I used to come here a lot when I was younger, but I've gotten away from it due to my obsession with Cracker Barrel and Starlite.

BUT, I came here this past weekend for some breakfast, and was reminded of my youth.

The coffee was fresh and hot and frequently refilled.

My veggie omlette was great, as were the grits and pancakes! I don't know what it is about their whipped butter, but it's just BETTER than anywhere.

My date got the blueberry pancakes, which looked delicious but he was irked that the blueberries were only really in the center of the pancakes. haha.

Homey, comfy decor, lots of seating, good service.

The WORST wait for food ever, even the waitress started hiding after a 1/2 hour. How long does chicken and waffles take?  The food finally arrived and the order was wrong. Sorry but I will never be back.

This icon is in an entirely wrong location.  Don't rely on this one.

Sometimes I just have to have pancakes.  I got to the Richmond Airport early and I decided to have lunch before I dropped off the rental car.  Even though it was mid afternoon the Aunt Sarah's sign was like a beacon to me.

The decor is like the highway side restaurants that I remember from the road trips I took with my parents.  The entrance of the restaurant sells t-shirts, games and souvenirs.  They even have the wooden peg games I remember as well.

I pigged out and got the pancakes, eggs and bacon platter.  It really hit the spot.  Much better than I-Hop.  I have found a Sarah's closer to where I am staying while in Richmond but I have not been there yet even though I was craving pancakes after working out this week.
