Wasn't a fan of the staff here on my first few visits, but things have really bumped up quite a few notches since. I love their new online appointment system, which shows available appointments by month (totally awesome) as well as the text reminder system. Very efficient, very user friendly.
Dr. Allen Austin is pretty awesome - very patient and friendly and doesn't push for unnecessary treatments.
I'm really impressed. -

I've been seeing Dr. Austin for a few years and still every time I go see him, he's very patience in explaining everything to me, answering every single questions I have, and does a very thorough check up on my eyes!
Excellent service, very professional, plus very knowledgeable!
Not to mention their newest and latest high-tech equipment - it shows images of the eyes and help me understand more about my eyes' health condition!
Great experience! Highly Recommended!!! -

I just finished my annual check up with Dr. Allen Austin. Cassandra was really great in helping me find the new office location and his receptionist was really nice too. I opted to get the $35 images taken of my eye -- worth it in order to find out if something is wrong with my eyes. He has a really great setup where he can visually show things to me about my eyes and how they work. He has a program where he can draw on top of pictures and diagrams in order to explain things to me--very helpful. Lisa was fantastic in helping me find the right eyeglasses frame to fit me (I'm rockin' Diors now!) I even got a 20% off office discount and the Yelp Check-In promo for $50 of prescription eyeglasses was AWESOME!!!
P.S. Their new office is across from the LA Fitness in a big, white and black 20-story-ish building. -

Receptionist friendly but the rest of the support staff don't introduce themselves. They charged extra for retinal exam and couldn't even get a clear print. One even changed the order of my glasses that Dr. Austin prescribed. I told him about it and he was very apologetic. Hoping my 3rd trip there to pick up my glasses results in the correct and ordered prescription.

Dr. Allen Austin is really awesome. He is friendly, thorough, and professional. During my yearly eye exams he always asks if I have any questions and he answers them all. Every year I go I always learn about the newest products for contact lenses and this time I was also informed of an $85 rebate for Acuvue contacts. Such a savings! The front desk is knowledgeable and thoroughly explained the the costs with my insurance plan.
Top notch operation.
Oh and they are also open on the first Saturday of every month. -

I highly recommend Dr. Allen E. Austin. He was very nice and very thorough. I felt that he put me, my eye care and my comfort at a priority. The receptions there is a bit of a hoot. She's quite eccentric. I have a similar personality so I was fine with it but I'm sure others could be a little intimidated by her.
What I really like about this office is they have an on-line website and you can schedule your appointment there.
The office might be a little hard to find, it's part of the block at Orange, but on the side, I'd recommend trying to arrive about 15 minutes early to your appointment.
But the actual facility is quite nice, looks very professional and extremely well maintained. -

Two thumbs up for this optometry group. Dr. Allen Austin was very thorough and answered all of my questions with the same vigour, pulling up information online and taking time to discuss everything! Christina helped me pick out my glasses and gave me very direct opinions on what suited my face and she found a great pair of glasses that I love!
Great office that I will recommend over and over again! -

Dr. Austin is very pleasant. He actually was very thorough with going through the results on my exam. He provided enough information for me to understand the technicalities of the whole thing. He also gave me options that's available to me just in case I'm looking to change how I wanted my prescription filled (contacts, glasses or LASIk). Overall, everybody in the office is very helpful And Dr. Austin is very professional and very friendly. Two thumbs up!

Came in just recently to get some lenses put in a pair of Chloe eyeglasses. Usually order my contacts here and decided to come here for my eyeglass lenses too. Didn't have an appointment, walked-in, and they were able to accommodate me right away. One of the technicians helped me get sized for my glasses. Really impressed with the innovative technology they had to get the precise measurement of your pupils so the lens are made more efficiently. I was told only a handful of clinics have it and that was definitely a plus. The technician was very helpful and she was able to get me out of there in about 20 minutes or so. They don't have an extensive collection of frames but they do have another location that offers the higher end frames and they can have them sent to the Orange location for your convenience. Would recommend to others and will be coming back again.
