Austin Kenpo Karate ROCKS!!!
Sifu Schroeder is such a wonderful person & an excellent teacher. I enrolled my son just over a year ago & he absolutely loves it there. His confidence & self esteem has blossomed & I am amazed at his discipline.
Sifu goes out of his way to develop close relationships with his students & their families. We love the school gatherings... pumpkin carving contests at Halloween & the Christmas party is always tons of fun.
I have had the pleasure of working closely with Sifu in his after school program this year, helping out with the kids & website issues & I can tell you that the time & attention he gives to these kids after school is just unmatched in any program I have seen. He is definitely a wonderful role model & I would trust him 100% with my son in any situation... & that is not something I take lightly. -

I signed my six and seven year old children up for the after school karate pick up program. I went to the school to make sure the transition with the pick up went well, and waited with the kids for a full hour. The van never showed up. When I told Sifu Schroder this was not going to work for us because kids that age should not be waiting so long, he demanded for me and the kids' dad to come talk to him. When we said we did not want to come in, he immediately charged us $228.95 per kid in "withdrawal fees." We had a phone call to discuss the charges, in which he lost his temper and was screaming at me for expressing my view that my six and seven year old should not have been left for an hour after school. He shared that he would not reverse the charges because he had done this to others with his "legal" contract and would prevail in the dispute I filed with Visa by simply faxing it in. This was the worst experience I have ever had with a service provider.
I had asked to pay cash every month when I signed up. Sifu insisted on getting a credit card number. Now I know why. Please beware, when you are filling out his app and giving a credit card number, it is so he can charge you for withdrawing.
