Ok...so I read all the reviews for Autumn Express and decided this is where I want to get my business cards made. Like some other reviewers here, these were my first business cards and I DID NOT HAVE A CLUE about what I wanted! Valerie is great! I left it all up to her and within a hour or so, she had emailed me with proofs of business cards, and quickly I had a design that looks great!
I highly recommend this place! And I highly recommend Valerie! Go there!
I needed business cards in a flash, and Valerie served up some good looking cards for an awesome price. I will say that if you are looking for absolutely crisp, high-end business cards, I would maybe check elsewhere, but for price and turnaround time I think this place is great. Perfect if you need something done real fast.
One tip: make sure the print resolution (DPI) is at 600 if you are doing anything with graphics and colors, otherwise it might look a little grainy.

This place is good, but definitely overrated on Yelp. Yes, Valerie is very friendly and will get your work done on time. But she did some quickie design work for us that I was really not happy with... it looked like something I could have created for myself using cheesy Microsoft templates and clipart. Also, some of my postcards were poorly cut so that they were printed slightly askew on the card... it just didn't look square. If you are looking for top quality professional work, I would definitely go to one of the larger shops. If you are on Mission Street and need something fast, then go here.
So you can tell by the fact that this is my first review that I'm not really a Yelper, but AE was so good that I had to chime in. Being the kind of guy who will wait until the last minute for everything (I'm the jackass that keeps your Supershuttle waiting cos I'm still packing), it's great to have Valerie here to calmly say "Yes!" when I ask for some crazy, last-minute request. The print jobs have all turned out on-time and looking great, and at super-reasonable prices. I will continue to use AE for a long time to come.
The missing star is simply a personal anti-social tick of mine - I would prefer if the templates for each product type were available to download from the site, especially for things like cards. That being said, pick up the phone and Valerie will walk you through everything, whether you're a rook or a graphics veteran.
I needed my first set of business cards and started out by looking at the mega conglomerate services you can find by doing a google search on the internet. Judging from the online reviews, I dodged that bullet and ordered my cards at Autumn Express.
The cards turned out looking crisp and professional. And they were cheap, and only printed the amount I wanted, about 100 cards. I received personalized service from Valerie, who helped guide me through the process. My cards were produced lickety-split in 24 hours. They are local and the paper is recycled, which gave my crunchy side good vibrations. I'll go back here as I need other business cards printed.
This is a great printer that provides super quick turn around, very affordable prices and friendly service! Valerie is great; very helpful!!
Note that this is digital printing, not CMYK or offset printing, so the quality isn't quite the same. It is good quality, but just not as good as CMYK printing. Also, if you are printing double-sided, there can be some shifting in the lineup, which is something that happens with digital printing. However, the prices are great and the promise of 1 day turn around holds true. I highly recommend Autumn Express for your digital printing jobs!!
On the morning of the day of my job interview, i realized i had run out of business cards. I was in panic as the HR person at our company wouldnt be able to produce reprints in that short of a time. So i yelped "business cards" and found these guys. Went there at noon with a business card of a co-worker so they could copy the design and company logo. Val (the girl that works there) designed and printed it in 4 hours and I was able to get it right before my interview.
It wasnt a 100% exact match but close enough (i'd say a 90% match)

update: just got reviews back from others recieving our invites to universal high praise-- including 1 person whom has been a caterer for decades telling me it was "the nicest most precious invitation she has ever seen..." (bowing in gratitude) thank you Autumn Express!!! those napalese non-tree killing paper invites are amazing. Valerie thank you for all of your excellent help and assistance.

I would never have known they have been here for 5 years. Right near the BART station at 16th and Mission; a very convenient location for this print shop and gift store with an emphasis on Mexican goods.
It's a very large space, with lots of cool arts and crafts, gifts, cards, posters and other paper products.
I went in to purchase masks for me and my date to wear to the Yelp Masquerade party, and ended up buying 4- they were so cheap and highly entertaining.
A great resource.
My mom, husband and I planned a last minute wedding reception for my friends and family in Texas. See, we eloped and now have to have a bunch of parties. I needed to get invites printed and fast. I called up a few places, most with 5 day turnaround minimum. Bummer. I wanted a green printer too, I finally found Autumn Express on Yelp and gave her a call. Not only does Valerie promise one-day turnaround and recycled paper from a reputable paper company she also had the best price in town! It's really as good as it gets. I will definitely tie my pony outside this store again.

This business is a rare find! I was in a tight position to turn around a business card order and located Autumn Press on Yelp. Valerie has been amazing. She is quick to respond and provide a proof. I have checked with multiple places and the price, service, and quality has given me the confidence to send additional business. I have not been disappointed. i would highly recommend Autumn Press. Again, individualized customer service is difficult to come by these days. Since my first order, Valerie has helped me with a few projects. She is very attentive to details and has amazing turn around times.
Please help support this business! On top of great service...it is extremely affordable!
I have worked with many different print shops in the bay area over the past few years for short run print jobs. None was as fast and professional as Autumn Express. They even included 10 blank sheets of card stock for free.
Valerie sent me a quote within 24 hours and had my short run of full color pamphlets done within 2 days. There was no haggling over price, bait-and-switch, or condescension. (My interactions with print shops usually include at least two of these things.) Autumn Express is definitely worth the trip to a sketchy block on Mission St.
One caution: it's probably best to send them PDF files rather than native formats, since apparently they don't have all the Adobe Type Library fonts on their production equipment.
I wanted to write a review for Valerie who is the manager at Autumn Express. My mom recently had 500 business cards printed for her realty. Vaerie was really really great. She was super patient since my mom is a very picky person and asked her to keep reprinting the card and tweaking the picture, then the font, then little logos to make it just perfect. The card looks super professional. My mom even was trying to get the MLS logo on her card which she did not have with her and Valerie spent the time to look it up online! She also has a really great selection of personally made greeting cards in her shop. Kudos to Valerie!
First and foremost, Autumn Express is a real asset to the Mission community.
After searching around for printing places and getting frustrated with the lack of humanity... I found this one that actually has a human approach to conducting their business. Valerie, the owner, is not only cool and friendly but has an incredible disposition to help customers. I wouldn't have been able to do my wedding invitations if it weren't for her. She helped me with the design and of course the printing of the invitations from concept to reality. She helped me also to keep it affordable with out having any surprises or extra charges. She is truly a star! If you want to make your printing life easier go to her...Viva Autumn Express!!!
Valerie is very cool and friendly and efficient! This is a soulful printshop- the exact opposite of a kinkos. Autumn Express is fair trade and green, et cetera- and a local independent store!
Autumn Express is a gem! Unlike Kinko's or Office Depot, you're not dealing with idiots. They get the job done right! How many printers can you say that about?
My business cards printed on their digital printers look almost the same as the ones that I sent out to be printed and they cost me about a fraction as much. I was also able to get them within 48 hours instead of two weeks. And, I didn't have to order 10,000 to get a good price.
I love Autumn Express! Ask for Valerie. She is polite and has years of exprience doing this, which you won't find at the big chain places.
It's all about Quality and awesome awesome art.
