Review from john p.
Phoenix, AZ
We went in to check out a Cube while our car was being serviced at a nearby dealer prior to being sold. Trudy, was pretty good at assisting us, was way up to speed on the product line ,most of the car sales people we've dealt with know crap about cars let along the cars they are selling, and she came up with a decent alternative suggestion for an alternate vehicle. All in all one of the better car shopping trips we've had.
The provisional figures matched exactly what I was looking for without anything sneaking its way in but really it's hard to tell how they are going to treat you once you start the purchase. -

Review from Max A.
My girlfriend and I stopped in here today. We were out comparing the new Kia Sportage Turbo with the Nissan Juke. The Kia dealership was great... The Nissan dealership was quite the opposite. It's not the first time we've had a lousy experience at a Nissan dealership.
First off, the place smelled like a fart with body odor. From the moment we opened the door, we were hit in the face with a wall of stinky air.
Strike One.
Second, the salesman that walked up to us could barely talk - he mumbled everything at us and didn't make much sense. We wandered around looking at the showroom cars and I tried to open the door on a GT-R and he said "you can't open that because it's too expensive."
Excuse me?? What am I gonna do, rub shit all over the insides? I think having a nearly 100k car inside a showroom that smells like a gym bag full of sweaty clothes would devalue it more than me opening the door.
Strike Two.
Here's the kicker... they wouldn't let me test drive a Juke unless I gave my phone number. He grabbed my ID (which is normal) and then asked for my phone number. I said I wasn't going to give them my number - I mean, we just got here.
He said it was in case we decided to hijack him (leaving our brand new VW Golf behind). I'm not stupid - the real reason was so they could harass me for months after I left. I seldom give out my number - whenever I have, sales people from car dealerships call me at least once or twice a week to see if I'm ready to buy a car today or to tell me they just got one in that I would like. It's annoying.
No, we aren't going to hijack you to steal a 25k car - you have my license - that's enough. Plus, we're leaving behind a brand new car of equal value. What are you going to do with my number anyway if I do hijack it, call me and ask me nicely to not steal the car? Idiots.
The salesman took my ID and went back to go talk to the manager to see if he could let me drive the car without a phone number. The manager said "no" apparently, so...
Strike Three...
We grabbed my ID and left with a quickness.
This place sucks. There are better Nissan dealerships in the Valley. -
Review from Molly H.
This place was astoundingly rude to my boyfriend and I. The salesman's personality was slimy right out of the gate. We just wanted to test drive a specific car, and it took us less than 10 minutes to be so turned off by this place we turned around and left.
First, we were looking at a really nice car that was in the show room. It was locked, and my boyfriend asked to take a look inside. The salesman replied with "No, it's too expensive". I may not be rolling around wearing Prada but it's absolutely rude and insulting to assume someone's budget.
Next they tell us that we can't test drive the car we want because we wouldn't give the salesman our phone number. He said it was in case we "hijacked him". First, how rude to treat us as if we're criminals. Second, he had my boyfriend's driver's license. They could practically apply for a credit card in his name- a phone number (which we could have given a fake one anyway) doesn't make their salesman any more safe. They clearly just wanted contact information to be able to try and get us back in if we didn't buy that day. I personally just bought a brand new car after looking and test driving for MONTHS, and nobody EVER denied me a test drive because I wouldn't give my number. Heck, I don't think anyone else even asked for it at that point.
After the manager confirmed with the salesman that they wouldn't allow us to test drive without a phone number, we left. You'd think that with car sales at such a low, they'd at least have the common sense to treat customers with a little respect. -

Redwood City, CA
This company sold my younger sister her car. She was silly, and did not call family for help to understand the loan. This company was working with Chase Auto Loans and offered her a horrible loan that was essentially a trap.
When she finally "fessed up" to the bad decision she made, I called the dealership to ask how they could ethically offer this kind of deal to young buyers. When I asked to speak to a manager she was "to busy" to talk to me, and I got som sassy remarks from the finance person during our conversation about the issue.
I decided to yelp about my experience in the hopes that some other young buyer might see this and avoid the same mistake.
Summary: Beware what you sign up for at this dealership. Bring someone with you when you buy because they are definitely looking out for their own interests with little regard for their customer! You should be responsible, and informed as a buyer but that does not excuse loan sharky bad behavior by dealers and banks!
...shame on you Avondale Nissan!
