This place is a God send! They are efficient, quick, smart, friendly, high quality and inexpensive!
I begrudgingly agreed to take our business to Autumn Express when by boss insisted that they were as good as the online printing company I had always used. Hot dog...they finished in 2 hours and the prints turned out perfectly!
I was hooked. Since then, I've brought them every print job I have... from press releases & press kits to flyers...to SOCK SLEEVES to signage and beyond. I have never once been anything but impressed.
Here are the reasons to go to Autumn instead of an online printer:
- They are wicked fast. (YES even faster than 'have it tomorrow' fast)
- They are SMART - They have caught so many of my mistakes and brought them to my attention before printing...saved. my. life.
- They are green! Always trying to help me save the earth (and cut costs) by seeing where we could save a little paper.
-Their store is absolutely adorable.
Pinky swear I have printed my fair share of collateral, and short of fancy lithographers ($$$) this is as good a quality you can get. -

I came to Autumn Express to have my wedding invitations printed. A good friend of mine designed them for us a wedding gift and I needed a place to print them. I'm having a big fat Indian wedding so I needed a lot of invitations with a lot of different pieces to be printed. As nitpicky as I got over the design, invitations were not at the top of my priority list in terms of budget and I didn't want to spend a gazillion dollars getting them printed.
Autumn Express was the best printer I found because they gave me a really good price, showed me several samples of what they would look like before I placed the final order AND (this is the big one!) they printed all my addresses on the envelopes for me!!! This saved me HOURS and HOURS of time and they look fabulous! I know everyone talks about Valerie who I did meet and was very nice, but I mostly spoke with Theresa who was extremely honest, helpful and professional. I highly recommend this place and will most likely be coming back to get my wedding programs printed! -

I recently did a print job with Autumn Express to test them out for both myself and clients. The quality of my printed postcards are beautiful!!!
I upsold myself and went with the 110# paper as I wanted a heavier hand and have gotten great reviews from many who received them. As a design professional, finding reasonable quality printers is paramount, and I am glad to of found them! -

This place is truly as good as it gets. The staff were incredibly helpful, the prices are more than reasonable, the quality is fantastic and everything was just above and beyond my expectation.
Last week I came into the store hoping that they could save me from a crisis. My organization was attending a conference in DC and I needed to print a mountain of things in 24 hours - 50 booklets, 100 one-page documents, a banner, a poster and brochures...and I needed it all on recycled materials... and I had to ship it to Seattle too!
Since I am not a professional designer, the files that I created weren't perfect. They lacked the specs needed (i.e. bleeding edge) to print them properly. The women working at Autumn Express went above and beyond anything i could have expected to help me prepare my files. They had a woman there who helped correct the designs for me without any additional costs or anything! I couldn't believe it!
As if that wasn't enough, the French woman there (i think her name was Valarie?) helped me to coordinate the shipping too! The first place she tried was WAY too expensive ($700 for overnight shipping!) so Valarie did extra research on her own to try to get a better price for me. I didn't even ask her to do that or anything, she just took it upon herself to help me out even more. She checked into UPS, FedEx, their freight shipping and USPS. Incredible!
I can't imagine going to any other print shop and receiving such incredible service. Not only are they friendly, fast, reasonably prices and helpful, but they also print using recycled paper!
If you need anything printed, this is the place to go!! -

Secondly: Valerie, who was our contact at Autumn Express, is delightful - customer service oriented, patient, kind, provides guidance, knows her stuff. FABULOSITY personified.
Thirdly: They did a fantastic job, at a very reasonable price, including ring binding, on a book I had been compiling for some time. When Valerie handed me the proof, I almost cried, I was so happy with how it looked and the quality of the finished product. -

Autumn Express did a wonderful job printing our wedding invitations and thank-you cards last spring. And they were quick and inexpensive! We brought in our digital designs on a thumb drive and they had no issues getting them loaded onto their computers and getting proofs out to us.

I came in here to print 10 personalized resumes and left with 10 beautifully printed on "very me" recycled brown thick stock paper with eco friendly ink and huge envelopes to carry them in. Fast service, great prices, easy in and easy out. Will recommend and come back!

A few months back, my (now) husband and I designed our own wedding invites and needed a no-headache, inexpensive way to get them printed. We really wanted to work with a person and be able to feel paper types and weights, and not just submit our files via an online service. We found Autumn Express through Yelp and were delighted to discover their office located just blocks from our home.
While the storefront itself is pretty no-frills, the printing and customer service is unbeatable! Valerie was great at showing us our options alongside a range of samples from past customers. Price and turnaround time cannot be beat and we got our invites under budget and within 24 hours. Autumn Express takes pride in the work they do which means everything looks sharp, centered, and consistent.
In the months that followed, we used Autumn Express two more times for our tables cards and signs as well as our thank you cards. For these jobs we communicated with Valerie mostly over email and were able to send over our files rather than visit the store. She rushed both orders so that we'd have them in time and again the cost was incredibly reasonable. The only downside of Autumn Express is that they're hours are limited to M-F, but any inconvenience that brings is resolved by the fact that the turnaround is extremely timely and the service is personable and efficient. -

Fantastic place: fast, inexpensive and excellent service. Trust Valerie to walk you though whatever she needs to ensure your print job turns out amazing.
I first went to Autumn Express asking for a quote to print a quarterly magazine (print run of 300+ issues, 20-30 pages) with a color cover instead of the black and white we have done for the last 50 years (yeah, we've been at this for a while). They gave me a great price, and the magazine has absolutely never looked better.
For that first order I dumped my three issue backlog on them at once, asking for 960 copies of a 20 page magazine, and it was done a couple days later. I absolutely recommend them!
Excellent location too, very near to BART in the Mission. -

Based on the recommendations from other folks on yelp, I decided to give Autumn Express a try. Glad I did!
A lot of print shops smell bad, feel cluttered, etc. This place felt like an oasis of paper, free of the overwhelming smell of ink and "that we're too busy to help" feeling.
Valerie and Theresa were great, easy to deal with. I had a small order of new business cards which I designed on MS Publisher. They took my file, cleaned it up, made it look great, and turned around the order the next day. It was I who was the laggard in getting too busy to pick them up until the next day. Great experience, I will definitely look to work with Autumn Express again! -

I used their services a few weeks ago to get invitations printed and they were a-may-zing.
I called first to see what the place was about and the woman I spoke to was super helpful and patient with me even though I called back like five times to pester her with questions. She even worked with me to get my file the right size to accommodate bleeds. I was pretty nervous because I had to get the invites printed ASAP and didn't have time to check out a proof before committing to the whole job, but they turned out beautifully and exactly how I wanted.
The print work was fantastic and the cost for the invitations was reasonable; the only downside is that the envelopes were a little on the pricey side. But other than that, YES I completely recommend Autumn Express. -

I found Autumn Express by reading Yelp reviews and decided to give them a try. I couldn't be happier. I have gone back about eight times and am often able to get short run print jobs done with less than twenty four hours turnaround time. Valerie and her co-workers are very friendly, helpful and efficient. And the prices are very inexpensive.

First and foremost let me just say wow! Having used a variety of print companies (Kinkos, BPS, H&H, Print&Ship, etc) - I was nervous and a bit unsure of what to expect from a pseudo-print shop in the mission. Before deciding to print at this location I called in advance and got a confirmation from one of their staff members that they could indeed print my odd 8.5x19in document (front and back, full color). I dropped off the files and 30 min. later I got a call saying it was ready! The color was outstanding, the service exceptional and I even got a free mess up print from them (while most places would have just thrown it in the trash)!
I will definitely be using and recommending Autumn Express again to my fellow students & colleagues! -

I cannot recommend Autumn Express highly enough. In fact, I'm not sure I will ever use 123Print or Vista Print again... how's that for praise!!
I had a challenging job: I needed new business cards printed ASAP. I checked out Kinko's (who only seems to do business cards by mail order), Vista Print, 123 Print... all wanted exorbitant fees for express service (which would have been 3-4 days, putting me over deadline). I emailed my layout to Autumn Express on a Tues at 9pm, had a response by 10am the next morning, a proof to review at Noon, and 100 cards by 5pm Wed. I was thrilled. The are very good quality, and the customer service is top-notch for such a small company. The shop also carries lots of little gift items and such, so stop in when you're holiday shopping! -

Also, they have great gift items in the store and I recently attended a 'sugar skull' decorating workshop which was interesting and fun!

I would never have known they have been here for 5 years. Right near the BART station at 16th and Mission; a very convenient location for this print shop and gift store with an emphasis on Mexican goods.
It's a very large space, with lots of cool arts and crafts, gifts, cards, posters and other paper products.
I went in to purchase masks for me and my date to wear to the Yelp Masquerade party, and ended up buying 4- they were so cheap and highly entertaining.

Ok...so I read all the reviews for Autumn Express and decided this is where I want to get my business cards made. Like some other reviewers here, these were my first business cards and I DID NOT HAVE A CLUE about what I wanted! Valerie is great! I left it all up to her and within a hour or so, she had emailed me with proofs of business cards, and quickly I had a design that looks great!
I highly recommend this place! And I highly recommend Valerie! Go there! -

The one major downside to this place is the hours. They operate 10:30 - 6 on weekdays only, which means if you're operating outside business hours (I often am), you're stuck with Kinko's/FedEx.
Which is a shame, because this calm, roomy establishment sets a much more relaxed tone. The printer working the counter when I arrived (possibly the owner, she seemed pretty engaged) patiently worked with me as I wrote down a list of all the things I wanted done, from memory, providing only a USB stick with some files on it. I had kind of odd requests, but she never batted an eye. She asked intelligent questions, following up on whether I needed full bleed on my prints, and on exactly which prints I wanted it, quickly and helpfully walking through what sizes and types of paper I needed for the various prints, and she turned my order around 30 minutes faster than the 2 hours I'd requested.
I look forward to doing business here again, and wish only they had some weekend hours, as I'm generally at work between 10:30 and 6. -

They were closing in half an hour and I called them to do a 3,500 page print (front, back and color) job for our school, which needed to be done by Monday Evening (President's Day). They said they weren't open on the weekends or on President's Day, but they were willing to do it that night. They stayed until 9pm, just to get the job done.
I was able to send them over the word doc through e-mail. Based on the document I sent over, they were able to give me a quote and finish time, so all I had to do was go and pick it up. It was a very efficient process.
The color copies were excellent and they were way cheaper than Kinkos. They called me when it was ready for pick up, so I could go grab food while I was waiting. -

This is a great printer that provides super quick turn around, very affordable prices and friendly service! Valerie is great; very helpful!!
Note that this is digital printing, not CMYK or offset printing, so the quality isn't quite the same. It is good quality, but just not as good as CMYK printing. Also, if you are printing double-sided, there can be some shifting in the lineup, which is something that happens with digital printing. However, the prices are great and the promise of 1 day turn around holds true. I highly recommend Autumn Express for your digital printing jobs!! -

I needed business cards in a flash, and Valerie served up some good looking cards for an awesome price. I will say that if you are looking for absolutely crisp, high-end business cards, I would maybe check elsewhere, but for price and turnaround time I think this place is great. Perfect if you need something done real fast.
One tip: make sure the print resolution (DPI) is at 600 if you are doing anything with graphics and colors, otherwise it might look a little grainy.

Frist!!! This is the most expensive business card EVER!!!! It cost me 110$ for just only 250 pieces. I asked for the thick paper but they gave me a thin paper which I can order it at some other place and It cost me less(65$ for 500 pieces).
I totlally upset and would not suggest anyone to use the service from here!!!
The owner totally ignor my problem which waste my time and money. -

I needed my first set of business cards and started out by looking at the mega conglomerate services you can find by doing a google search on the internet. Judging from the online reviews, I dodged that bullet and ordered my cards at Autumn Express.
The cards turned out looking crisp and professional. And they were cheap, and only printed the amount I wanted, about 100 cards. I received personalized service from Valerie, who helped guide me through the process. My cards were produced lickety-split in 24 hours. They are local and the paper is recycled, which gave my crunchy side good vibrations. I'll go back here as I need other business cards printed. -

On the morning of the day of my job interview, i realized i had run out of business cards. I was in panic as the HR person at our company wouldnt be able to produce reprints in that short of a time. So i yelped "business cards" and found these guys. Went there at noon with a business card of a co-worker so they could copy the design and company logo. Val (the girl that works there) designed and printed it in 4 hours and I was able to get it right before my interview.
It wasnt a 100% exact match but close enough (i'd say a 90% match)

We ordered and printed our wedding invitations here and couldn't be happier. We chose the treeless paper from Nepal and they are beautiful! Our invitations included the outer envelope, the decorative folded invite, the printed invite page, an RSVP card, RSVP envelope, and directions. We had everything printed except the decorative portion, which is a keepsake.
Our wedding celebrates sustainability, so the Nepalese treeless paper really worked for us. Our wedding is vegan, alcohol free in Mendocino, and we are like, totally not hippies. Valerie really got us. I wanted a pretty straight forward, non-barfy font to go with my non-barfy wedding invite, and she picked a font immediately that worked with the wording and the invite. Other brides who came in and saw what we selected were kinda jealous, they are so pretty.
The proof and print process was super efficient. Valerie was patient while I made changes and they got all my international addresses done perfectly.
I love autumn express and we will be back to get our thank you cards, baby announcements, and whatever else we need here.
Valerie is totally great, I suggest going in and talking to her if you have questions. I am a very nervous, high strung bride who is literally hating on the wedding process, and she really helped me work through my questions and concerns in a helpful but no-nonsense kind of way. It was perfect.
If you do get invitations done here remember to get them hand canceled at the post office as the lovely paper may not appreciate the cancel machine at the post office.

Autumn Express is the best print shop in San Francisco. Great find on Yelp and there's a reason for all the 5 star ratings. Valerie is very passionate about her work. She is detailed, quick and extremely friendly. She did a beautiful job printing new resumes and the price was very reasonable. I've already been back three times this week for more printing. Highly recommend and I won't go anywhere else!!!

Last month, I emailed Autumn Express a Word file containing my new and long overdue business/personal calling card. They quickly emailed back a proof as an Adobe PDF file. They printed my cards exactly as expected for a reasonable price. Both their printing quality and quality of service was excellent. I got 50 cards for $17.50. Yes, I possibly could have gotten my cards printed even less expensively via some web based service or maybe by some large corporation like FedEx Office. Maybe or maybe not. Regardless, it wouldn't matter because I prefer to support local businesses especially ones that do good work.

This place is good, but definitely overrated on Yelp. Yes, Valerie is very friendly and will get your work done on time. But she did some quickie design work for us that I was really not happy with... it looked like something I could have created for myself using cheesy Microsoft templates and clipart. Also, some of my postcards were poorly cut so that they were printed slightly askew on the card... it just didn't look square. If you are looking for top quality professional work, I would definitely go to one of the larger shops. If you are on Mission Street and need something fast, then go here.

My mom, husband and I planned a last minute wedding reception for my friends and family in Texas. See, we eloped and now have to have a bunch of parties. I needed to get invites printed and fast. I called up a few places, most with 5 day turnaround minimum. Bummer. I wanted a green printer too, I finally found Autumn Express on Yelp and gave her a call. Not only does Valerie promise one-day turnaround and recycled paper from a reputable paper company she also had the best price in town! It's really as good as it gets. I will definitely tie my pony outside this store again.

This business is a rare find! I was in a tight position to turn around a business card order and located Autumn Press on Yelp. Valerie has been amazing. She is quick to respond and provide a proof. I have checked with multiple places and the price, service, and quality has given me the confidence to send additional business. I have not been disappointed. i would highly recommend Autumn Press. Again, individualized customer service is difficult to come by these days. Since my first order, Valerie has helped me with a few projects. She is very attentive to details and has amazing turn around times.
