This is how someone else's review started, but I could have written the same, since this is exactly my experience as well. Moreover, all staff (e.g., Jeremy) are extremely professional and knowledgeable, and every piece of equipment worked perfectly. -

I've been using Avista for the past 4 years for an annual major company event. Every year is very successful. They are incredibly professional & a pleasure to work with.
This year, a wrench was thrown in the set-up, a big one, but Jeremy, the technician, was unflappable. Poor guy got stuck chatting with me (we were waiting for building owners to fix a problem & there was nowhere to hide) & he managed to maintain professionalism but found a common interest in local parks. Sounds trivial, but when you have no choice but to wait...
Equipment it top-notch -we've NEVER had any problems of any sort, on any level. I highly recommend Avista for all your A/V needs! -

My wife and I rented an iPlay setup for our wedding and were extremely pleased with Avista's setup and their service.
We needed to retrieve the setup a few hours before their normal pick-up window, but they were extremely accommodating, even though they had a large order to fill just before I showed up.
Avista's staff provided a very useful dry-run of the equipment setup to familiarize me with the procedure and also to test the equipment. Additionally, the youtube video was very convenient for briefing the small army of friends, who were helping with our wedding.
Everything worked flawlessly at the event and drop-off and billing of the system was smooth. -

Perfect experience with these guys. I needed a piece of equipment for a wedding (portable speaker / wireless mic). I didn't even know if what I wanted existed, but I figured I wasn't the only person on earth who had this sort of need.
I found Avista through their excellent SEO work on Google. Called 'em up and they had the exact piece of equipment I needed - battery-powered, good sound, wireless mic, perfect.
I picked up at their San Jose office, the whole shebang took 20 minutes and cost $150. Couldn't have been easier. -

We rented equipment from Avista for our outdoor wedding. Clayton and his crew were always accommodating and willing to work with us.
We got a little lost heading to the place. My iphone was playing tricks on me and gave me some pretty messed up directions. But a quick call to the folks at Avista and we were on the right track.
The equipment we rented was top notch and in good shape. After a quick demo, we were on our merry little way. The only problem was things didn't fit, so we had to make two trips.
If I ever needed to rent Audio/video equipment, I would definitely come back and highly recommend them. -

I originally found Avista through searching on google. I'm so glad I found them as they are very dependable and instrumental in the gigs i've had. They are also very helpful and takes the time to tell all about the gear as well as the shortcomings so I get the full run through of the rental. I always go straight to renting from Avista since I know the staff will do their best to help.

I rented a projection screen on two occasions in April 2009. The equipment was clean and in good condition. Customer service by email and phone was excellent - professional, documents and equipment ready on time, adjusted to my requests, etc. The only reason I did not give 5 stars here is that I wish the pickup/drop off hours were a little longer, but I don't regard that as a serious issue. I will definitely rent from Avista again.

I was essentially renting the ipod package but as individual components so I could save a few bucks, two 15" speakers, stands, speaker cables, mixer, 1/8" cable hookup. I was renting to play music at our class reunion and it went splendidly.
Overall I am very impressed and pleased with my experience. The staff was helpful and friendly, like they were really glad to have my business and cared about my reunion going as well as I did.
The equipment is in good shape (the mixers in excellent shape) and I appreciate all the tips and tricks for someone who doesn't know much about A/V. When you arrive for pickup they demo and test the equipment for you so you know it works, show you how to operate all the equipment, how to fix any kinds of problems you may encounter, and give you a 24/7 emergency contact number. That was amazing and made me feel like I could rest assured I would be able to operate the equipment no problems the next day.
Overall I highly recommend them and hope to help them get the word out on a great service. $158 and that is so much cheaper than any DJ we could hope to find. -

Found this place here on Yelp, and decided to give them a go as they were rated this high. I was not disappointed!
They were very thorough with testing the equipment in front of me, and making sure everything worked. The projectors were perfect for the wedding I had rented them for, and the insanely long cables and VGA splitter I got worked great!
Thanks a lot, and will definitely be using them if I need anything AV like in the future. -

Professionally run outfit located in a hidden building near Lawrence Expwy. I rented a HD camcorder from them along with a light. The equipment was ready as promised and Clayton even threw in extra batteries to make sure that we don't run out. I would definitely use their services again.

Found these guys on the internet when I needed a projection screen. One of the few places that offer a rear-projection screen at a reasonable price. The customer support was great and the equipment worked out flawlessly.

This is my 2nd year renting from Avista and they are terrific. Clayton Higa is a rock star --- just call him and it's done. I had a couple of other people from my team help pick up and return the equipment, and they made that part easy as well. I strongly recommend using their services if you want everything easy to setup and the ability to make your audio / video experience go like a charm. Quality of equipment is superb. Customer service is superb. Good people as well..
