I am so grateful for the day I have spent with Angel and Austin on Lake Travis. After a long and hectic week (month really), the pair at Austin's Boat Tours have helped me achieve complete relaxation by taking care of EVERYTHING on our tour.
Between Angel's extremely courteous and thorough demeanor and Austin's laid back Captain attitude our excursion ran flawlessly from start to finish. After some discussion sorting out the details with Angel, we arrived at the agreed time at the dock and were greeted with warm smiles and a clean and modern vessel. We cruised around and on over to the place where we dropped anchor and soaked up rays and cocktails.
The couple could not have been more professional while also being very friendly. I've gone out with other boat companies and been satisfied, but never had the stellar experience that Austin Boat Tours has given me.
Would I use them again? Yes, and already have it in the books! Would I recommend them to my boss, client, coworker, friend, or family? I feel it would be a disservice not to share my discovery.
This really is the only way to experience the Lake, by letting someone else take the helm for you and relaxing the day away!! -

I have rented ABT for both personal and business events. Austin and Angel are professional and have very reasonable rates.
They handle everything. They got our groceries and beer for the event and were there to cook and toss beers to us while we floated in Lake Travis.
I have rented from several other boat companies on Lake Travis, but none rival the service and quality of ABT. My company has already booked 2 events for 2012! -

They say it's your birthday! And in Austin, what do we do? We rent a big ol boat, grab some booze, squash into your most flattering swimsuit and go out on the lake for a couple of hours to carouse and pretend we're on vacation.
So a friend rented this pontoon boat deal. Small cabin, seats about 14, BYO food and booze. Having only been on massive party boats, I didnt know what I was geting into. So here's the skinny:
If you're at south shores marina, bring something that rolls for your stuff. Or smaller ice chests. There is loooooong sidewalk that takes you down the the shores. If you're on a pontoon boat with Chris, you're all set. The man was hilarious and generally enhanced the experience. You can tell he's loving what he does. Imagine on those big party boats... you're out in the water needing a beer. What do you do? You pull your butt up to the boat and get one. Chris will pour your cocktail or grab you a beer and hand it to you out of the boat. Then cook all your food. Perfect man? Perhaps.
Anyway, it was a small party with good food, good company and a rooftop area we could jump off of. A group of about 14 of us rented a party boat from these folks last weekend to go to a very large, very naked party at Hippie Hollow. Our captain was Austin and he was very efficient, very nice, and very laid back despite the craziness that was going on around him (his job has some perks for sure!).
In a drought season like we are having, renting from these folks takes all the worry out of playing on the lake. I have read some recent reviews for other rental companies and lots of people complain about the long staircase down to the marina, due to the water being so low. Can't really fault a company for that, right? Weellll, ABT docks out of South Side (or Shore?) Marina near Carlos n Charlies and they have beautiful wide-spaced concrete stairs leading down as well as a RAMP so you can wheel your 50 lb over ladened cooler down easily. I can't tell you what a relief that was!
Also, a drought means its a lot trickier to anchor, especially when you are in a crowded space with lots of other boats and people already in the water, etc. With Austin in charge, we had nothing to worry about, cept getting sunscreen in all those hard to reach places :). We partied and drank and played like teenagers, never having to worry about anything. Austin just hung out on the boat and was as unobtrusive as possible, altho he was cute enough that we were wishing he was joining us in the fun!
A couple of other perks with their boat: they have a slide (make sure there's plenty of water on it before sliding down nekkid! ouch!), they have an ipod dock so I was able to play my "Booty Playlist" and had everyone in a two boat radius dancing, and they have a nice grill (and seasonings!) that Austin will cook or assist with, and the smell of fajitas cooking was the envy of all the other sun-drenched partiers on the other rentals.
My only complaint about the company is, my friend who was in charge of this rental had a mix up on dates, not sure if it was on her end or theirs but she tried to call several times, e-mailed, and left several messages in a panic and was not contacted back for several days. Long enough to where we were thinking this company was not legit and maybe we should book with someone else (altho I looked them up on here and it was somewhat reassuring to see all the good reviews). I'm sure they are very busy during the summer and it may be just the two running the business, but take a sec to respond to a panicky client!
Despite that, I highly recommend these folks for all your naked lake party needs!Listed in: The Great Outdoors!!

Austin's Boat Tours was a great time. Our driver (fittingly named Austin) took care of us, down to grilling the burgers as well as maneuvering through boats of bikini clad Texas girls and bootie bumping jet skis.
Tough job.
It was his second group that day.
So after hating Austin for his life, our bachelor party crew anchored right in the middle of one of Lake Travis' bays, and the party came to us.
With a slide on our pontoon, I don't t know why it wouldn't have. I wish I could say we had the loudest speakers, but there was one boat that crushed it.
A great time, a great crew between Angel and Austin. Thanks for taking care of us. -

These guys are awesome!!!
We went out with just a party of 8 on one of those party boats. It was actually the perfect amount of people for a boat that size.
We had a captain and he took us to Devils Cove. While when swam, they cooked the fajitas we brought on board with us. They took care of us well!
We had such an excellent experience and had one of the funnest times with some of my best friends! -

Austin Boat Tours Rule! Went out for our first time yesterday on their double decker and had a blast! We had about 15 people on the boat and I can gladly say that everyone enjoyed themselves.
Austin and Angel are AWESOME! They took care of everything, grilled all the food we brought with us and made it to where I didnt have to worry about anything!
We went for the later time slot (5pm-9) and I was worried that it would be cold, but the water was perfect for swimming, no one got sun burned and the sunset on the lake was gorgeous!
I hope this review helps anyone who's trying to plan a fun time on the lake. There are a ton of different companies out there, but after our experience yesterday I sincerely recommend Austin and Angel at Austin Boat Tours. I wish the day hadn't ended and I can't wait to book with them again! -

I'm honestly surprised that no one else has yelped about this awesome alternative to renting boats on Lake Travis. You get all the benefits of a small boat rental (for up to 15 people) - plus a designated driver who will even grill your food for you! And they pick you up wherever on the lake you want. Or if your heart desires, they'll pick you and your friends up in a van and take you to the lake. And did I mention that they are dog friendly?
I found out about the duo that runs this little business (Austin and Angel, really nice folks) on a blog post about a party cove cab - I'm sure many of you are familiar with http://365thingsaustin.... Well it advertised a way to hang out on the lake without the risk of boating while intoxicated. This got me really excited as I was the designated driver the last time my friends and I rented a boat. I didn't have a problem refraining from alcohol, but I did have trouble keeping 14 rowdy individuals from jumping off while the motor was on... among other things.
So this was a real treat. I wanted one more boat outing this year before it cooled off too much so this past weekend, they picked us up at Carlos and Charlie's and took us to Devil's Cove. While we swam and hung out, they took pictures, watched our food on the grill, and were nothing but sweet. The boat was nice and roomy with an air-conditioned little cabin and a roof to jump off of.
They catered to us for a solid 6 hours on the water and we got off paying around the same per person price that some of the huge party barges charge. It was an amazingly positive experience and I can't wait to party again with them again next summer, so long as not too many people find out about them ;) -

These guys are so great!! Angel and Austin were so sweet. Me and 12 other people went out on the smaller of their two boats. They let us hook up our ipod, and party the whole time. They were soooo nice and they cooked all of our food for us. Actually it was just Angel with us at the beginning, and when Austin was done with the last group on the big boat, he brought it over, tied the two together and we got to party on both! It really was an excellent experience, and we will definitely be renting out one of the boats later in the summer (hopefully the big one) Pricing was perfect, we got to use our own ipods, and they cooked our food. Also the fact that they will come get us from another location is beyond awesome, will have to use that next time so we can pre-party at Carlos n' Charlies or something. I totally recommend them for anyone who wants to enjoy the lake to the fullest, without someone having the responsibility of being the driver.
