I am newly obsessed with the nachos at this restaurant in the Midtown Global Market. It just opened recently and some friends were eating nachos from Ay Caramba. The plate was so big they couldn't finish so I tried one chip. Ever since that one chip, I've been dreaming about nachos: The chips are delicious and crisp, served up in a giant pile covered in black beans, shredded lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and melted white cheese, topped with Mexican sour cream and a huge scoop of guac. What I love most about the nachos is that they aren't heavy or greasy--just light, crispy and topped with fresh veggies and excellent guacamole.

The family that opened this restaurant are owners of La Cosecha market next to it. I have shopped there for hot sauce and Chilean food staples for years, so they know their Latin food well and the ingredients in the restaurant are fresh off their own shelves. Between Ay Caramba and the other Mexican food in the market, I'd go here for staples like burritos & nachos and go to Los Ocampo when I'm in the mood for sopes and huaraches.

Three carnitas tacos with generous spicing, onions, and a large amount for cilantro for ONE DOLLAR each. Well worth it.  We will definitely be trying the other menu items the next time we are here.

Some of the best nachos I have EVER had!!!!!!! These are NOT your TGI Fridays/Applebees/Chilis pieces o crap. Loaded with fresh ingredients and pretty much everything you could want in a plate of nachos. I will be back. Soon.
