Yet again Austin Green Team has far exceeded my expectations!
I've been in my little house for a year now, and since the Green Team did a great job meeting my immediate needs last year, I decided to call them now that I want to get a few more things done. ( I bought an older home that need many updates to be energy efficient, so I have something done every few months.)
I called Jeremy, told him everything I wanted quotes for and how incredibly awful my schedule is, and he found a time slot that worked for all parties. Within 5 minutes of our appointment time a team of guys were walking around my home, taking measurements and making a list of what would work best.
One of these gentlemen was, Greg, my A/C expert. This guy is brilliant! My a/c was cooling but running alot and making a horrible noise to let me know it was struggling. The noise alone was giving me ulcers.... But one (not so short) visit from Greg later and the noise was gone and my house was cooler. He also noticed something wrong in my attic and made suggestions on how to get it fixed. I would have never seen that! I really appreciated the thorough inspection and explanation of the issues with my cooling system and I'm looking forward to working with the other members to follow through on some of the other suggestions.

Would not use again. Set up an appointment two days ago for a technician to fix my AC between 8 and 12 today. Never showed up. Called at noon and the technician finally arrived about 12:45, surmised that my AC needed a new fan motor which would cost me $550. He departed (to Home Depot, I assume) to purchase said motor. A quick peek on-line while he was away indicated fan motors generally cost about $120. When he returned, I asked if I could see the receipt, he said "No." Took him less than 15 minutes to replace the motor. $400 for 15 minutes worth of work? Before he left, I asked him if he could change my control unit from celsius to fahrenheit, said he didn't know how to do that. Uncool all the way around.

If you have AC woes, go with Austin Green Team!
Needless to say, replacing my failing air condition was not on my summer fun list. That said: Trent was efficient and professional and the system is working great. Even better, they work with the city energy rebate program so that you don't have to. The crew was very detail oriented and answered all my questions. I was kept in formed throughout the entire process.
AND they did a whole lot more improvements for less money than any other large company I had out for estimates. They replaced my entire heating and cooling system, resealed the doors, and gave my attic insulation a boost.
Bottom line: go local, be happy. Trent and the Green Team rock! -

They came and did energy audit and offered us a deal to improve few things for only 10K before tax rebate, badly overpriced. I can find many others to do the same for more than half of the cost.

This company is fantastic!
My husband and I are remodeling a condo in South Austin and called Trent to help us out. He was prompt, professional and extremely knowledgeable. He was willing to work within our budget and gave us some very practical advice. The company seems to genuinely care about energy efficiency and Green Building. I would recommend this company to all my friends and family without reservation. -

Austin Green Team recently came to my home and did a wonderful job. They worked on duct sealing, A/C unit maintenance, and weather stripping service for my home. Austin Green Team promptly came out to my home as scheduled and perfectly on time. They were extremely polite, efficient, and professional . I was not worried about them being in my home one bit. I would highly recommend their services to anyone looking for repairs, maintenance, or efficiency concerns. Thanks so much for your help.
