How much do I love Debra at Avital? Why, let me count the ways.
1. The scalp and neck massage she gives during the shampoo....just fantastic (only wish it was longer)!
2. My initial consultation with Debra lasted about 15-20 minutes. She actually spent time asking questions, making suggestions and listening to my concerns.
3. And then there was the haircut. One of the best ones I have ever had. As another reviewer stated, Debra is an artist. You can tell she loves what she does. I have thin, fine hair and when I left Avital it looked bouncy and full and hip and I could not have been more pleased. Also, she didn't try to upsell me on a bunch of product.
Avital is a funky little salon with a nice, mellow vibe and I'm so happy that I've finally found a stylist who gets the job done and then some! -

Such a great salon! I love getting my hair cut, colored, and styled by Jeru! She's a great asset to Avital, and I'll continue to go there as long as she's there!
She's been doing my hair for as long as I can remember, and always seems to know exactly what I want...even if I don't!!
Although I haven't tried them yet, they have some great organic make-up and skin products as well! -

I lost my hairdresser some time ago. By word of mouth, I heard of Debra at Avital and have been going to her for the past eight months. She performs miracles with aging and thin hair. She listens to my concerns and takes the time to give me get the cut and style that delights me. I always walk out happy with the experience.

Happy happy! I've never let anyone touch my eyebrows before but I decided to trust the other reviews and I'm glad I did. Avital was wonderful and helpful. Got a much better eyebrow pencil now at her recommendation. I was impressed with how painless her waxing technique is. I didn't have an appointment but she helped me right away on my first walk in. She had me grow out my eyebrows which i was hesitant to do but I'm so happy I listened to her. I absolutely love the new shape. Avital is brilliant! And as if that isn't enough reason to love this place, the experience and atmosphere makes you look forward to your appointment. I always feel pampered and like I was just hanging out with friends.

Belle is a sweet heart and a true artist, a great find for brow design.
Jaclyn was also very wonderful made a Brazilian as comfortable as can be considering you are open like a lab monkey, very smooth ending. I would refer both of the ladies for any service they provide. Great atmosphere and friendly people I am fortunate to have been referred to by a mutual friend. -

An amazing place to come and relax and get your makeup done! Belle is the best and is so spunky and funny! This business is run by Avital, Belle's younger sister. The inside is so cute and welcoming. Belle customized a foundation for that I am in love with! They also sell great organic makeup and hair products. Your first eyebrow wax is free! So fun!

I've had a Yelp account for 3 years now. I travel often and use Yelp to find vital information and have found more than a few must-haves and vitals. I have never actually gotten off of my lazy horse and written a review. Take and not give, right? Avital, however, has given me the kick I needed to give back to the community. That says a LOT!
This review is for Debra, the superstar colorist. I used to visit her at Mika Salon in WC. Being a hair snob and a paranoid narcissist means that I wouldn't trust darn near anyone with my hair. My stylist is located in Rome, Italy, and because I live in Brooklyn it just wasn't convenient to fly to Rome to get my hair done (although I do admit to giving it considerable debate). After reading Debra's stellar reviews on Yelp, I decided that flying to Walnut Creek was much more feasible.
I called her from Brooklyn to make the appointment, and insisted on a consult via e-mail (see 'paranoid narcissist' admission above). She good naturedly agreed, and after looking at my stupid e-mailed glam shots gave me a spot on assessment over the phone. Two weeks later, I was in her chair having the best damn color of my life with the best damn colorist in the US. In addition to giving me the best color that I've ever had, Deb hands down gave the best service and personality and love for the art of hair design that I have ever seen. She is amazing, and so creative and just all around wonderful. You can't trust your hair to just anyone, and she not only assesses aesthetics, she assesses personality and puts her own magic into the finished product. She is brilliant.
Additionally, her lovely co-workers are kind, gracious women who genuinely love what they do. After my color, I had my eyebrows shaped and they even touched up my makeup. Perfect day at a perfect salon.

I recently moved to walnut creek and we all know the difficulty in finding a hair stylist in a new place. I found Debra from a stranger in a pilates class whose cut I liked. What a find Debra has been! She's great with cut and color, gives a nice relaxing massage to start, and does everything she can to make you comfortable and happy! She's also one of the most interesting people I've met and has a great style of her own. My husband is a fan too. He has beautiful curly hair that most people just don't know how to cut. Not Debra - she gives him the best cut he's had in years. So whether a longer bob cut, curly hair, or color Debra does it all.

As a man, it's important to find a brow artist that truly understands what the right shape for a guy is and how to create it. This is the only place I will go!!

I've met Avital and heard about this business at a few local events like the Walnut Creek Wine Walk and Oktoberfest and she's always been really nice. I've wanted to have my brows re-shaped for a while and talked to Avital about this at one of the events. I finally went in a few weeks ago to have that done.
Belle was there and she was so helpful! I needed to let my brows grow out a bit more and I went back last week and she did a great job helping me keep them tamed while waiting for them to grow out. I really feel like she's in this with me and will help me get my brows looking fabulous.
While I was there, she also ended up doing my make up after I told her I wasn't happy with mine. I had no idea that they mix foundation especially for your skin tone. I loved my make up job so much that I scrapped my at-home dinner plans that night and made my husband go out since I looked so good. I purchased the foundation and a few other things and I love it. I'm now so excited to put on makeup every day!
I'm so glad that Avital and Belle picked Walnut Creek for their location. We needed a place like this and I'm so excited they're here. They definitely have my business and I'll send my friends there as well. I've had a great experience every time I've gone in and I want to support them so they'll be around for a long time! -

My eyebrows needed some TLC, and all the great reviews from fellow Yelpers had me thinking that the worst thing that could happen would hopefully just be the loss of some unwanted hairs!
Belle was amazingly supportive and friendly. She took me the day I called, and the Expert Eybrow Design was painless and actually somewhat relaxing. Who knew that getting hair removed from your face could be such a pleasant experience?!
On a serious note though, Belle was completely professional and I enjoyed our conversation. I'm looking forward to my next appointment at Avital this April! -

I happen to stumble upon this place because I found out they sold Cinema Secrets Makeup (through CS main office). I stopped by today with a sleeping baby in the car. As I ducked in to make sure this was the right place, the lovely Belle was so wonderful, compassionate and fun; she jumped right in and helped me like a good friend. She did the makeup outside so I could stand next to the car and she nailed the color almost immediately. Next, after my son woke up she played with him while I got a consult from their stylist, Deborah. I didn't want to leave...this place has a great vibe. Not too uppity and but with edge, style and professionalism. I can't wait to go back. All the while, I never had an appointment but she embraced me like I was "regular" customer. A great find indeed.

I had Belle do my makeup for a boudoir photo shoot, and I was more than pleased with the results. The photographer (who also happens to be a makeup artist herself) kept complimenting the makeup, and wanted to know who had done it. I've only seen the pictures on the tiny viewing screen on the camera so far, but from what I could see the makeup looked stunning!
The foundation was the perfect color, and it didn't even feel like I was wearing any. I've had makeup done for photos before, and it's never felt that light before! The eye makeup really brought out the hints of green in my eyes, and I looooooooved the lip color!
I can't recommend Belle highly enough. I also had her do my eyebrows, and I'm definitely going to be going back! -

Debra Collins is an artist - I've never received such an amazing cut in my life. My hair is really thick & tends to be frizzy. She created a hairstyle that is classy with an edge, & has beautiful movement.
Belle did a fantastic job with my eyebrows. Like magic, a little waxing, a little tweezing, & I have eyebrows that retained their thickness & are perfect for my face. Plus, she spent time educating me on make-up application. I learned so much & feel more adventurous with my look.
In addition, Avital was a fun & relaxing place to be. I drove 2 hours to get here & will go back again & again because of the amazing service, welcome reception, & fantastic artistry. -

Shea truly amazing and does the beat job, she listens and takes her time until they're perfect and they always end up just the way I want them. I went in after finding an ad on Facebook for a free eyebrow consultation...the last person I saw for a "consult" in another salon made my eyebrows look like the McDonald's arches so I was wary but figured I would give it a shot because I didn't think my shape was right.
Belle took SUCH great care of me! Everyone in the place was very nice and she was able to squeeze me in at a time I knew she'd rather be wrapping up to go home.
She really spent some time asking me if I wanted to keep doing what I was doing, or if I actually wanted her opinion...which always means I'm not going to like what I'm about to hear. BUT she was delicately honest and showed me what she'd like to do to improve the shape and how long it would take to get said results and really put my mind at ease that my features were in someone's very capable hands.
I don't have the full effect yet but I'm really hopeful of where this will be going so I can finally have the eyebrows I've always wanted. I plan on going back and would reccomend her to anyone questioning if they're doing what looks good for their face instead of just staying on the path their tweezers have chosen. -

I found Avital beauty lounge, through a friend... Its like finding the fountain of youth . and the art on the walls were amazing . i walked in the lounge and the sisters, Avital and Belle, were awesome. They helped to find me the right foundation to fit my face, and i haven't been so happy with the results in a long time. the sisters brought out my inner beauty with a bit of help.but its all natural makeup, being im very into respecting animals, and i hate having ingredients that are harsh on my face and i always seem to break out.I was amazed at the results... these products was worth it, and only for $28.00 this foundation is the best thing Ive purchased in a long time. Take it from me, I'm so picky, but i found my place. Go see for yourself, and you will surely Yelp about it as well.

My wife went to Avital Beauty lounge and fell in love with the experience. She received royal treatment and great suggestions for the correct tones and types of make-up for her skin tone. I visited Avital last Friday and Belle did my brow shaping. Belle was awesome!! I loved the Salon. I had never been there and I am relocating to the area so I was checking out a new place. Belle was so friendly and she did a great job. We talked about make up after wards and I left feeling great!! I will be going back for my new brow waxing. Thanks Belle!!

Avital's Beauty Lounge is so welcoming and professional as well as fun and artistic. Avital and Belle are truly artists when it comes to makeup and brow shaping! Avital's personal makeup line includes quality, all natural products full of fun colors and sparkles!
I am so happy with my eyebrows and absolutely loved my makeup! Avital even taught me some great techniques for doing my makeup at home! I can't wait until I own her entire line of makeup, it's all so amazing!
The waxing and facial room is very welcoming and creates a calm and relaxing space for services. The facial I received was so relaxing and left my skin feeling soft and radiant! I can't wait to go back for another! The waxing is great and perfect on sensitive skin.
All services provided by Avital and Belle are professional and well worth it, not to mention their fun personalities that make the salon visit very enjoyable!

Avital's will blow your mind! They have fantastic face products and I recently got a facial there. All natural products and a beautiful atmosphere! She also has her own makeup line. If you are looking for great prices and expert makeup go see Avital!!! The waxing is great too!

great beauty lounge!!!! the atmosphere is amazing the salon is so cool looking! belle, avital, and nichole, are all really good at what they do on top of being really funny. Ive gotten eyebrow waxing, waxing of the legs, an extended bikini wax, a facial annnnnd my make up done for my wedding and all of it was just amazing :). nichole is really good at waxing, amazing facials, and make up! :) avital is an amazing make up artist and belle does the best eye brows :). Sooo come to this beauty lounge for a whole make over or just even relaxation while laughing at the same time :).
