Avery Refuse Disposal Transfer Station

Fast and easy to dump your local area garbage and they have recycling on site as well. Sure better than the other dumps I've been to.

Clean and organized. Staff is nice and helpful. They run this transfer station very well... love the music they play as well!

I actually look forward to bringing my trash here because the people working here are so friendly. Also as others have mentioned, everything is very well organized. If you have items that they are not able to take (yard debris, mattresses), just talk to the staff and they will direct you to the right place.

Great people working here. And very easy to work with. Got something unusual or environmentally sensitive (batteries? microwave oven?) . They can help you with finding the right disposal solution.

Simple and easy drop off. Staff is helpful and make themselves available. I always bring my recyclables and waste here.

Drove half an hour with a truck full of trash only to be told you must be a resident of that town to dump there. Would have been nice to see that posted on the page somewhere visible, what a total waste of valuable time and energy.

Usually when you talk about garbage on Yelp, the locale deservedly gets a 1 star rating; but the Avery station doesn't dish it- it takes the garbage....and does it in an impressive manner that puts other counties to shame.

The station is simple, well organized, efficient, CLEAN and easy for all to use. They accept garbage and all the different recylcling types that the standard household might come up with (even batteries! I love that!) The signage is so clear that unless you're blind, you would know that you wouldn't dare mix the newspaper with cardboard.

The staff can also help out with questions, but ask with intelligence...something tells me they get stupid questions all day that a glance at the signage can answer.

All in all, this place makes me look forward to going to the dump, and believe me- I never thought I'd be saying that in my lifetime!

I love going to this dump, and love driving away even more. Well organized. Could hardly be better. But be aware they close on the dot. The worker races to the gate and blocks it with an SUV at the exact second they close. They will not work another 42 seconds without compensation, so be on your toes. The CHP is hep to this and watches for people speeding between Arnold and Avery.
