Adam and his team are fantastic. They are extremely careful with all of my dry cleaning. I don't trust many people with my Armani black label and bespoke suits but he is always carful and everything comes back perfect.
Plus, they are green! Simply the best in Austin. -

Dry cleaners have a very bad environmental rap. The chemicals used on site are bad enough, but then you bring the plastic coated clothes home to off-gas in your closet. As if there weren't enough things in your house that cause cancer and disrupt hormones, your dry cleaning could be the worst. The past couple of years I have been trying to de-chemical our home and eventually my attention turned to dry cleaning. We try not to buy clothing that requires dry cleaning, but we couldn't get away from occasionally needing to wash some dress slacks and suits. Every so often, we needed to run by a dry cleaners.
I searched my area for a decently close dry cleaners that used more environmentally friendly, and less chemically based methods. Austin Cleaners popped up. Their prices were comparable so I gave them a whirl. They do all of the cleaning on site and have signs that explain their methodology. The guy that took the clothes explained their philosophy and asked why I picked them. He seemed pretty excited that I showed up based on their environmental strivings.
Now the drop off and pick ups happen quickly - brief friendly conversation and grab the clothes and go. I'm glad to call Austin Cleaners my alternative to the conventional dry cleaner. -

I so badly wanted this to be a good review. No one cleans suede in Austin and Austin cleaners does not offer drop off of suede as do some cleaners. The shirt I dropped off only rates one star for the poor pressing. The dry cleaning was well done but picking it up was a nightmare. I was told it would be ready Thursday PM. I went Friday PM to pick it up it was done but not "together". I then came back two hours later and it was still not together. They had to hunt high and low for over 15 minutes to find the belt for a London Fog raincoat. The hunt for a quality dry cleaner continues.

I really debated reviewing Austin Cleaners at all even though I had a good experience and will return. The reason? When I read the other reviews here, it seemed obvious that 4 out of 5 of the previous entries were fakes. C'mon - one friend and one review? That's not even a good fake review! Try harder!
It's unfortunate that the fake reviews undermine the fact that I tried this dry cleaner for the first time and genuinely liked it for several reasons:
1) It's perc-free. The sign declaring this fact attracted me, and I noticed when I walked in that there was no weird dry cleaner "smell".
2) It's on my way home from work and they turn around the clothes quickly.
3) The owner waited on me both when I went and when I picked up my stuff and was super nice. When I took my clothes, I got one item cleaned for free since there was a coupon online (even though I didn't look up or bring the coupon).
4) It was the same price as my other dry cleaner, so I wasn't paying more for less stinky clothes.
I will definitely return, but I'm hoping that those one star, one friend reviews are replaced by, you know, "real people, real reviews" as they say. -

Austin Cleaners is A-mazing! I bring suits, dress shirts, dresses, and coats in to get dry cleaned and they always come back as clean (or cleaner!) than the day I bought them. They have a knack for getting out tough stains, too. And since they do not use perc in their dry cleaning process, the clothes always smell clean and fresh. The texture of the clothes is soft, not dry or brittle like other dry cleaners.
Plus, they are always very friendly. I highly recommend them! -

My dirty wedding dress was taking up a ton of space in our guest room. In-laws coming to town finally prompted me to take the dress in to cleaners.
Both times I went to Austin Cleaners, the owner greeted me. I was in a crazy hurry both times, and they were completely fast and accommodating.
When the dress was ready, the owner called me. The dress was preserved in a nice box for storage.
No complaints. If you need to preserve your wedding dress, I recommend you take it here!Listed in: Essential Wedding Guide

This place is awesome and Adam has always been helpful and friendly. I wore a really gorgeous BCBG dress to a wedding and of course, one of the guests had 1 too many whiskey/cokes and I was lucky enough to have his drink spilled all over my gorgeous dress, but.....
Luckily, Adam came to the rescue and my dress looks brand new. Almost better than it did at the store. After that, which was my first experience using Austin Cleaners, I'm sold and each visit after has been as equally satisfying. I highly recommend this place and I don't understand the negative reviews, I have NEVER recieved treatment that wasn't friendly and attentive. -

We found Austin Cleaners through Yelp reviews and we are fans as well. I agree that they need to update their front signage and get at least some part time counter help for when there are a lot of people there. But they remember your name if you are a regular, have not messed up anything we have given them, and are incredibly nice and friendly, no matter how busy.

I'm a regular customer of Austin Cleaners for 3 years now, and I've never been disappointed with their service. Adam is a great guy who makes an extra effort to show his appreciation for his customers, and the quality job they do makes this business a gem of a find in Northwest Austin. I wear suits and dress shirts every day for work, and I'm always impressed with how quickly my clothes are ready and how fresh they come back to me. Don't let a negative review dissuade you from giving these guys a shot. You won't be disappointed!

I was initially attracted to Austin Cleaners because of the Greener Dry Cleaner mantra. My clothes smell...fresh, not like a dry cleaner. Adam (Owner) greeted me every time I walked in the door. The price is right, the location is close to the freeway. No complaints here.

Austin Cleaners is located up the street from where I work. Adam and Co. greet me by name, and do a fantastic job at cleaning. In fact, I stained one white dress shirt with wine, and I figured that stain was there for good. Austin Cleaners cleaned it as best they could, and put a tag on it saying they tried but there was still some discoloration. However, after a few such cleanings, the heavy-duty wine stain is gone! And all environmentally friendly. They also recycle hangers, and will give you a little cardboard storage thingy to load'em up in. Great job guys!

I hesitated on writing a review untill I saw the bad ones others had posted. This is by far the best dry cleaner I have ever used. Adam is the only one I trust with my very expensive clothes. He has gone out of his way to get every stain possible about of my garments, to the point of ordering a special enzyme cleaner to get blood out of a sport coat I had brought him last summer. Unlike many other cleaners he has some integrity and actually dry cleans your clothes as opposed to laundering them and charging you a dry cleaning price. I think some of the other reviewers are just ridiculous. Sorry you didn't like the price you were quoted for your wedding dress Jennifer maybe you should go buy one of those space saver bags from wal mart if you can't afford quality service.

I visited Austin Cleaners while in town .... It's not like a stereotypical dry cleaner. The equipment is in plain view so you know your clothes are not going to be hauled around town. The people were very helpful also.

I had a dry cleaner that I trusted downtown, but I really wanted something close to where I now live up north. In my quest for hippie-dom, I learned of Austin Cleaners. I showed up last week with two trash bags full of clothes and handed them over to Adam, the owner. I appreciated that he counted everything and gave a receipt that had not only my pickup number but the articles of clothing as well. I'd expected ~$70 or a bit more based on my previous dry cleaning experiences, but it rang in at just over $50!
I appreciated that he remembered me [and my clothing] the next evening and counted the articles again at pickup before sending me on my way. At home, my wife remarked that it didn't smell as "dry cleaner-y" as she'd gotten used to, and I dug their method of dealing with sleeves so they don't get wrinkled.
Dry cleaners sure as hell aren't the most exciting places to write about, but you wonderful Yelpers seem to have led me to a good one. Thanks! -

I started going to Austin Cleaners because it was the closest dry cleaner to my apartment. I got to know the owner (Adam) and came to realize he's one of the most customer service minded business owners I've seen. I'm very particular about how my shirts come back from the cleaner, and he's never hesitated to do whatever it takes to get my order right. Their prices are competitive, their cleaning process is friendly to the environment, and Adam seems to always be in a pleasant mood, even when he's sweating over the shirt press! I've since moved from my apartment, and still make the effort to take my clothes to Austin Cleaners.
