Review from Kathryn C.
Gainesville, FL
My favorite place to go. Period. I would be there right now if I could, but I live in Florida. What better place could there possibly be to camp? I have been camping here in the fall, summer and spring, and they're all beautiful seasons here in their own way. It makes me want to make the 10 hour drive right now!

Enter Pisgah National Forest's Cradle of Forestry on 276 either from the Parkway or Brevard. Near the visitor's center take the gravel road past the horse stables and continue until you come to a parking lot on the right hand side that can hold six or so cars. Follow the trail along beautiful flowing stream with waterfalls and rock out croppings. At first fork in the trail, turn right for a loop trail that will take you back up to the road or go left and cross the bridge to Twin Falls - two independent waterfalls pouring into the little gorge at the same point. The loop trail is a nice short hike along a well maintained trail. If you take the Twin Falls trail, it adds a few miles, but is worth the walk.
