I highly recommend Dr. Vanessa Fritz!
Dr. Fritz spent a total of 3 hours with me between two visits, for the cost of one initial visit. She is an attentive and patient listener. Her methods (described in detail on her website) are thorough and address underlying causes, not only symptoms. She addressed my immediate symptoms for relief. She was very open to my preferences and comfort-level with follow up treatment options, and customized for my needs without compromising the desire result. She has conversed with me in follow up over email and never took more than a day to reply, and has left the door open for me to email her with any follow up questions.
She takes Pay Flex, for those who have a Pay Flex medical expenses account, and worked with me to make sure lab tests she ordered are filed with my insurance.
The supplement brands she recommended for me can be purchased at People's Pharmacy, not just at her practice.
This was and is the most thorough, comfortable and helpful experience I've ever had with a medical practitioner. I'm happy to write a strong review for her on Yelp! -

I received accupuncture from ANFM and the service, environment, and expertise were all excellent. Dr. Fritz takes the time to try and understand your whole body's state of wellness and recommends treatment and therapies accordingly with a proactive approach. Such a refreshing and needed alternative to the broken big business healthcare model. She almost makes me look forward to the next time I get sick or sore. Not quite, but almost.

Dr. Fritz has treated several members of my family and several of my friends.
Re Naturopathy vs Western Medicine, Western Med simply drops the ball on many areas and I can't stand the "reactive nature" of Western Med.
Re Dr. Fritz as an ND, 1) She's very caring and it just take a couple minutes with her to realize it and 2) She really knows her stuff.
I highly recommend her. -

Based on a preliminary interaction, I have a very positive impression.
I contacted Vanessa Fritz by email with some questions about a particular treatment for myself. She replied quite promptly and was helpful. When I provided a bit more information, she actually suggested that I see another provider for more targeted treatment, but added that if I wanted a slightly broader approach I was welcome to see her.
Have not yet been to see her, but I really like that kind of up-front, honest, helpful approach. -

I have been very skeptical of seeing a Naturopath or Accupuncturist in the past. Well, I am glad I changed my mind and went in to see Dr. Fritz. I picked her because she seemed to be less expensive than other Naturopaths in Austin and it does make a difference.
While my issues have been more underlying/pervasive, rather than one specific thing, I honestly believe she is intelligent, helpful and will truly work with you (and give you the time) to understand your body, it's functions, it's issues and then come up with options to treat the underlying problems (especially when it comes to women's health).
I am comfortable working with her and love going to the space she has at Soma Vida.
I am also very nervous about needles being poked into my body but she did a very good job with the accupuncture, and stays in the room a lot after the needles are in, just to make me comfortable. So I ended up buying a 6-package deal from her. For the amount of time she spends with me each session, I feel like it has provided more than value for my money.
Mainly, the food principles she tries to advocate have started to help both my husband and me a lot.
Finally, given how educated she is in this field, I feel very comfortable going to her regularly.

This is a general family practice with a focus on Women's health, Menopause, Pediatrics, and Digestive health. Appropriate imaging and lab testing will help us determine the best course of action, using natural methods such as acupuncture, herbal medicine, homeopathy, clinical nutrition, hydrotherapy, and lifestyle education.

Meet the Business Owner: Vanessa F.
Dr. Vanessa Fritz was born in Quito, Ecuador, but didn't stay there for very long. She grew up in several Latin American countries as her family was part of the American Foreign Service. Experiencing different cultures at an early age not only exposed her to various healing traditions but also taught her to be curious and open- minded. Being raised this way has influenced how she currently views medicine, health and healing. "There is a time and place for everything", she believes. "When appropriate, I provide the gentlest treatments possible, so as to provide support for the body to heal itself. I also educate the patient so that they can be proactive in their own healing process."
