Had a nice lunch here, service was phenomenal and very accomodating for our 14 month old. Great food also!

Probably a decent bar but forget the food. Got a burrito here and everything about it screamed Sysco. Iceberg lettuce. Cheese that was very reminiscent of grade school chalupas. Chicken that tasted like it was shredded up McDonalds. Maybe the other stuff is better but I'm not going to bother to find out.

I was very surprised with this restaurant. My wife & I were getting a little tired of your typical Puerto Rican fare (everything fried & heavy) & we stumbled upon this spot as we walked around Old San Juan. Very nice decor, comfortable seats, very nice ambiance. We started with Tostones Rellenos de Ceviche ( fried plantain cups filled with ceviche) which were outstanding. For the main course my wife & I shared a Ceviche Mixto (mixed seafood ceviche) which came with tostones which was equally as good. For desert we shared a Coco Kiko Rico which is prepared by the chef & also very good, not too sweet with hints of coconut.

Anselmo makes some really yummy drinks. This place will not let you down with really really ice cold beer. The nachos were a disappointment though. The ambiance is great and yes the name means exactly what you think. We know cuz we asked. :)

This restaurant was recommended to me by my cousin, whose parents have a place in Puerto Rico. I was here for a convention, so I sought out this place to eat on one of our first nights. Wow, am I glad I did! I had one of the specialties, a whole Red Snapper, filleted vertically, stuffed with bell peppers, onions, capers, and, oh yes, Shrimps! I said Shrimps! All presented in a lovely cream sauces. Wow. The fish was delectable and the shrimp were very tasty, as well. Others in my party have continued to rave, days later, about their meals, as well. Food excellent, check. Decor is very pleasant, not pretentious at all, comfortable wood tables and chairs with tile floors. The bar seemed well stocked. Not an overly large place, maybe 12 tables? All in all, a very satisfactory time in Old San Juan. Very highly recommended.

I wasn't expecting much when we entered Aureola . The menu looked more American than Puerto Rican. Tired and hungry, we decided to give this place a shot. The restaurant has a pleasant environment and a very friendly staff. The food was surprisingly delicious. I ordered the ceviche salad, which was amazing! The waiter was practically jumping with excitement when I ordered this salad. Clearly it was his favorite dish on the menu. Washed down with a fresh lemonade made on the spot, this meal was a welcomed surprise.

Amadeus in Old San Juan is now Aureola. We stopped in for a couple of drinks and some appetizers. I had a glass of cava and my boyfriend had an Argentinian cab - both good and very reasonable. We also sampled a little of the Carribean fare - good but not memorable.

I had a very artistic coconut dessert Coco Kiki Rico at the beautiful bar there last weekend. It's a special place with great atmosphere, great decor, and good creative caribbean cuisine. The location deep in the heart of Old San Juan keeps the average tourist riff-raff away, It doesn't get better!
