I must say, this place has the best customer service I have experienced on South Beach. From the moment we sat at our table, the manager offered us or first round of mojitos on the house. I tried the regular and strawberry mojitos both great and at $5 a piece, even better!

For app we had the hummus and babaganoush platter followed by the crab and shrimp mixed greens salad. Very tasty! All night the manager and waitress checked up on us ensuring that we were having a superb dining experience, and that we did! I'll definitely be back and the $5 excellent mojitos is a great find on costly south beach. Keep that good thing going!

I don't usually sit down at a restaurant without checking its reviews, but like other reviewers on here, my son and I were reeled in by "specials" posters and a very outgoing hostess. So we sat, and then read reviews. Crap.

Luckily, none of the complaints proved true for us. The waiter's English was not great, but he was attentive (even refilling our little dog's water bowl when he refilled our glasses), polite and efficient. The food was not exceptional but quite good.  We never saw the inside of the restaurant, being seated at a table on the thoroughfare because of the aforementioned little dog, but it was very nice to sit outside in the perfect evening weather and people-watch.

My only complaint, really, and why I didn't give four stars, is that the food seemed very overpriced. For that kind of money, it should have been quite a bit better. But it was good and a pleasant experience.

Could this place be a trap? Possibly!

I visited here on my honeymoon and the first night we were enticed with a free round of drinks! The dinner the first night was pretty good I had the seafood paella and my wife had the linguine, we enjoyed it so much that the second night we went back.

We even spoke to the manager or owner whoever he is and he remembered us and said "same deal for you guys tonight".

So we again had the seafood linguine and this time my wife had the stuffed lobster which was not very good. I guess it's a hit or miss with this place, but the server was very nice to us and smiled every time.

My biggest problem was that the first night our bill was $58, the second night it was $122 because the manager/owner was nowhere to be found and our drinks couldn't be comped as promised. This really pissed me off, but I was in a spendy mood so whatever.

BUT for $122 I could've had a fantastic meal, not this bargain basement style italian, even though we still rave about the seafood linguine until this very day.

Interestingly, I had a decent experience. I was just passing by and sat down for lunch. Didn't like the owner or whoever the guy standing at the entrance. He was trying lure ppl in and as long as you ignore him it's fine. He did mumble something about 2 for 1 drinks but didn't care too much about it anyway. Just wanted to grab a bite to eat. Service was good. Had a couple of sangrias and the tomato basil pizza.Pizza was decent and the sangrias were good.
This place doesn't stand out too much in the restaurant row but it's ok. Oh, may be it was just the Sangria's and the cute waiter. ;)

Walking down Lincoln Road with my friend, we successfully dodged several people hawking the daily specials however, at this restaurant the young Aussie was clever and knowledgeable about the menu so we stopped for a drink.  A 2 for 1 special.  We sat in Ola's section.  An attractive very well spoken young waitress.  She was charming with the small talk and made us feel welcome and not more than 6 minutes went by and we had our mojitos.  Ola said she made them and they were great!  We asked for one to be slightly sweeter and my friend was very pleased.  She seemed to be handling half the patio area with ease.

However, while I went to wash my hands I noticed the restaurant was not the most organized.

As we were getting ready to leave the pretty Aussie came to check on our table after sitting the table next to us and was just lovely.

I would love to take both of these ladies back to my restaurants.  5 stars for them and 2 for the restaurant and management.

Same as many, we were lured in by the 2 for 1 drinks. However, our experience was positive - both Mojito and Long Island Iced Tea where well made and tasty.
We ordered only two dishes - crab and shrimp salad and goat cheese and vegetables pizza ( thin crust). Salad was ok, but quite far from greatness, but pizza was excellent with all the flavors melding together nicely. Service was decent (B-).

Like most of the reviewers my girlfriend and I were also lured in by the 2 for 1 cocktail special. The waiter spoke gibberish and by that I mean he was mumbling in english and I couldn't understand a thing he was saying. He seemed to be the only waiter for the entire patio area of the restaurant and he was in a hurry to get down your order. The busser didn't know how to serve water and had the finesse of a grizzly bear. He also seemed to only know two english words and neither really count, " mmmhmm " & " ok ".

After a good 15 minutes of waiting for our mojitos, the waiter comes around and orders the busser to serve us water. Aggravated, I ask him if we could have the drinks we decided to eat there for. Finally they arrive and they are nothing, but a glass full of sugar, mint, water and possibly a single droplet of alcohol. At this point I'm extremely irritated because if I wanted to drink water with sugar I would have ordered a kool aid.

The food was decent though they executed portion control to the maximum. It was a overpriced, but then again everything in South Beach typically is. They were "nice" enough to give my dog a bowl of clean water with ice cubes in it, but quickly took it away when another customer sat down with a dog.

My favorite part was when the check came in and the waiter tipped himself an extra 50 cents after 15% was included in the bill. It's not the 50 cents that bother me, it's the fact that his service was poor, the busser was lost, and the food was decent at best.

DON'T GO! Eating out should be fun and easy, not the main annoyance of the day.

DO NOT GO HERE.  This place is sooo horrible.
I ordered grilled mahi mahi and it was so overcooked that it was not edible.  I didn't even bother to send it back because our waiter was so awful that I didn't want to deal with him.
Also I ordered a second chardonnay by the glass and the waiter brought a completely different wine (sauv. blanc) for my second glass and then argued with me and tried to tell me it was the same chardonnay I had for my first glass.  Pa-lease- I know my wines!!
    Terrible service and terrible food.

The food, absolutely disgusting. The service... ridiculous.  The tables to both sides of us, which both set down before us, and were of equal party size (two people), were both served before us.

For appetizer we ordered a hummus platter, which included babaganoush.  The latter tasted like watered down baby food and the former was dry and grainy... not at all what hummus should be.

We waited 45 minutes JUST for the appetizer!  How long does it take to serve hummus?  Not 45 damn minutes.  You slap it on the plate, as it's premade, and warm up the pita, and bam!  It's done.

After 45 MORE minutes of waiting for our entrees, we simply left the money for the appetizer and walked out.  The server had no conception of service.  If food is taking that long, no matter how much you are in the weeds (which he wasn't), you note the issue to the customer and at least do something to placate their displeasure.

I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone.  Horrible experience.

This is a tourist trap, don't bother eating here....if you must then have a drink, but with so many other places, not worth it.  j

The food was  horrible & wasn't fresh. How do u mess up couscous & grilled veggies??? (veggies were stone cold, couscous uber bland, I don't think they even salted it)

My hubby was so disappointed because we haven't gone on a date  by ourselves for long time.

Bone to pick #2: How do you have list offering champagne cocktails & ran out/didn't have any  champagne???? It was Friday at 8pm...  You Live & learn...should have gone to sushi samba, ur wife is always right boys...

We were in Miami with our 1st family holiday and decided have dinner on Lincoln St. We were coerced by the man at the front of the restaurant, claiming to be the "owner" of this "family" restaurant promising 2 for 1 drinks and children eat "free". The drinks were served in extra small glasses and the bill was "outrageous"!!!! If you are planning on having dinner on Lincoln St. AVOID this restaurant!! It is not worth your time and aggravation!

We were in South Beach over the Holiday and had dinner at Aura...what  a mistake!  The man on the street told us it was his family restaurant and that he would make sure this was the best experience we would have in Miami if we dined here.  We took him for his word on 2 for 1 drinks, free meals for our children etc.  The wait staff was not very good - the food sub par - the bathrooms and inside the restaurant are nasty (if we were smart enough to look in before we ate outside we would have moved on quickly).  The bill came and it was inflated and our man that said he owned the place would not speak with us as it turns out he was just the "front man" for luring people in!  We made a terrible mistake by eating here and hope that by you reading this post that you do not make the same mistake!  Pay it forward they say...

I cannot speak for the food since my friend and I ended up walking out...

It was a busy night and we put our name down for a table inside, sat at the bar and waited... Well ten minutes later a table for two opens up, and another couple who had just walked by was seated there. Ten minutes after that and we still have not been seated, so I make eye contact with the host and see his eyes widen in recognition. Then ten minutes after that we are seated... Outside... Not cool...

The host offered us complimentary glasses of wine in order to make up for the mix up. When the waiter (who I am pretty sure was actually a busser due to the stained apron and lack of hygiene) showed up my friend asked if it was possible to have a beer instead of a wine to which the waiter snapped "NO!" Seriously? Why did he have to be mean?

Well, we ordered, never got our drinks... or bread... or water... So we finally we flag down our bussboy/waiter and ask to speak to the manager. "NO! HE'S BUSY!!!"

    We left after that.

I would say this is more 2.89 stars... ha!

We got sucked in...walking the Lincoln Road "strip".  There are multiple outdoor restaurants on this strip with a host/hostess standing there with the menu in a glass case haranguing you with the specials of the night for your business, as you walk by.  Hey.. ::shrugging:: make it do what it do - whatever you have to do to get business (although it's a little weird and feels car dealership-y)

I was willing to go anywhere...and would have just chosen something...so I left it up to the others.  They settled on this place, and we were taken to a table.  It was a nice night so eating outdoors was/is pleasant.  The table was wobbly, so they had to put a butterknife under it...haha..NICE! Our server was nice enough and seemed knowlegeable of the menu. On to the food...

I ordered the "parmesan encrusted" ribeye with portabella mushroom sauce - on the side - cause I didn't know if I would like it - EXCELLENT Move!  It was thick like gravy - not a sauce - and I kinda doubt those were portabellas. Such is life..since I didn't eat it anyway.  It came with mashed potatoes, and no vegetable...so I added a side of broccli (which she said would be a couple dollars) that cost $5 dollars (are you kidding?)  The steak just had parmesan on top...wouldn't call it "parmesan encrusted", and was kinda fatty.  I guess I was expecting something else.  It was also not as tender as I expect a ribeye to be.

Overall...I would recommend the place, but not what I ordered.  My dining companions liked their stuff just fine, but didn't say it was "great!" either.  I think it's just an ok place in the middle of a promenade of restaurants/shops and may be nice for a few things (basics) if you want more...I would recommend somewhere else for the price.

F.Y.I. They (Restaurants) have this thing in Miami where they go ahead and put your tip on the bill ...anywhere from 15-20% (and you can heighten or lower it at your discretion even though they have totalled it already.  This place adds 17% and I left it at that.

Ok...ok...I should know by now that most places in lincoln road are not known for their "quality" dishes...but my husband and I decided to give this place a chance......
I order the classic pizza and my husband had the pasta with meatballs. My pizza was decent...but to be honest..who can really go wrong with pizza. On the other hand, my husband dish was disappointing, he said the meatballs were hard and not tasty.
One good thing was the complimentary drink with entree.
    Our waiter was ok.
Our evening was a delight due to the wonderful company...not so much the food or service.

I agree with previous reviews that say this is a tourist trap with lousy food.

We had had a very good experience at a different restaurant on Lincoln Rd. a couple of years ago, so returned looking for another good one. This place was NOT it.

Once the waiter determined our party of 4 (2 kids) wasn't drinking, he soaked us by bringing bottled bubbly and flat water, filling our glasses everytime he walked by and then continuously replacing the bottled water, so we ended up paying something stupid like $25 or more for water alone.

The food was absolutely BAD from the stale bread to the gross crabcake to the dry burgers and the chewy bland steak. When he was asked what he recommended, the waiter pointed out the highest priced entrees. When we didn't order them, he tried again to talk us into them. When that didn't happen, he wanted me to drink wine. Uh, NO.

To add insult to injury, the bill totalled something like $150 for all of this terrible food.

    DO NOT GO TO AURA!!!

Sometimes, ambiance makes up for poor quality food and sometimes, the opposite is true.  In this case, however, neither is appropriate.  Last night, showing some friends from New York around, we were lured into this "restaurant" by the promise of 2 for 1 cocktails.

Our WAITER was so enamored by all the stuff happening on Lincoln Road, more than my friends who don't even live here, that he missed my drink order and then had to have us all repeat our orders THREE different times!!  We should have just let him forget.  The pasta was chef Boyardee on a fancy plate.  Actually, I apologize for that; it was an insult to both Mr. Boyardee and fancy plates.  My fried shrimp sucked.  My 2 caipirinhas were not too bad; next time though I will ask them to add some alcohol.  I was embarrassed on behalf of Miami that this was what we had to offer tourists.  STAY AWAY.  There are soooooo many great restaurants down here.  There's no excuse to waste your time or money at one of lesser quality.  If you just can't decide, there's always Sushi Siam which never fails to impress.

I'm not a tourist and actually liked this place. Our waitress Illaria was attentive and even redid my Mojito when I told her it needed more rum sugar and mint leaves. We had the calamari, mussels, lamb shank, and lobster with pasta. All were delicious. Great people watching too. A bit pricey, but as expected for the location.

There are a ton of restaurants on the same two or three block of Lincoln Road.  It's a bit annoying because the hosts stand outside and try to get you to come dine with them "2 for 1 drink specials" blah blah blah.  It sp,ewjat ruins the whole "Lincoln Road" experience if you're shopping around there anytime between 11am-2pm.

Similar to the others who reviewed this place, we just walked to the "strip" without any specific place or type of food in mind.  One of the girls was lured in by the paella special and since no one had any objections we accepted the guy's offer for 2 free bottles of wine (or one free cocktail each).

The food was at best "okay-good".  It was fun to sit out on the "strip" and have a late dinner with the girlfriends and do "satc" talk.  Somehow as the street got quieter later in the evening and with the dimmed lights it sort of felt like we were in Europe - at an Italian Piazza.  Fun times. Food, mediocre.

Below are the things we ordered:

    Spinach & Cheese Dip ***

    Paella ***
    Lobster & Crab Ravioli ****
Lamb Shank w/saffron Risotto *** - the "sauce" was a bit heavy
    Lobster Pasta ****
    Ahi Tuna **

The food here was so plain. I ordered a ceaser salad and my boyfriend got fetteccini Alfredo. How do you mess up two simple dishes?? Then the waiter offered us their special $5 mojito and we got one. The bill came and it said $12 for the drink. I asked hat happened to the $5 special and waiter sent his manager over. The guy was a creepy jerk and argued with us over $7 on our $80 bill. He compared the place to mcdonalds. I would have rather gone to mcdonalds after this ridiculous place and saved my money!!!!

I've eaten here a few times and usually get the pizza. It's not great but it's edible. The last time I went it was burned and the service was terrible. Our waitress disappeared and never brought us our bill  so we waited 30 minutes until she finally turned up! We ordered a drink and they forgot to bring it yet still charged us for it. Overall a terrible last experience with 2 sub par ones before made me never want to return to this place again.

God I should have learned my lesson by now- I should have checked this place out on yelp first! What a mistake! It looked like a pretty cute restaurant at Lincoln Road Mall and it described itself as being a "modern international cuisine bar."  We sat outside and our table was totally lopsided, it didnt' help that it started puring down rain! The hostess enticed us to try Aura because they had free mojitos on Monday nights (with the purchase of an entree).  We tried the shrimp and crab wrap and let me tell you there was no shrimp or crab in that wrap!  It tasted more like a mayo wrap with some celery and cucumbers in it.  It was not filling at all and it was just horrible.  To top off our bad choice, the bill included a 17% gratuity.  This restaurant felt like it was straight out of that Kitchen Nightmares show with Chef Ramsey!

This isn't a real restaurant.  Whose idea was this??  The food was so cheap and horrendous, it was actually astounding.  I don't think I've ever had more bland, low-quality food.  Everything about this place seemed slapped together, like it's some sort of front for something else.   The outdoor menu is a frame with some ink-jet prints in it.  The tables are made of particle-board with the stickers still on with some sticky, moldy tablecloths thrown over.  Our waitress was really sweet, but I don't think she knew what she was doing.  We ended up here after wandering around Lincoln Rd looking for something not so loud and crowded.  I'm still convinced this isn't a real restaurant.  The chicken had what seemed to be Campbell's cream of mushroom soup on top, but that would be an insult to Campbell's canned soup..  this wasn't even as flavorful as that.  The seafood pasta seemed ok, but the bizarre low-quality of the salad, the drink selection (Coor's, Heineken, and Amstel LIght), and the crap quality of my date's dish, made me fear for my life to eat clams, mussels, shrimp, and scallops from a place like this.  The chicken dish promised "sauteed portabello mushrooms", yet on the plate were no more than 2 or 3 slices of white mushroom caps.  The crap quality of this dinner is too painful too even think back on, and impossible to express.  Not a real restaurant.  I've never had more uninspired, less artfully created food in my life.   Total bill: $88 for 2 dinners and 2 beers.

Again: Not an actual restaurant.  Some kind of cheap on-the-fly thing someone threw together for some reason other than preparing and serving food.  If this is some kind of 'vanity project', the owner must not have a very high opinion of himself.

Yeah, honestly, this is one of those places out on South Beach that think they can charge whatever for crap food simply thanks to the location. We went there with a group (five people, hardly difficult to manage) and were given attitude from the moment we sat down. We also only ordered water (I was the only 21+ person there and the driver) and this seemed to really aggravate our waitress, as we had our glasses (which were very quickly emptied) filled only once. Seriously. We ordered a few appetizers to split: toasted ravioli was overdone and breaded shrimp had ZERO flavoring on it. Also, with our spinach dip, we received only three small pieces of toasted bread. For five people. And were denied more bread. Lovely.

    Onto the entrees.

My boyfriend and I split a pasta arrabiata.Ladies and gentlemen, pasta arrabiata is Italian for "angry pasta". This is due to the spicy nature of the dish. Aura's version of it should be called "pasta un puo irritata" which means "slightly annoyed pasta", that's how flavorless it was. Other dishes ordered were chicken alfredo ("sauce is ok, but very heavy") and a chicken caesar salad (three bites of chicken on top, although they had a tasty dressing). The bill was over $70, too expensive for garbage. Honestly, nothing makes this place worth going back to.

The food here sucks.  This is my 2nd time eating dinner here at night, as they have good music and its in a great location, but the food is terrible, you will pay over $30 for a descent meal and I promise you after you will be upset and will not feel well.  All there foods are very heavy and deep fried although they say they are not.  I would not recommend this place and will not visit again.

so obviously i did NOT consult yelp before eating here

we had heard good things about the lobster/crab ravioli so we gave it a shot. in reality i think the ravioli was stuffed with tuna - seriously.

our service wasn't too bad, but not good enough for a 2nd star.

if you love $28 canned-tuna ravioli, you would prob want to marry this place.

Nasty food, expensive drinks, but Giana was great and told us about a great chocolate cake shot. I definitely recommend that shot. Had a great time for just drinks before a show at Lincoln Theatre.

That was a very bad experience.

We saw a bug in the restroom, called the manager and he was very rude to us, said it's none of his business and we had to expect such thing in Miami.

    We left very disapointed.
    Management is Awful

I ordered the feet. Alfredo.....wow I couldn't believe people were serious that they could mess up something so simple.....guess what, they did. This had to be reheated because the noodles were hard at the ends. The place is a pretty decent, at best, place. The staff was pretty sub par, and speaking to the management or owner was like talking to a toddler. Very dissapointed, the other reviewers on yelp of this place were pretty dead on.I give them an F for almost trying.

I don't know where to start... Went there with my wife after a concert at the next-door Lincoln Theatre. The concert was amazing, but dinner almost ruined it all for us. For starters, the place inside was completely empty, which made me feel a bit apprehensive. It was awfully hot outside, so we went in anyways. The furniture looks like was picked up at one of those old junk re-sale places on Calle Ocho, with the tables covered in a cheap white leather-like fabric: it got dirty just by placing the appetizer plate on top of it, just gross. The spinach dip, however, was very good. Then, my wife had the pistachio crusted halibut or mahi-mahi (I don't remember), which was OK and a total robbery at $32.50. I had the lamb shank with saffron risotto: the lamb was good, but the risotto was just awful. The best thing about dinner was polishing a good bottle of red with my wife, the rest was just not very good. In summary, after one appetizer, two entrees, one dessert, and one bottle of wine, we got robbed with a $142.00 bill, including 17% tip. Godawful dining experience, which is very representative of the quick buck-like, tourist-only, not-very-classy environment that Lincoln Road has become over the years. Pity.

Decent food at best. I knew it wouldn't be great, but we were hungry and hot. Had a grilled calamari and shrimp salad. Shrimp were cooked fine, but calamari were overcooked and rubbery. Also, no dressing. Thankfully, there was lemon on the side. My husband had lobster ravioli and he didn't complain. He said it was pretty decent. Overall, I wouldn't go back. For food of this quality we preferred Maya on the next block for their avocado salad.
