I tinted my CR-V here in 2001. When the car was sold a few days ago (2012), the tinting was still good. No bubble at all. Two scratches by myself a few years ago, thus two dots visible, but those scratches did not grow in years.
I am about to bring my new car there. Hopefully they are as good as 11 years ago, and the price has not gone up. -

I was soooooo happy to know that Auto Image was still up & running (you know it is a tough economy), but this place holds up b/c it's GOOOOOD. I finally got off my @$$ & had some limo tint slapped on my 2007 Tundra CrewMax & even my twin 18 month old boys were staring at it like it's the coolest thing. You better believe I'll be bringing in my 2004 Honda Civic & whatever cars I get from now on. Thanks Jeff & Auto Image!!
Btw, I had to sell my Infiniti & Mazda & whoever I showed the car too, they were like, "damn that tint looks brand new" & i had to tell them it was over 3 years old.2 Previous Reviews: Show all »

Auto Image Window Tinting offers punctual service, excellent product, and a great value. The tinting job on my 2012 Mercedes-Benz was exceptional. No flaws whatsoever. I am so pleased.
Based on my research, this is the best tinting shop in the Bay Area. Highly recommended without hesitation for any luxury or standard automobile. -

Professional establishment who did an excellent job redoing the tint on my windows after Zavala's tint shop in SF left me with lint and bubbles affixed to my window. I had Auto Image do all my windows tinted 35%, and everything came out super clean!

Got 35 3M all around on my new Jetta Sportwagen. I've never had tinting before, but my car stays cool and I have more privacy. I love it. The shop was very prompt, professional and I would highly recommend them.

Service: Tint 3M. 20% on the back. 35% on the front.
My ride looks pretty pimp now thanks to Auto Image Window Tinting. The guys here are extremely professional and do a phenomenal job. It took about three to four hours to complete but I was in no rush. Mike - the one we coordinated with, was honest and patient. I was really indecisive about my tint but he took me car to car showing me all different looks: from how a certain percentage looked in a particular lighting to a how a certain percentage looked in the sun. He was great! I finally decided on 20 in the back and 35 in the front. I was a little concerned that the drop-off would be drastic but Mike assured me it would be fine. When I rolled up to my car, I was so ecstatic. Practically no drop-off and It looks freaking awesome. They guarantee all their work as well.
I definitely recommend them! Prices are very competitive as well. Can't wait to get my S5 and bring it in to make it look just as gangsta! ;) -

I just got my 2011 Honda CR-Z done here!
I called in and I got an appointment on the same day! I went with 3M tint at 20% for the hatch and 2 small rear windows, looks great so far and now I just got to wait until it fully sets.
Got my car done within an hour and the pricing was great too!
I'd recommend this place to everyone. -

This place did an AWESOME job on my window tint. The place was very clean and the staff was very professional, especially mike. He was very helpful and very knowledgeable. I got 35 3M tint all around. It took a few hours to get my car done but when I rolled up to my car, I couldn't be more ecstatic. It looked PIMP and I'm lovin it. No air bubbles what so ever and they were even so professional that they locked my windows and even put tape on the button so that I won't roll my window down while I was letting it set and dry. Knowing my clumsy self, I totally would have rolled the windows down before letting it set.
I highly recommended Auto Image if you want an exceptional job done! -

I had a window broken out and just needed one window tinted. They set up the appointment quickly, it cost $45, was fast (during my lunch hour), and they also helped me out big time by taking off a SF parking permit for free.

The only ding is that they only accept appointments. Be sure to check into yelp to get an additional 10 bucks off. This is the only place I found that has 3m tint for a great price. I did my prius and they tinted 10 windows (4 small windows, 2 front door, 2 back door, and 2 trunk windows) for the lowest price in the bay area. I dropped my car at 9am and got it back at 11am. 2 thumbs up!!

I've been wanting to get a tint on my WRX for some time now but was hesitant because I wanted to make sure I found the right place. I read about Image on yelp and decided to go in and get a quote. Jeff was patient and showed me the tints and even went outside to show me what the sample looked like out in the sun and on my car. He quoted me a good price, less than some of the other shops I called. I made an appointment and he told me it would take three hours to do the job which it took exactly that long. Looks good so far. I can't wait until everything is dry so I can see the final results.

Window tinting, after market customizations, custom decals, windshield repair, blue tooth kits etc..
Jeff will hook you up!!!! This place is legit.
I was referred to this business from a car rental company after finding out a recent accident didn't cover repairs on an aftermarket power window. Long story short, Jeff hooked me up for a great deal.
The best part: a year later the power locks failed again. For FREE Jeff fixed it and I didn't even need to show him a receipt. -

They did a spot on job. I would recommend Auto Image to anyone that is willing to pay for good quality tint jobs. Anyone and everyone can tint, but only experts can make it look good. They made it look great. Jeff was helpful, responsive to emails, friendly, and went over all the little details. No BS, no hassle.

I love this place soooo much! I have gotten my tint done there before, and After having my car getting broken into, I got my window replaced and Jeff replaced my tint. He is such a nice guy and everyone there is great! I feel like they really know what they are doing, and care about the cars they work on. I have recommended many of my friends there. I dont think I will EVER go anywhere else for my future Tinting. I have NEVER had my tint fade, bubble or anything!

I really wanted to give this place a good review, but I had to go back more times then Nirvana has songs about heroin. On my first visit Mike, the installer told me all the window tinting protocol. I felt confident and left happy. I waited the required 2 days to let the tint dry (i actually waited over a week) I don't drive my car that often and wanted to give the tint ample time to dry.)
After the aforementioned week I went for drive and rolled my two front windows down. When i reached my destination I rolled them up. I noticed both my windows were cover in a sticky adhesive that I couldn't remove. I called Mike and informed him of my latest discover, he told me to bring it in. I also noticed my driver side door panel was not installed correctly. When I dropped it off Mike said, "no problem, give me an hour." Waited the hour and went back, oh and I had an awesome burrito while waiting, I'll totally Yelp it when I find out the name. After about 90 minutes I went back and the windows looked good. My confidence was shaken slightly but I still left happy.
Half way home, oh did I mention I live 25 minutes away? I notice the driver panel is still not in correctly and now there is insulation from the door slightly poking out from under the panel. I call Mike and I inform him, he sighs and says, "OK bring it back."
On my arrival back he fusses with the panel and has a really hard time getting it in correctly. Finally after about 30 more minutes he gets it in great. Mike is also probably one of the nicest people on earth, so I couldn't rightfully yell at him, though i really wanted to. This time I leave with no confidence left and hope that I don't have to ever see this place again.
Last Saturday I get in my car roll the window down and then back up. Surprise! there is more adhesive on the window. This time it's REALLY bad. It looks like someone dipped a paint brush in glue and hit the inside of my window with it. Now I'm f---ing pissed I have to hit the road AGAIN for a 50 min round trip to a guy that acts so kind I cant get the satisfaction of yelling at him, yet he continues to baffle me with mediocrity.
This time he needs two hours, because he has to replace two of the films that has been badly damaged did I mention the back windows started doing it too? I bring my cousin along who owns a body shop to do a final inspection, because at this point I'm weary, need a beer and a teary nap. After he points out further tint mistakes (one of the films was under cut and you can see around the window and a piece of dust that can be seen from a solid 6 feet away.) Now I just want to go home and it's apparent that Mike wants me gone. He makes statements like, 'Well you cant see the dust spot from this angle." and "Well we use a computer program to cut those films I don't know why it's like that, it's pretty hard to notice though."
I know no one is perfect, perhaps lightning struck and I was the only person ever to have this happen. But, c'mon fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, three, four times.....So, in summation I will NEVER go back, at this point I'll make my own arrangements. -

I called Jeff after reading through some reviews on Yelp. The quote I got from him was the best out of three I called. The first was higher than what I expected and the other weren't in and didn't bother to return my message. With all the 5 star reviews, I figured I couldn't go wrong. I made my appt and went when scheduled. Once I got there, they had samples of all the tints they offered already applied on a window display. I thought that was awesome and made my decision on which tint to use much easier. He told me between 2-3 hrs and in exactly 2.5 hrs, he called me to let me know the job was done.
I figured the cost would've been the estimate plus tax but another great surprise, the cost was all inclusive! Jeff did an excellent job on the tinting, delivered on the price and time frame promised. Recommended to all! -

Those are all the freckles I got while driving before Auto Image (the big one at the end is the melanoma that was bound to develop on my pallidness). And yeah, that is with spackle like sunblock on, I'm that melanin challenged.
Jeff took care of me with some nice 3M metallic film for a very reasonable price, and, ahhhhh, it's so much better.

Jeff Tom is a professional. I called several tint shops and Auto Image was competitive. I took my 06 Acura TL to him (last year) and he gave me a great deal on 5 windows and a sunroof. He has his young staff trained well in customer service and the tint job was great. I'll definitely be taking future cars to him.

I took my new Honda CRV in and had the five rear windows tinted. Used 15% tint, slightly darker than factory spec (20%).
Jeff Tom, owner, did an excellent job. My car was ready on time, his shop is neat and clean, he takes major credit cards. He provides written lifetime warranty and care sheet.
Did quality work, on time at reasonable price. -

Auto Image is the only place I'd go to for window tinting and paint protection! I've had two of my cars' windows tinted there, and it looks great! Most recently, I've gotten the windows tinted on my Honda Civic Coupe. I knew I wanted 5% on my back 3 windows and at Auto Image I was able to see the different percentages for window tints which was helpful when it came to deciding what percent to tint my front windows. I stayed while the tinting was done and Jeff and Joey worked on the car, and they did such a great job. They made sure there were no bubbles in the tint and took their time ensuring that the tint on my window was put on properly. I also had my tail lights blacked out. Again, while my tail lights were being blacked out Jeff and Joey took their time to cut the tint precisely to the size of my tail lights, and it looks amazing! I couldn't be happier with my tail lights and my tint. They also offer paint protection, which I currently have just on my doors, But it is helpful since I don't have door guards I'm always worried that I might ding the edge of my doors. The strip is clear and blends in, it does not even look like I have anything on there, but I know my doors are protected with the paint protection strips! Finally, Jeff also place carbon fiber on my Honda emblem. I watched as he did it and he worked carefully on fully covering my emblem. It looks great because now my grill is all black. With all that I have had done with my car at Auto Image, I absolutely love it, and I know that it will last!
When I was there I was treated in a very professional manner. All the staff members are nice and very knowledgeable with all the products they have to offer. The shop is clean and well organized, and it has examples of the different tint shades to help customers decide which tint to chose for their car. The owner Jeff is extremely nice and helpful. He treats customers with such respect, and you know that he takes pride in all his customers! Him and the other staff members work efficiently and meticulously when tinting windows. I would continue to go back to Auto Image to get more work done on my car.
I would highly recommend this window tinting place to anyone looking to get it done. You will not be disappointed! I would only trust Auto Image with my window tinting and paint protection! -

I've taken any car i've needed tint on to Jeff. From my first high school car to my current commuter mobile. Prices are pretty normal for the work done, but not as much as i've heard from some other spots.

a pet peeve about my new ride from Toyota, no factory alarm.
but since I know Jeff Tom, the owner of Auto Image is one of the very best at installing auto security systems in the Bay Area, it was the a no-brainer to see him to have a Clifford alarm installed. The job was clean and done on time as promised. The installation is warrantied for life. How can you beat that?! Quality product with top notch service. Oh, and he does fantastic window tinting too. Auto Image tinted one of other cars and it came out perfect.

I took my car to Jeff for window tinting and a Sirius radio installation. Jeff was professional at all times even we I ended up taking the car to him more than once because the stupid Sirius wouldn't work with the usual set up. He finally figured out what the problem was and didn't even charge me for the extra work.

I found Auto Image here on Yelp and decided to try it out because of all the positive reviews. I have to say that the Yelpers are right! Jeff & the team did a really nice job tinting my car windows. Plus, not only are they professional about things, they're friendly and won't try to rush you like other places I've been to.

had my E92 done 35% all around with SunTek Carbon series. this and the 3M is the ones they offer with life-time warranty.
I went with Suntek cuz it was bit cheaper.
Mike even put in a free Carbon Sticker lay-over for my BMW emblem.
good service and clean garage.
They also do decals/stickers professionally. Highly recommended. -

In a nutshell:
*Called a day in advance for an appointment and was quoted $250 for a 2005 Honda Accord. Friendly guy who answered the phone.
*Showed up in the morning, told them I wanted 35% tint on all the front, passenger and rear window, dropped off the car at their nice quiet location.
*Picked up the car about 4 hours later and they explained to me what not to and what to normally expect after they tinted the windows.
*Very friendly staff and the tint has a life-time warranty which is cool.
I recommend this place to anyone. Customer service plays a BIG part when it comes to anything related to auto shops. -

Jeff @ Auto Image provides consistent high quality workmanship at a reasonable price. He is also a nice guy that is easy to get along with. He is also honest with his quotes, meets his dealines and doesn't promise service that he can't deliver.
I have had window tinting done in 2 vehicles, an alarm install with door locks, custom 8 speaker stereo install with head unit and two amps, tachometer install, fog light kit install and superwhite headlight/LED marker light install done by him and have had nothing but good experiences. -

Jeff and Mike did a good job. I would definitely recommend this place.
Pros:
- Reasonable price
- Jeff and Mike are knowledgeable and friendly. Jeff even informed me about the paint job that I failed to discover before I purchased the vehicle (and previous owner failed to disclose)
- They kept their schedule. The job was completed in 2 hours as promised.
Cons:
- I noticed cracks on both side windows and made a second visit to the shop. It turned out one crack was on the screen, and the other crack was actually on the window itself, which is a "pre-existing condition". But they replaced both sides free to charge anyway. -

What about Paint Protection Film?? Don't allow the front end of your car to get beat up by rocks and pebbles flying on Bay Area freeways. Protect that front end paint job with Paint Protection Film.
I corresponded with Jeff by e-mail about a film kit I saw on eBay. With his guidance, I acquired the material and took it to Jeff along with my BMW X5 and Jeff did the installation in a few hours. His price for the installation was quite reasonable.
It looks great and I can tell you I priced this service elsewhere and it was more than twice what I ended up paying after combining the cost of the film and the installation fee.
Thank you Jeff for a job well done. I appreciate you collaborating with me on this project. I couldn't be more satisfied with the outcome. -

I took my car to get my windows tinted here. They did a great job at a reasonable price. I took my sister's car here too 3 years ago and got a great deal on this car.
They took like 2 hours to get 7 windows done and it came with a lifetime guarantee and he used 3M film. Yeah, it's a little pricey, but the job quality is second to none. I'd rather pay a little extra now than pay less and have to deal with bubbling or discoloration. -

I had my car broken into and just needed one window tinted. Yelped places in my area and I ended up here. They matched it up with diff samples till I thought it was perfect. Took about a half hour to do the job and my car is back to normal, I'm happy :)

I recently purchased 08 mazdaspeed 3 and wanted to lightly tint the windows. I made an appoitment and dropped off my car at lunch and picked it up after work.
I chose the 3m film for all the windows - 35% all around.
I am very happy with the results - Excellent job. I am very happy - $200 Well Spent. Pics are coming. -
