A time-line of my experiences with Dr Dan:

    1.  Several years ago, a close friend met Dan through a volleyball league and highly recommended him for back pain.  He had said that Dan helped him tremendously, mostly through rehab exercises and highly recommended him... even though I wasn't really having back problems.

    2.  A little over three years ago I saw that another friend (Jonathan B) has written a 5-star yelp review for Dan.  I'm not sure where his review went, but I don't see it here (odd).

    3.  About 3 years ago, another close friend (Katie A) was having back problems and had seen seen several doctors with no relief.  I put her in touch with Dan and he helped her tremendously.  She wrote an outstanding 5-star review for Dan on yelp but has since retired her yelp account (and thus her review disappeared).  I still talk to Katie often and she still raves about what a great experience she had with Dan... how he listened to her and her specific situation and rather than giving her a "canned" answer (as was the case with other doctors), Dan developed a program specifically for Katie and her pain.

    4.  Last year, just a couple of weeks before I was to take a VERY long overseas trip, I developed neck and back problems.  I wasn't looking forward to nearly 24 hours of travel time while experiencing pain.  So I FINALLY had the opportunity to visit Dan.

My experience was outstanding.  Dan asked a lot of questions and listened intently to my answers regarding the pain and my goal of a pain-free trip overseas.  Dan catered a program that combined chiropractic work and rehab... and it helped quite a bit in a short period of time.  Given the progress I was seeing, I am confident that I would have been 100 percent in just a few weeks.

I didn't have a few weeks and so Dan suggested drastic measures so as to meet my pain-free travel goal and deadline... he referred me to doctor whom gave me a shot.

    5.  During one of my visits to Dan, I randomly ran into an old friend as she was leaving Dan's office.  She said that she and her husband were going to have a big party that weekend and that she had LOTS of preparing to do, but that she woke up that morning and could hardly move.  She found Dr Dan through yelp and was literally raving about how that one visit (it was her first visit) had made her almost pain-free.  She was literally waving her hands around and jumping up and down with excitement... and going on and on about how she couldn't move when she came in and that it was a miracle.

So yes, I do indeed highly recommend Dan to anyone who has back pain.  He's a great guy and an excellent physician.

    Dr. Bockmann is AWESOME!

I was in terrible and constant pain after the birth of my second child. Two C-sections, a bad fall and the strain of lugging two kids under 2 and all their gear rendered me almost unable to walk, barely able to stand and completely unable to live my life or do much for my kids. I was miserable; in pain and had shooting numbness and weakness. The strong drugs my MD gave me only offered me minimal relief and rendered me unable to do anything.

I was a little reticent to try chiropractic care - everybody knows somebody with a quacky story about one leg being longer than the other or practitioners that drag out treatment for years. SO NOT THE CASE HERE!

I really felt like Dr. Bockmann understood my individual needs and cared about them too. I was impressed by his positive energy, precise questions, quick diagnosis and easy competence. He explained everything in technical manner that was nonetheless easy to understand. After the first visit, I had a clear idea of what was wrong and what my treatment plan would be. We set goals and talked about how I could prevent future back pain.

I'm not in great shape and thought I would feel intimidated by the "sport" part of the practice - not at all. I met patients at all levels of fitness all working toward individualized goals. Older people, young people, ridiculously fit people and heavy people like me were all there working, whining and getting better.

I felt 50 times better after my first visit and I felt better with every trip. Within the first week I was able to stand up straight again and move without constant pain. I slept better and was able to carry my kids again.

Danny the physical therapist and the rest of the staff is great too. I really enjoyed my visits here. The physical therapy room is relaxed and comfortable. I was usually one of 3 or 4 people working out there. It WAS work but the results were amazing and amazingly fast. I just can't rave enough about these great people!  I got my life back after months of misery! I'm telling all my mom-friends! There is no need to be in pain when there is such amazing help available!

I've been going to Dr. Dan for about 4 years now, occasionally for acute pain when injuries occur, as well as routine maintenance here and there.

Dr. Dan really listens, has a great bedside manner, takes his time with patient care, and remembers your medical history even if you haven't been in for a year.  The clinic's approach is a mix of chiro, physical therapy, and rehab, with the goal of getting you active in your life (and/or your sport) as fast as possible, and keeping you healthy.  The goal is not just symptom relief or avoidance, but problem solving and maintenance.  Dr. Dan also emails instruction sheets with at-home exercises that you can do on your own or between appointments.  Added bonus -- office is very pleasant, staff are friendly, appointments always run on time.

I've had a brief but meaningful absence from Yelp recently due to an as-yet unidentified knee injury. I called for an appointment based on advice in the Talk threads, and I was not disappointed. I hobbled in here with help from Maitre D., as I couldn't walk on my own, after going days without a decent night's sleep due to the pain.

After some tests and an immediate start with a physical therapy regimen, I was already feeling a bit stronger and more hopeful about recovery, if not a bit more sore, too. I've now got a personalized plan of attack, and Dr. Bockmann was willing to help me work around my financial limitations, too.

When I first began having difficulty walking, I was terrified that treatment would be unaffordable or inaccessible. But, not so. They were even able to schedule me within a day of my call. Plus, most gratifying of all, Dr. Bockmann doesn't seem to see his patients as faceless dollar signs or unimportant hassles in his day.

The more cynical among you (like me) might think this is just something put-on to improve business, but his genuine concern for patients comes through undeniably when you see how he manages multiple patients in the physcal therapy room. He takes care with each person and listens without giving the impression that you need to hurry up so he can move on -- even if there are a half dozen people in the room and he really *does* need to move on. A truly nice and encouraging doctor who will give you hope. Now that's something I like in a healthcare provider!

Also, his office is currently helping me hook up an MRI for about 1/3 the usual cost. What!

I'll update my review once I get a better picture of what's going on with my knee and whether or not things improve in the long term.

When I first came to Dr. Bockmann, I had severe pain in my neck on the right side that shot all the way down into my arm.  I couldn't turn my neck in the slightest bit.  Dr. Dan was kind enough to see me on an emergency basis and started my healing process immediately.

After the first time that I saw him I had immediate relief from the pain and had more mobility in my neck.  Each session I progressed with unbelievable speed & couldn't believe the relief that I had in my neck pain.  After 4 sessions I have completely healed and am so thankful for Dr. Dan's help.

When I first visited Dr. Bockmann, I was experiencing severe pain in my shoulder and neck.  I was having trouble turning my head, and at one point I felt some tingling in my arm.  My husband and a friend of mine are current patients of Dr. Bockmann's, so I thought I'd give it a go.

After my consultation and a few x-rays, Dr. Bockmann did some adjustments and suggested some physical therapy and homework.
I did have some anxiety about the adjustments.  I wasn't sure how I'd feel about getting my neck cracked.  It was surprising, but not painful at all.  I actually kind of like it now.

My neck pain is now completely gone.  I'm getting monthly adjustments and doing my "homework" to keep me pain-free.
