I highly recommend Dr. Quaroni and his staff at AOMSA. I cried when my dentist told me that I had to have my upper wisdom teeth removed since I had my two lower wisdom teeth removed a decade earlier at another practice many miles away and the experience was very unpleasant. My dentist referred me to Dr. Quaroni and I am thoroughly pleased with the level of care I received. My consultation was relaxed and hassle-free. The scheduling was easy. I was seen on-time at each visit, including the follow-up. I felt much better following surgery than I thought I would and had no bruising. Dr. Quaroni and his staff exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend the practice for anyone who gets the dreaded news that they need oral surgery.

Hard to say you had a great experience with wisdom teeth removal, but it's true. Friendly and helpful staff, Dr. Quaroni was great, and the results were great. Plenty of information and suggestions ahead of time, good care during, and nice follow-up.

Dr. Quaroni is a miracle worker. He removed all 4 of my wisdom teeth this summer in about 30 minutes. The procedure was painless and my recovery time was minimal. I felt as good as new in about 6 hours, which is unbelievable for this procedure.
The team was great about letting me know what to expect and how to prepare for the surgery. The receptionist effortlessly schedule a consultation next day and my surgery was scheduled for a week later.
Dr. Quaroni provided a complimentary follow-up appointment and was genuine enough to inquired about my job, which we had previously discussed, during that visit. -

Dr. Quaroni is fantastic! I had to have a wisdom tooth pulled this morning and my regular dentist warned me that the shape of my roots meant the surgeon would likely have to take it out in two pieces and it wouldn't be easy. Dr. Q had it out in 20 minutes in one piece! It was a really easy procedure - even the shots before hand barely hurt. He's nice and friendly and great at what he does. I have very little swelling (if any) and very little pain. I was back to work seeing clients tonight and they were amazed to hear that I had a tooth pulled this morning.

I had my wisdom teeth out with Dr. Voorhees, who was completely wonderful. Each of the support staff I met throughout the procedure was also very helpful and friendly. They chatted with me about school, and made sure I was well-informed about what to expect throughout each step of the procedure. A few days later I developed dry socket (tried to eat solid food too soon; it was my own fault) and they squeezed me in immediately, even without an appointment, to get some gauze packed in and relieve the pain. Getting your wisdom teeth out is a pain and a hassle, but they help you through it in as friendly and caring a way as possible. Would definitely recommend this place to someone else.

I had my wisdom teeth out at this location of AOMS yesterday. I made a separate review for Dr. Voorhees- this review is strictly for the staff & other things related to AOMS.
While Dr. Voorhees was absolutely phenomenal, I was not quite as impressed with the support staff. The 2 dental techs I dealt with never introduced themselves, so I have no idea what their names are, even though I've been to AOMS for 2 appointments now.
At my first appointment, I got called back & had my x-ray done by one dental tech (female), who was nice- cordial, but not particularly friendly or warm. While she was setting up my x-ray, I was trying to explain to her what was going on with my tooth (I wasn't really sure- my top left wisdom tooth was broken, but I was having pain in my upper AND lower jaws, & I didn't know if that had to do with me grinding my teeth or my TMJ or what). She didn't acknowledge anything I was saying, and didn't really seem to be listening. While I was trying to explain, some other lady (not in scrubs...receptionist?) interrupted me (but did not acknowledge me in the slightest- how long does it take to say "Excuse me"?) to tell the tech that one of the doctors needed assistance right then. The tech told me to hold still, started my x-ray, & left. The other lady stayed while my x-ray finished, showed me to my room & told me the doctor would be there in a minute. I never got to finish telling anyone what was going on.
Then a second dental tech comes in, and asks me if I am having one wisdom tooth or all 4 pulled that day. I told him I didn't know, because I wasn't sure what was going on with my teeth, and I didn't even know if I was having a tooth pulled that day. He said he had to tell the dentist if I was having 1 tooth pulled or all 4 pulled. I told him I didn't know what to tell him because I hadn't been examined yet & I didn't know what was going on. At that point, he got extremely rude. He took a very condescending tone, and began talking to me very slowly, like I was mentally deficient or something, telling me that he had to tell the dentist what was going to happen today. I told him I didn't give a damn what he told the dentist, to tell him whatever the f*ck he wanted, and to get the hell out of the room.
After he left, I lost it. I was totally freaked out because I had no idea what was going on, my biggest irrational fear is dentists, my mouth was throbbing horribly, and some jackass "medical professional" just totally treated me like crap. I was scared out of my mind & sobbing. So guess who comes back in? Yep, wonder boy. He's all casual, like he was never a complete ass to me, & completely ignores the fact that I am crying my eyes out & hyperventilating. He looks at me & says, "Ok, I need you to have a seat in the chair for me." I told him, "No! Get the hell out of here! You are not touching me!" while I'm still crying, and guess what he does? HE STARTED LAUGHING. Yea, seriously.
So he leaves, and I start trying to pull it together for a few minutes. I was still crying when Dr. Voorhees came in, but was significantly calmer than when jerk boy left. Dr. Voorhees helped me calm down, looked at my wisdom teeth & my x-ray, & we discussed what needed to happen. I was fine after that- It's amazing what a little professionalism & humanity can do for a patient!
Then the female tech came back in, & I told her what had happened with the male tech. She told me (regarding the first interaction) that that's how they do it there- the techs let the dentist know what's going on. I was like, "Really? You let your patients decide which teeth they want removed with out any kind of consultation by the dentist?" She ignored that comment, and I went on to tell her what happened the second time he came in the room. She said she was his supervisor & she would take care of it.
So then I went to checkout. The checkout lady was really nice, and broke down the cost so I could figure out what I could afford (no insurance). She told me she would book my appointment for removal of just 1 tooth, but if I found out that I could afford it, to call & they would switch it to all 4. It was really nice to have that flexibility. I ended up calling the day before my appointment & switching it to all 4, and it was not a problem at all.
Other stuff: The waiting room is nice, with coffee & a water cooler, comfy chairs, & lots of reading material. The bathroom is clean & stocked, but the vent is REALLY loud. The rooms could use a little sprucing, and do y'all really have to keep the instruments out where people can see them? That was NOT comforting. There aren't any TVs in the rooms, so bring an iPod.
Overall, if it weren't for Dr. Voorhees, I wouldn't come back here. I'm NOT paying hundreds of dollars to be treated like crap. I'm a living, breathing, FEELING person, not just a set of teeth on an assembly line. -

My boyfriend and I just left their offices, and I was extremely impressed. The receptionist was friendly and efficient in taking my boyfriend's information, and after a little waiting, we were shown into a room, where Dr. Quaroni was able to examine my boyfriend's wisdom teeth. He is a very intelligent and professional man, he told us everything upfront, like what the chances for pain/infection would be after the removal of my boyfriend's wisdom teeth. He treated me with courtesy as well, even though I wasn't the patient. His assistant, Amanda, is also friendly and very capable in explaining things to us. By the end of the visit, we had no questions, that's how good they were at explaining everything we needed to know for the procedure. I wish every doctor's office had such courteous and efficient staff. If you are thinking about getting your wisdom teeth removed, this is a place you should consider. My boyfriend has an appointment next Friday, but I feel comfortable that they will do a great job.
