Review from Jarod C.

Pam is a truly amazing professional and has made such an incredible difference in my life. She has lead me to a great number of realizations even before the hypnosis part of our sessions. When I'm asked about my sessions, it seems that I find many people have the wrong idea about hypnosis. It's NOT that you go unconscious and wake up an hour later feeling like no time has passed, and wonder how you ended up naked on a stage doing a monkey dance ;-) My experience of hypnosis is that you go into a deeply relaxed state in which the impressions in your subconscious mind are more accessible and changeable if needed. It's a relaxing, truly life-changing experience that I imagine just about everyone could benefit from.
In a country where so many just reach for the next pill, I wish we could have a few thousand more Pam Yagjians. Life would be so much better. I can not recommend and thank her enough. -

When taking a pill is not your thing, Pam Yagjian may be. Hypnotherapy takes your childhood and adult traumas and rewires your brain and body so that your reactions to life are healthier. Using extremely gentle and skillful techniques, Pam teaches you new ways to cope with physical or emotional issues.
I saw her several years ago for physical pain. My experience allowed me to refocus on what was happening in my life and to use gentle relaxation techniques to allow my body to heal. To this day, I use her powerful self hypnosis techniques to de-stress or for any issue I want to negate.
Each time I worked with Pam, my nervous system fell into a very deep sleep through her methods. And while I could hear her talk to me and send my subconscious suggestions, my body was unable to react. She explained that 20 minutes of self hypnosis is equal to several hours of deep sleep.
Whenever I tell her she is amazing, she turns it around to "You are amazing." Pam is a healer of extraordinary measure without ego or judgment. I recommend her for whatever is hurting you emotionally or physically. Your life starts the day you enter her office. Do it. Now.Listed in: Here's to your health!

Review from Kimberly K.
Austin, TX
With last year's rash of deaths of loved ones, I came to the obvious conclusion that I only have one life. That I know of anyway. Is this how I want to live it?
For the first half of my life, I was a super fit athlete who ate a lot of cookie dough. For the second half of my life I worked all of the time but didn't change my eating habits. My goal is to not recognize myself by the end of this year.
I will not continue looking into the mirror and longing for the thin and fit person in me... sexual metaphors aside... when I realize that all I have is NOW. Suffering = pining for someone from my past to be in my future, or lamenting that I am a size MILLION when I want to be a size 8, or saying I do not like freckles and red hair when I do not have the money nor vanity of Michael Jackson to change that about myself.
All I have is NOW.
The goal this year is to shed weight like kids shed clothes at Barton Springs... fast and painless and fun while, at the same time, going through an emotional breakup. This is where I knew I needed to talk with someone who could help me.
With a BA in Psychology, MS in Counseling and a background in business management and corporate coaching, Pam Yagjian takes hypnotherapy to transformational levels.
She listens for about the first half hour or so and takes notes. Then she hypnotizes and continues to have a conversation with my usually hidden self. Some of it I remember and some of it she reminded me of when I was no longer in a sleep-like state. She utilizes the initial talk time to guide what she says while you are hypnotized.
She uncovered what I spent years hiding. It seemed fairly effortless and peaceful.
We are all beautiful to the extent we allow ourselves to be known as beautiful. YOU are beautiful. Beauty eluded me, living in a body that got bigger with every breakup. What I learned with Pam was how I linked love and food at a profoundly deep level and how I put on pounds to protect myself from pain.
Thirty less pounds later with 40 more to go, I can say that she works if you do. Hypnotherapy plows through deep issues in a short amount of time. All of that bullshit that I was unwilling to come clean with in talk therapy or that I simply cannot even remember that was keeping me from living the life I wanted ... is revealed in the hypnosis. Well, not all in one session... but enough to make a difference.
I once said to her, "Thank you so much for helping me get through this breakup, I thought it would take years to get over this and it has taken months. You are awesome!" She smiled and said that she just listened to ME... and that I was awesome. Very empowering and very low ego. Her website includes a quote that I can see in her and how she works:
"The greatest good you can do for another is not just share your riches, but to reveal to him his own." ~Benjamin Disraeli
I have recommended Pam to a friend dealing with severe pain (Crohn's disease mixed with severe Arthritis mixed with debilitating Migraines) and Pam taught her to hypnotize herself so she can manage her own pain. The pain has not gone away, but now my friend has a way to actively deal with something over which she felt she had no control.
I have recommended Pam to a friend who wanted to quit smoking and I learned that Pam has a 3 visit quit smoking program. She starts with an interview and if you do not really want to quit smoking, she refuses to work with you. Brilliant.
I have recommended Pam to my dentist for working with patients who cannot deal with the associated pain and fear of dental appointments but who desperately need to have their teeth cared for immediately.
I have recommended Pam to a friend dealing with an issue from childhood that was getting in the way of her relationship with her children and I learned that some people only take care of their own issues when they realize they may be damaging their loved ones.
Now I have recommended Pam to you.
All we have is now.Listed in: *U*seful THIS!, I AM TELLING YOU STORIES..., Reduce Weight Now

Review from Hoa N.
It's not about being made to think you are a chicken, like in that Scooby Doo episode with Mr. Mysterio. And it's low on the woo woo.
Hypnotherapy with Pam is a very direct and practical way to access the subconscious and establish new memes, habits, life-patterns. It's a bit like working with dream material, like taking a heroic journey.
This is SO hard to explain.
The philospher Cioran wrote a whole book about the difficulty of being born. Life punches you in the face-- repeatedly, usually. So we form ideas about the world and ourselves. These are helpful messages, useful messages--for awhile.
For example, it might have been helpful to have the notion "I am not lovable" as a child--because "My parents harm me" is too intense and dangerous a thought. Or you might form ideas/ messages such as "I do not deserve good things" due to early life circumstance and go on to sabotage yourself or otherwise live an impoverished life.
Old messages are pretty hard to shake-- even though you know them to be hooey, even when you have gone to talk therapy and can identify all of your issues and their origins ad naseum-- these haunting thoughts can return and stop you from feeling fulfilled.
With Pam, you can seek to change and eliminate life-negating habits, free floating anxiety, fretful sleep, etc. I know from experience that she can help with trauma--to unpack the "stuck" emotions attached to a traumatic event. Freeing.
After a session with Pam, I have literally felt weight lifted from shoulders, as if something I had been carrying around with me all these years was gone, poof.
20 minute free consults by phone are available. If you buy 3 sessions, it's $90 a go.
Pam has spent nearly 2 hours with me during a single session. My NYC friend says, in Manhattan, that would easily be $250 a session.
Luckily we're in Austin-- and that Austin has Pam.Listed in: FTW?! Heathcare
