Avery has all-you-can-drink samples albeit you only get one small glass at a time. This coupled with its close proximity to CU make it a popular gathering place for twenty somethings. The bartender and tour guide were really nice. It's location is totally in a somewhat industrial area (for Boulder anyway) and can be a bit tricky to find.

If you haven't heard of Avery before it's probably b/c they primarily distribute outside of Colorado.

Used to live with a fellow that worked for Avery.  Brewer.  Real nice fellow.  Maintained a well-stocked fridge, that's for sure (with beer, I mean).  

And the beer?  Well, coming from one who very nearly despises all beer, Avery ain't half bad!  In fact, I would even recommend you take a sip.  Many different varieties and flavs here.  This one beer--I remember it well--The Beast.  Roomie only gave me about a coffee cup full and I was like, "WTF?"  And was like, "careful there."  And he was right, this beer IS a beast.  Gotta keep your eye on it.  Real dessert beer.
