Every hood needs a predictable go-to diner and Avenita is mine! There's your typical diner fare that includes breakfast at all hours of the day, sandwiches, various mediocre hot foods but boy do I have to bow down to this place and owe them my first born child. I can't recall the numerous amounts of time I've stumbled in here after a wild night out - starved, sick, with my trusty shades on to hide the miserable state I was in.
Avenita has been my savior time and time again filling my stomach with much needed sustenance. The staff is warm and welcoming and won't judge you for coming in smelling like whiskey. The food is dependable, cheap, and quick. And the challah french toast with subtlety salted crispy edges brings me back to life and ready to repeat the previous night all over again.
I've come here so many times, that the owners afforded to buy a new location across the street!Listed in: 2012 April Challenge

Love this place. Been a customer for about 18 years. Service is always warm, fast and friendly. Food is consistently good. The new location is very nicely decorated and has parking in the back.

OUTSTANDING BREAKFAST...
Enough said. It better be too, if you are going be a legit NYC diner. The only thing that sucks is that you can get a heart attack eating this type of grub everyday.
I wish their corned beef hash was fresh, and not out of some tub made somewhere else.
WARNING: Stay away from that crap hole John's pizzeria, next door. Hopefully the rats and other nuclear rodents from that dump don't infest the other fine businesses on that block. -

Food is good. I usually order the grilled chicken with yellow rice and beans on the side. Comes with salad add a soda all for under 10bucks can't beat that. The staff is friendly. I didn't like there empanadas tho. But I would recommend this place. Oh an they have fast delivery too. I get it atleast once a week
