Ayala's is fantastic. I ordered a gordita de rajas, two tacos del al pastor, and my mom ordered their seafood soup. We also ordered an appetizer of ceviche. The ceviche was SO tasty-- the ingredients tasted fresh and the seafood was definitely NOT from a can or pre-packaged. The gordita de rajas was cooked to perfection, oozing with queso and peppers. The meat in my tacos de al pastor was perfectly spiced and my mom loved her seafood soup. We will definitely be back. Ayala's is a hidden gem!

I am rating this place for its food only. I know it becomes a dance club at night, but I have only had lunch at this spot.
I did not think Mexican food could taste so good in Chicago. I am from Texas and my quest for decent Mexican food outside of a Rick Bayless establishment has always come up short. The food here is amazing. I have been here twice and both times I am so happy for hours after I leave. The food is so good.
Both times I have had a combo that comes with a flauta, tostada, and a taco. The chicken that accompanies the meal in the tacos and in he flauta is very tasty. The rice and beans are also very good. It's hard to find a place that places care in its rice and beans. The chips here are fantastic as well. The staff is friendly, this place is fantastic! I grew up eating Mexican food in South Texas and this food is as close as I've come to the food in South Texas. Love it! -

Wow! suburbs can become "Mazes" at times. I felt like I was on "Mission" it took me about an hour to get to this place (discarding coming from far South Chicago) now that I remember it must of been more than an hour because I remember my friend riding shotgun saying that "He did not care if we don't make it to the place, after all he was all ready tipsy." Well this place usually a Mexican restaurant but, its turn to a bar/club on weekend nights.
Its a $10 cover, the drink prices are reasonable and well there isn't much about this place its your usual Mexican bar/club scene but, I have to admit I had a blast here and I couldn't believe how many attractive Latina ladies lived in this suburb. I guess the only good thing about this place was that one of my friend's friend popped a bottle of Tequila and the bouncers did not say anything about it. -

I sometimes come here for lunch and at times come after work with a buddy for some food and drinks. It is not usually too busy, since i come around 6pm-9pm. Their "Nacho's Ayala" are very good, and the bar has pretty much everything. The drinks are fairly priced and the waiter which is usually there is very nice. I met the owner once, and she welcomed me to the restaurant. I will keep visiting this place on a regular basis.
