Austin Simply Fit is simply great! I've been working with Bonnie for about two months and I am already seeing serious results. Not only am I getting stronger, I also have more energy, have less problems with my knees on runs, and am looking better in those skinny jeans!
I've never been a super fit person, but I've always been pretty active. This summer, I started getting really into running (completing my first half-marathon next month), but I was still intimidated of the weight room at the gym. My aerobic endurance kept improving, but I still lacked strength and I had reached a plateau with my weight loss goals... that's when I called Austin Simply Fit for help!
I first spoke to Mark, who was extremely friendly and informative, and he set me up with my first appointment with Bonnie. Both Mark and Bonnie took the time to talk to me about my goals, my health, and my overall fitness background. The workouts Bonnie plans for me are truly focused on my needs. Bonnie pushes me to my limits every week, and she is always incorporating new exercises. My body aches the next day, but I've never been hurt from a workout there - Bonnie is always careful to check my form and makes sure my workouts only produce the "good" kind of pain. Over the holidays, I had David as a substitute trainer for a couple sessions, and he was wonderful to work with as well (and kicked my ass, just like Bonnie does).
Everyone at Austin Simply Fit is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. It's great for any person at any fitness level - I can't recommend it enough!Comment from Mark R. of Austin Simply Fit 5/21/2012

I love Austin Simply Fit! I'm only in Austin for certain parts of the year so I wanted to be able to work out without paying for a year membership and ASF was perfect. I usually work with Mark, the owner, and he's fantastic. I've seen incredible results and its perfect for my schedule. I can't say enough good things about this place! It's also an extremely relaxed and nonjudgmental environment, which I love.

I didn't think i needed a change in my workout routine but i gave Austin Simply Fit a try anyways.
I was wrong.
I had definitely hit a fitness plateau but ASF shook it up and i'm now achieving things i didn't think possible. Literally every time i go I end up saying "that's not possible" about something and David says "yes it is" and I try it and I end up walking out of there more awesome than when i came in.Comment from Mark R. of Austin Simply Fit 5/22/2012

David at Austin Simply Fit made my pants fall off!
(Wait, that doesn't sound quite right... I'll explain in a second)
OK, here we go.
I have a health issue that makes my life interesting, and one of the effects from it is that it is very easy for me to gain weight and very hard to lose it. I've actually been doing a fairly good job on losing weight, but I wanted to do more than just get lighter, I also wanted to get fitter. And David has helped with that, considerably.
He helps me work out with free weights, machines, and other equipment, and talks me through my "whiny-baby" moments, which are frequent and annoyingly high-pitched. He's always positive and pleasant, and he's very good about scheduling and honoring his commitments.
So, as far as the whole pants thing... slowly but surely, I've been getting a bit smaller. While my arms aren't totally tight yet, they aren't super-flappy like they were for a while, there, and my legs are looking pretty good. But my waist has showed enough of a difference where I'm going to have to buy a whole bunch of new pants soon, because they won't stay up and I don't always like belts. So if I am walking kind of fast or dancing or something, I have to be very careful to keep my pants hitched, because otherwise everyone's going to see my (much nicer) butt!
All things considered, it's a pretty awesome problem to have.Listed in: Closer to beeyooteeful

My wife and I have been working out guided by Mark Rogers for 3 years now, which speaks to how much we must like it! We worked with Mark at his previous gym and were quick to follow him to his OWN gym, Austin Simply Fit.
Mark does a good job of pushing you past your limits every time you visit. He is encouraging and tough and like the Cylons, he HAS A PLAN. I'm lifting weight that I never would have thought possible thanks to Mark! For a while, I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to squat with any weight due to my back getting tweaked, but Mark worked with me over time to strengthen my back and get me back to what i was lifting and BEYOND!
And, they really do work to make it efficient... we have seen results with 1 or 2 thirty minute visits per week. I really enjoy the private one on one aspect of these sessions, too.
Mark is very no-nonsense and though he's a big tough dude, he is not a macho jerk. He pushes me past my limit every session, but always safely with the plan in mind.
Mark will make you sore for days in just 30 minutes! What more could you ask for? -

I work out for 30 minutes a week. And I'm stronger than I've ever been in my life. That's thanks to Mark at Austin Simply Fit! He's taken me from "can't lift a bag of groceries" to "challenging strangers to arm wrestle". [I still lose but I enjoy the effort.]
Mark's extensive knowledge of body mechanics also allowed him to safely guide my recovery from a shoulder injury. I trust that he knows better than I do what my body is capable of.
I always look forward to Mark's sense of humor and quiet encouragement. He's not a "Rah rah you can do it" guy, and I'm glad. He seems to like it when, mid exercise, I tell him I hate him. Mark, you sadistic jerk, what would I do without you? -

There are times when I hate Krista Bergeron. Like when she makes me push those football sled things or do hanging pull-ups. The good news is, a year ago, I wasn't able to do either one of those things, so I also totally love her. Her enthusiasm and encouragement have helped me get progressively so much stronger, in spite of a herniated disc in my lower spine that limits what I can do. Each workout is a challenge, and she always keeps it fun.

I can't say enough good things about Mark Rogers and Austin Simply Fit!
It is a great private gym with a personal flare where Mark has managed to create an energetic, fun and positive environment. He and his staff are very knowledgeable, encouraging, and patient. They explain each exercise thoroughly, with an emphasis on correct form to maximize results and prevent injuries.
Mark developed a specialized program for me and while he doesn't let me slack off, he never pushes me past my abilities. I always feel like I got an incredible work out, after which I have energy, stamina, and a positive outlook! But the most important thing to me is the personal attention the trainers give and knowing that they always having your best interest at heart.
Bottom line, this place rocks...whether you are big, little, young, old, never worked out before or training for an intense goal...it really doesn't matter...you can find results here.
Enough gushing: I highly recommend Austin Simply Fit to anyone, of any fitness level. It will change your life and give you results. Check it out! -

As someone who hates to workout but know it's necessary for my health and well being... Austin Simply Fit is "simply" put the best place for me. The 30 minute workout is ideal and just when I think I can't or don't want to do anything else it's over!! I know that may sound odd for some people but believe me when I say it is not an easy 30 minutes. I feel like I get as much, if not more done than when I've worked with a trainer for an hour in the past. Mark is great, really listens to what I say is going on with my body and works to help make me successful in my work outs.

As a certified personal trainer and ex-athlete I am not new to working out. At almost 8 months pregnant, however, I let myself slow down in my training and was feeling the effects. My first session with Mark Rogers was impressive and immediately effective. In just half an hour, he was able to take me through an appropriately intense yet controlled full body workout. He adjusted my positioning as needed and the channels of communication between trainer and trainee were always open. The feedback he asked from me allowed him to alter my positioning, my posture or my muscle engagement and identify how and when certain muscles should "fire". Just as important, his demeanor was motivating yet patient, stern yet encouraging. I can't wait for my subsequent work-outs with Mark and plan to work out under his supervision up to delivery date.

In short, I work harder at Austin Simply Fit than I would ever work on my own. Krista changes things up to keep the boot camp workouts interesting and challenging.

7 years ago I had a six pack, a rockin butt and legs to die for! Life happened... I got married and had a baby. Unfortunately I let myself go. I was NOT happy with where I was with my body. I met Krista Bergeron with Austin Simply Fit in October of last year- in 3 months I've lost 10 lbs of body fat!! I even took a month off over the holidays. Krista is AWESOME! I love how she challenges me and pushes me to my limit (and than some!) The atmosphere at Austin Simply Fit is comfortable and fun. I cherish my time with Krista- it's MY time and I'm getting my rockin body back! We spend hundreds of dollars a month on our car payment and thousands on our house payment. We're in our bodies 24/7 why dont people spend the money to take care of what we're constantly in?! It's well worth it.

I finally came to the realization that if I wanted to get in shape I needed someone to kick my *ss and lead the way for me- I was not being successful sticking to a routine on my own and sought out some guidance from the Mark at Austin Simply Fit. Having never really done any intense workouts before, I was pretty daunted at first, but Mark has a great way of being gentle and tough at the same time, pushing me to reach levels I never thought I could and that I 'd never be able to come close to on my own. The 30 minute workout is always varied, and so efficient - it is all you need ( and sometimes all you can handle:) - there is no wasted time or movement. The studio is really nice and clean, and I never feel like I am at a gym- and they have plenty of music options too;) After 5 months I am stronger than I have ever been and see very visible changes. I don't have to worry about plateauing because all the planning and monitoring is taken care of to help me continue on the right path- I just show up;)
