Best seafood on the upper OBX that I've found. This "shack" is run by an older couple that really beam with Southern hospitality. The prices are fair and the quality is excellent.
They stock many local fishes, so if you're looking to grill up some Mahi Mahi or some tuna, go nuts. Unless I find a better shop closer to Corolla, I'll continue to make the trek. -

Service was unusually slow. We stood around inside waiting while one of the owners sat outside having a beer. After knocking on the employees only door we finally found someone to come out and help us.
Seafood looked okay, but not super fresh. At least they were open later than all nearby seafood shops so we could pick up some crab. The crab was quite pricey though, but quite good when we cooked it. -

Our first night in town and after lunch out we decided to grill in for dinner. We stopped in this seafood market and were pleasantly surprised. I'm used to seafood departments in grocery stores that reek of fish even before you get to the counter.
They had an awesome selection of fresh fish at half the grocery store price. Best of all, the fish was so fresh it had no smell at all!! We had a fresh grilled swordfish steak and red snapper dinner for $15 and change! We will be going again to try some other varieties of fish before our vacation is over.
