to be able to sleep the night before her wedding led me to crying out of frustration and almost yelling at the woman who showed not 1 ounce of interest in helping me or even feeling sorry for our situation. When my sister initially went down calmly to ask what the party agenda was and how they could re arrange some of the rooms of her guests they had the nerve of just turning their nose with attitude and basically saying deal with it, no room change option, no ear plugs offered, not even an apology out of sympathy or for neglecting to tell her about the party when booking so many rooms. I had to watch my amazing sister cry herself to sleep in my lap because she felt sorry for her guests and she herself could not sleep the night before her wedding.. she should have been the happiest girl in the world that night! I can not even express how rude we were treated when asking for any form of assistance; it's really a shame because this is a beautiful hotel with great potential for a wonderful stay.
