This place is funky. There's something in every little corner, it reminds me a little of Alice in Wonderland (going down the hole)
Everything is handmade and the jewelry is kickass.
This place is located on S. 1st, there are several restaurants within walking distance (Freddie's, La Mexicana, Polvos, La Reyna, and I'm sure some more that I can't remember)
Shopping, supporting local merchants/artists and a very tall cocktail, i LOVE austin!
This is one of my very favorite places in town for jewelry. Everything is very unique (duh, it's handmade), but not TOO crazy, and on the inexpensive end. I have 2 favorite necklaces from here and I ALWAYS get compliments when I wear them. I also love their handmade cards - though the selection is not large.
Plus you can get a coffee right next door at Once Over!
Check it out!
Went to the Beard Show, with feature artist Corinne Loperfido and her famous bearded photos. Definitely had a great vibe going on. Loved this place with all of it's little funky art and apparel!!!
This is a great place!
I love supporting local stores and local artists.....and you can grab a coffee from next door if that's your pleasure!
great idea
good luck!

Love the vibe.. great place to see what's going on in the handmade universe. This place kind of crept into the neighborhood quietly, but is contributing to the overall awesomeness that is this stretch of S. First (see Once Over Coffee and El Primo reviews as well)

If you are looking for a unique gift, cards, bags, baby clothes, home decor etc, I highly recommend popping in here to see what some local Austin designers are selling.
I've been doing a lot of baby gift shopping lately, and noticed this store when I tried to stop in Austin Baby next door. Some really cute kids clothes. I almost bought this gorgeous knit dress for my soon-to-be-born niece, but the only size they had was 3T. Even though it would be a long time before she could wear it, I almost bought it anyway!
I'll probably stop back in here again to pick up some stationary. They did have some really cute note and greeting cards.

As the first actual Austinite to review this Bouldin Creek boutique, let me just say that it is a very unique addition to our eclectic little neighborhood.
Handmade jewelry, paper goods, bags and art - Austin Handmade has a smattering of something for everyone... though the store isn't jam packed just yet.
Very Austin, great gift ideas and adorable holiday cards.

I love this place. There are lots of local artists who's work you can find at all the usual spots... Part & Labour, Moxie, etc. But somehow they managed to spotlight the art a little more yet not detract away from the accessories. They have great taste and host fun events.
