Ayala Golf Center
3 reviews for Ayala Golf Center
I frequently go to this driving range from time to time since it's not to far from my house. At times it can get pretty crowded depending on the time and day you go but overall it's a pretty nice place to practice.
It is well maintained and has nice targets you can aim for since they have simulated greens placed at different distances. Their putting green is very nice and well maintained and they also have a chipping area to.
My only complaint is that their bucket of balls is kind of expensive. They have 3 different bucket sizes and the difference in price is only a $1 between them which I don't really think makes any sense.
Sad to hear that they are going to be closing the place down to expand the park. I really liked going here because of its close proximity to my house when I don't feel like driving further to another place to practice.
I occasionally stop by here on the way home from work. Their large bucket is $10 (if you hit off mats) or $11 (if you hit off of grass). I've only been there a total of 5 times and I have very mixed feelings about the place.
The facility is nice, for what it is. They have astro-turfed field with around 6 flags to aim at. I'm just a little uneasy about my last visit. When you hit a range, you want to work on your swing and concentrate at what you're doing. The only way you get better is if you practice. How can someone concentrate when you have a large number of obnoxious people around you? The place seems to be a haven for great-ball-a-whacker guys who love to crush the ball. That's fine, it being a public place and all, but I'm sitting on a mat and a guy from two mats down yells at the guy standing to the other side of me, "Hey Mack, watch me crush this thing!". That was during my backswing....on multiple occasions. Those same guys, and a bunch more I've run into at that place, seem to frequent the place. I see them talking to the local pro, or the guy giving golf lessons. So I, not being a regular, feel awkward and don't really say anything to them. I'd move down the line to another spot but at all the times I've gone to there, all the spots are taken!
If you can live with loud noise while trying to hit, and are just out there to take a whack at a couple balls, give this place a shot. You should probably get drunk first, so maybe you'd fit in. It's not that assuming that people there are all drunk, it's just that with all the chatter and socializing, you'd swear you're at a sports bar or something. If you want to actually work on your swing, or get better at golf, you should probably try hitting another range.

They really take care of the driving range. An in-house golf pro is available for golf lessons and an in-house pro-shop is there for all your club needs.
