Through a persona mistake I ordered online twice. Not only did my delivery person call me to let me know the order didn't go through but the restaurant itself called me to double check. Excellent customer service. Pizza was good too!

Pizza is always alright. Parking sucks. Door ding central unless you park further away and/or take 2 parking spots.

Besides that, there is one hot delivery girl that works there.

I order from Austin's Pizza because it seems healthier than all the other chains and Mangia is too far away.

That said I'm usually all roght with their pizza but we tried something different tonight and ordered the bbq chicken.

It tasted like hard chicken with dried bbq sauce on cardboard.

We tried the bacon cheeseburger pizza too.  Less dry due to it having tomato sauce on it.

So be careful of what you order. I f you order off the menu, know what kind of crust you are gettting and that it may be dry due to limitations of moisture in the sauce you get on it.

I really really wish someone would open up a good hand tossed traditional pizza place around here in south austin. Till then we may try dominoes out of desperation and my friends tell me that they've revamped their menu. Worth a try to not have cardboard pizza.

I had a really unfortunate experience with Austin's Pizza on Friday. I made an order online for a large veggie pie around 3:00 p.m. for a 5:30 delivery time...but then realized after I hit the submit button that (eek!) they were going to queue it up right then and there. So, I called them directly to let them know that I didn't want the pie to be there until 5:30 p.m.; I was just setting up the order early because I was going to be on a boat cruise on Town Lake with my husband and the babysitter and my 5 year old son would need something to eat for dinner. This is all to say, I talked to them in person. After they looked up the order, they assured me it would be all set for 5:30 p.m. and it was all set. The babysitter and my son were happy to hear they'd be getting a treat as we went out the door for the evening. Well, at a few minutes to 6 p.m. I get a cell phone call while on the water, in a boat that I can not commandeer because it's got 60 other people on it. They aren't going to deliver the pizza because I live "out of service range." Okay, then why didn't they tell me this earlier? Or when I placed the online order? Or at any point BEFORE I could not pick up a dinner alternative for my hungry five year old and babysitter? Not to mention, they kept claiming that it was impossible for them to go to my house; apparently, like the movie Speed, their cars have ticking time bombs on them that don't allow them into my neighborhood, even if it means a 5 year old and teenager go hungry because they had ALREADY promised to deliver the pie; not to mention they had made the pizza, so they decided to throw it out, rather than deliver it to my home, which was is less than a few miles away (no joke). I was pretty angry, obviously, since I was stuck without many options and my poor kid and his patient babysitter had already been waiting for close to an hour when I finally gave up...they had offered to give me a refund at the end of the day. Wow, gee, you think??? I guess with service like this, I'll be a big chain pizza girl from now on, unless I happen to be near Homeslice or Little Deli.

I've ordered Austin's Pizza on several different occasions now, and every time without fail it's been a pretty lousy dining experience. The cheese and toppings are so so and the crust is consistently tough, chewy and just downright unpleasant to eat, which is a pretty big deal breaker when it comes to me and pizza. The fact that it's a little on the pricier side and the delivery is slower than David Crosby on a tricycle hasn't really helped sway my opinion either.

I almost always eat local, since it's usually a good bit better than going to a national chain restaurant (as opposed to Austin pizza, which is just a LOCAL chain restaurant), but in this case I actually think Dominoes and Pizza Hut both have way better products. Sorry. Or better yet I'll just call the one location, neighborhood pizza delivery place down the street from me. I've been eating there for a good while and it's consistently blown everyone else I just listed out of the water. It sure is great to have options.

I love Austin's Pizza! I actually get kinda upset when my hubby makes me order delivery from anywhere else. They aren't the cheapest pizza (that's why sometimes we don't order from them) in town but I love their pizza and I love supporting local businesses too!

I've tried all their pizzas except the gluten-free and had salads and everything else too. I love that they have anchovies- OMG that just makes me so happy! They usually deliver in less time then they guestimate delivery and usually exactly within in their window when it's a busy dinner rush. All of the delivery drivers have been nothing but nice and friendly and even let my crazy dogs sniff them up and down. : ) This is a cool sign of a delivery driver if you ask me- Austin delivery drivers should be cool with dogs because nearly everyone in Austin has a dog. We usually pay by credit card so I've never had any tip issues like I read in a previous post.

I love you Austin's Pizza and I can't wait to eat you again but I can only give you 4 stars because sometimes you are too pricey : /

I love everything about this place but (1) being that they make up the BEST gluten free pizza in town.

The ingredients are healthy and no preservatives and they have always bent over backwards to help me out.

we ordered a HUGE assortment for my daughter's 5th birthday part for delivery and the guys on wm cannon gave me a couple free pizzas plus some coupons for free pizza in the future, threw in some morrrre coupons and were so friendly about helping me make it as convenient as possible (despite how ungodly picky and large the order was)

cant wait to try the southpark meadows location!

i only take off one star bc; what is UP with those ridiculously uncomfortable wooden benches/tables at every location?

unless they were widdled by local, blind kid raising money for charity, i just don't see the point in those things!

So, after a not-so-thrilling anti-customer service experience.  I decided to give these guys a try.  Plus, they deliver so I didn't have to lug my 16 month old daughter into the car to go pick anything up (bonus).

The pizza arrived very hot and fresh.  Another plus was the fact that they had a whole wheat crust option.  However, the bigger thing was that the pizza was actually good.....  I liked it better than the usual suspects (dominos, pizza hut, etc) and I am sure that we will go here again.

OH....and the 16 month old gave it two thumbs up.....she enjoyed it very much!

A computer, an Internet connection, a steady source of income and you never have to leave your house.
Not only do you never have to leave your house, but you never have to speak to a Human Being ever again.  I've researched this.  You can have groceries delivered from netgrocer, books from amazon and movies from netflix.  But there's more isn't there?  Oh, there is going to be more isn't there Mr. Cady? Your not going to stop until your satisfied.

For an absolutely wonderful human free friday night, here is my suggestion:
Order a movie on-line and while the opening credits are rolling go to http://austinpizza.com.  In the upper right hand corner of the home page you'll see the words "order now", click on them.    Now, either order one of the specialties or click on "build your own".
I build my own.  First I pick the size, let's do a 14er.  Then the crust, ah...wheat. Let's top it with tomatoes, garlic, artichoke hearts, black olives and a little sprinkle of mozzarella.  Now scroll down and pick the sauce.  I'm gonna click on the vine-ripened tomato sauce.  Let's scroll back to the top and take a look at our order.  If everything looks good, hit the little circle next to delivery and then give the checkout button some love. Enter your address and credit card info and your done.

If you really don't want to talk to a human, just leave a note on the door with a tip that says something like "hey pizza guy... please knock loudly and leave my pizza at the door,  THX
Close the Austin pizza window and continue to enjoy your movie.  You should be into the second or third preview by now and your pizza will be there shortly.

Another reason why I love where I live - Austin's Pizza is a short 10 minute bicycle ride away.

Yea I know it is crazy that I want to ride my bike to a pizza place that delivers.  But, I love to ride my bike and the extra calories burned justifies an extra slice of pizza!

I like the crust and the toppings are always fresh.  My favorite is the Farmers Market - loaded with veggies and cheese for only 9.99 and I usually get coupons for 2.00 off in the mail which makes for an even better deal.

Okay, so here's the good stuff:
+ you can place your order online! Yippee! I love this feature.
+ Lots of toppings to choose from
+ probably better than your average Domino's or Pizza Hut
+ it's pizza, how bad can it be, really?

Unfortunately, I have been spoiled by Homeslice and East Side Pies. So in comparison, Austin's Pizza can't compete.

It will however, be my go-to place when I am home watching the Bachelor or Project Runway and just want something delivered.

Stopped by here on the way home today. Customer service was friendly and 5 star. Unfortunately, the pizza tasted like REALLY good Mr. Gatti's to me. Like Mr. Gatti's of long ago . . . 20 + years ago . . . not what they serve and call pizza today.  And I'm not saying it's a bad thing to go down a gastronomical memory lane. I guess I was just expecting something more. Pepperoni topping was sparse, as well. And just two sizes?

If I lived close enough for delivery, I'd probably put these guys in rotation to keep it interesting.

But I don't think I'll be stopping by again. The parking lot is just too wonky to get in and out of easily; if you miss the entrance by Hollywood Video you have to enter by Firestone and cross two sets of speed bumps. or three. And the "compact car only" parking stresses me out. I own what would be considered a small compact car and I don't even fit in those well. Then someone else comes along who doesn't give a crap about their car and parks millimeters from me.  Just not worth the risk.

Pretty good pizza, actually.  I order from here periodically, and haven't been disappointed.  The delivery service is quick, the driver's polite, and it  seems to always end up cheaper than Papa John's, Conan's, or Mangia.

It's not as good as Mangia, Conan's, East Side Pies, or similar high end chains, but it delivers to my house, it's local, and they have beer if I choose to go to the restaurant.

The chicken wings are surprisingly good - it's no Plucker's, but hell, it ain't bad either!

While on the pricier side, Austin's Pizza has the best specialty pizzas and the widest variety of pizza toppings I've seen. If I order from Austin's, I get the Mediterranean with Spinach, Kalamata olives, red onions, artichoke hearts, garlic, Roma tomatoes & feta.

I'm cheap and don't like to splurge with a delivery charge and tip, so I usually carry out, but hey, Austin's was voted Best Delivery in the Austin Chronicle's 2009 Restaurant poll. Pretty sweet!

do i wish DD's had spinach/mushroom pizza rolls?! yes!
do i wish DD's had lunch specials on their awesome rolls?! YES!

but they don't. and i wasn't at DD's. so i tried austin's pizza's rolls for the 2nd time today. not bad... both the pizza rolls and marinara are flavorful. the rolls are small, which makes it so easy to devour more than you need to. one good thing about it- you don't have to worry about the inevitable grease leakage as you would with DD's (and yes, i know i ordered veggie, i'm just sayin)

It took longer than the proposed 45 minutes for my pizza to be delivered, which I would have easily forgiven, except for the fact that as soon as the driver handed me my pizza box, and I handed him the $20.00 dollar bill for a 16.50 pizza, he simply turned and walked away.  I had full intentions of tipping him, but for him to assume the tip is not good.  From my experience, Austin's Pizza is better than this, so I hope this doesn't happen again.

I am new to Austin. I have only been here since October. I've ordered pizza twice since living here. Once from some other place and once from Austin's.  I have to say that Austin's is DELICIOUS!  I am not one of those people that is obsessed with pizza, but I like it.  This is as good as it gets!  The crust was thick and doughy the way I like it. The toppings were plenitful and the taste was outstanding. I like that you can order a personal 10 inch pizza (about the size of CPK pizza).  I live alone, so a giant pizza always goes to waste. This was just enough for dinner one night and lunch the next day.....and just oh so good!
The delivery was fast and I was able to order online, so I like that. The only reason that I didn't give Austin's 5 stars is because it is a little pricey. I ordered a 10 inch pizza with 3 toppings and a  brownie and  with tip, it was over $20.  It's definitely a splurge and not your everyday pizza place, but it tastes much better than your everyday pizza place and I couldn't really ask for more!
