I checked out quite a few videographers for our wedding (Sept 2006), and Oren was the only one who really was a good stylistic fit for my taste. Our wedding video, which has a long and short version, turned out a timeless classic and we are very happy with the results. Here is a summary of what I liked about working with him:
* good listener and with a great understanding of the tone I wanted
for the video.
* i gave him some guidance for the music but no specific songs, and he made excellent choices.
* extremely professional and low-maintenance the day-of the wedding.
* he sent us a draft video, we had a follow-up call where i made a few
change requests (asked for more shots of our guests and one different song), and then we had the final version just a week or so later with the changes that we wanted.
* the video itself is classy and elegant -- everyone loves it.
* great prices for the quality of the product.
I really recommend that anyone having a wedding also get a videographer. It really captures so much of the 'story' of the wedding in addition to the traditional still photographs.
We thought that Oren did an excellent job with our wedding video. Everyone has been so incredibly impressed by the quality and thoughtfulness of his work, especially the 'highlights' video that he posted just the day after! (I can't believe he was able to turn it out so fast!) It was so fun to watch it the next day with my new husband.
Oren made so much more than just a video, as it was a mini-movie production, with tasteful editing and selection of accompanying music. I heard from more than one person that our highlights video brought them to the verge of tears because they were so moved!
When we met w/ Oren, we really liked his laid back and comfortable personality. About 1 week before the wedding I did have to call him to go over the logisitics again (which made me slightly concerned that I hadn't heard from him earlier), but I really didn't have anything to be worried about.
Oren was punctual, non-intrusive, professional, friendly, accomodating and worked well with our photographers and DJ. We were totally blown away by the quality of his work. He was so talented w/ piecing the video together and the editing. He has a great eye, and picked the perfect music. I highly recommend him for his high quality work and prompt finished product!
Oren is truly awesome! We were unsure about having a videographer, but are so grateful we did. His prompt delivery (less than 3 weeks after our event) and beautiful execution of the wedding video were amazing. We watched with family and friends and everyone raved about it! The background music was perfect and everything flowed very well. It was a very elegant wedding video. We are ecstatic with the finished product! If you want a top-quality videographer, look no further. He will create a masterpiece that will allow you to treasure your special day forever. I would use Oren's services again in a heartbeat! Meet the Business Owner: Oren A.
Oren's fascination with image capture and storytelling began at age 13 when he was given his first SLR camera. Since everything was manual, there was an immediate need to learn about proper exposure, focus, composition, and lighting...all the basics that we take for granted in today's instant-feedback society. Continuing his shooting throughout high-school, he was asked to assist a video professional while the industry was still in it's infancy. Once again, hooked, he split his time between photography and video for special events and portraiture (apparently, most of his friends aspired to be actors). In College, Oren focus on perfecting his craft by studying for a Bachelor of Science in Communication. Eventually, this led to work with ABC News, Sportschannel NY and USA Networks. When the opportunity came to relocated to California in the mid 90's, he jumped on the chance and has made the Bay Area his home ever since. Oren is proudly doing what he loves best for the past 21 years.
