As a rabbit owner, it hard to find small rodent supplies at any of the smaller pet shops in the city, most cater to dog and cat owners. Audrey's has everything for rabbits and small rodents too!

It's also a great location, since there's always something to do in Back Bay and isn't far from the orange or green line.

Too bad I can't give Audrey's more stars! Not only do I love coming here because Brittany is almost always there to welcome you as an old friend, but so is everyone else who is a part of Audrey's,  and it's just a wonderful atmosphere. They have a great selection of treats and toys, sensibly priced and also offer delivery, which is a big deal when you don't feel like hauling 30-lbs bag of kibble for a few blocks, and I really rarely do.

The second reason it gets such a high vote is that our dog absolutely loooooves coming here! He is a little attention hog, and he gets plenty of it when we walk in, he gets treats and gets to sniff around as much as he likes. In fact, he likes it so much, that we cannot walk on Newbury street without having to cross it to get to Audrey's, no matter what time of day or night, and most times he plants himself on the stairs trying to will the door open.

Audrey's is a unique store truly dedicated to pets by pet lovers, and I would travel a much greater distance to shop here if I had to, simply because it's worth it. I'm a huge fan!

I discovered Audrey's days after getting my boxer pup and have never looked back. This is a great shop for locals where you and your pets will be treated like family. Brittany is a great resource. She is knowledgeable and caring, even suggesting classes at the ARL. Audrey's is now a destination point on our walks, and Friday can't wait to see everyone when we get there. Our food is ordered on schedule, and Brad delivers it right to our door. I also can't help but love the support the shop gives to non-profits. We are very thankful to have Audrey's as our pet shop and have sent many a pet owner there.

I have a hamster and its usually tough to make it all the way out to petco as I live near Kenmore. I decided to try Audrey's and I am so glad I did! The clerk was extremely friendly and helpful and I was surprised that they even had hamster food/bedding. The selection is small but very good, decently priced, and the location makes it that much better. It is also a really nice setup in the store and great for cats/dogs and other small pets. I will definitely be visiting Audrey's again!

We would be lost without Audreys! Being new to city life, and having a large dog who is also new to city life, we didn't know how we would be able to make sure we were stocked on food, without leaving the city...and carrying a giant bag of dog food on the T? I don't think so.

Luckily, we found Audreys and met Brittany right away. She is so sweet and bubbly...I honestly don't know how she manages to be that sweet on a daily basis. And I love that she has a big dog too and can relate to having a big dog in the city. She always has such useful tips and advice....we turn to her for anything. I went in with my dog in the dead of winter one time, and didn't realize that my dog had irritated his paw on the ice and was bleeding. He got blood all over the floor in the store and I felt so awful. But all Brittany cared about was making sure he was ok! It was so nice.

They offer free delivery on products, and will even order in a brand that you like, even if the store doesn't carry it. And since we're not too organized about when to order our dog food, Brittany will even call sometimes to remind us that our dog is about due for a bag of food.

Like I said....we'd be lost without Audreys!

I would dare you to find a better pet shop, but let's be serious: no such establishment exists.

In short, Audrey's carries a large, vast selection of food, toys, treats, leashes, collars, gifts for pet-lovers, and more - covering just about every price point you could hope for.  They are a family-run business that makes customer service and satisfaction second only to the happiness of your pet.  I can't imagine shopping at another store.  Ever.  And here's why...

I found Audrey's in October 2010 while strolling down Newbury Street.  In the midst of adopting my first rescue dog, I was eager to spend the day stocking my apartment with every toy, treat, and goody available - and got taken for a ride by two other local shops.  Carrying two large shopping bags, I introduced myself to Brittany Bang and simply stated that I wanted the best of everything she carried.  Her trademark smile took over her face and she just started to laugh.  "Silly," she said, "I need to know more about your dog - and what you have in these bags - before we do anymore damage!"

For well over an hour Brittany reviewed my previous purchases, praising some, urging me to return others - but never once pushing or even suggesting a single item in her shop.  As an advocate for animal rescue and adoption, she was far more interested in my puppy's story and the organization with which I was working.  I purchased an insignificant chew toy to show my appreciation, but based on her sincere gratitude a passerby would have thought I was taking one of everything.

When I brought my little puppy home, I knew exactly where we would go on her first adventure: Audrey's!  Brittany greeted my puppy as if she were her own.  She let my pup nap in the comfy chair (conveniently located across from the football game playing on the flat screen) and FINALLY let me pick out food and toys.  (Brittany is very invested in the happiness of all pets and owners, and knows that a perfectly suited toy can achieve both.  Seriously.  She begs for pictures of your pet playing with their new favorite toy, so she can see that it really was the right fit!)

In the next few weeks, I utilized all of the services Audrey's offers:
    * A 30-pound bag of food was delivered to my third floor walk-up apartment
    * My puppy was taken for walks by Brad (Brittany's husband) and Karen (Brittany's mom), and thorough notes were left detailing who she played with, etc.
    * Toys were delivered
    * Treats were special ordered

Needless to say, I am a loyal-as-they-come customer.  Brittany has special ordered treats, toys, a leash and a crate for us.  She, Brad, and her parents have made it easy to be a Boston puppy parent - and I am eternally grateful!

Hate the jingling of dog tags well look no more. Found these great Velcro "Peace tags" that do give peace and quiet.

Whenever our Zak shakes his entire body the tags play a tune that just happens to wake us up. Round and round the bed he goes when he can't sleep playing a tune...ugh!

Mr G and I sewed on fabric to keep him quiet but they get worn and they are hard to sew and change when his shots and registration get updated.

What a find: I got a Peace tag and a Henley Clip so I can change his tags in a jiff from one collar to another without pliers.

    and now Zzz we sleep.

See Zak with his pal Paris!

What a great shop! I happened upon Audrey's while walking Newbury with some friends and I was instantly impressed. Unlike most of the "boutique" type pet shops in the city, this felt like the kind of place I could actually shop for my 85lb dog. The prices are good (and not just Newbury street good), and so is the selection.

I assume it was Brittany and Brad, the owners, working the day we went. They couldn't have been more friendly. Brad was very helpful, and as the type of person who can spend all day talking about dogs, I really appreciated his enthusiasm. I will definitely be frequenting Audrey's. With their good prices, and great service, I would much rather spend my money at a place like than one of the chain stores.

ISO: food that I will not have to clean up as vomit from my floor...

I've tried several different pet shops around boston with one goal in mind, please let me stop cleaning up kitty vomit!  My two cats, both over 9, have developed pretty sensitive stomaches and it's important to me that I find a food that they enjoy, while staying to a natural and organic.

Brittany is awesome.  She spent time with me talking about the different options that she kept in her shop.  After we picked out a couple choices for me to test she ran to the back and grabbed me samples of each!  I hadn't even thought of this...she wanted to make sure that the food worked before I purchased any.

Audreys is my new pet store BFF.  I will be back....and I LOVE supporting small businesses!

Audrey's is great! I've been in there twice now. The first time, I was shopping on Newbury and they were hosting an adoption event so even though I had just adopted a cat, I went to see what it was all about. The adoption worker told me that they had adopted out so many cats that they had run back over to the ARL to get more- so thanks to Audrey's for helping with that important cause.

The second time, I took my cat in to get her nails clipped. Layla is our adopted baby who has a bit of a bad history before she came to us and really freaks out when my fiance and I try to clip her strong and long claws. Since we live pretty near to Audrey's, we brought her over there, hoping they would have better luck (she has done ok when strangers have trimmed her nails in the past.) Audrey and her colleague were great and very effective. We'll be back, at least until Layla stops totally freaking out when we try at home.

Audrey's is fantastic!!  Brittany's love of animals and concern for their well being is clear from the moment you meet her.  The store has fantastic products including toys and treats that I can't find anywhere else.  She was sooo kind upon meeting my boxer puppy and referred to herself as "auntie Brittany", too cute.  I wil continue to go back and support Audrey's as much as possible.

Wow... Where was this place when I lived in Boston and had a dog...?
Happened to be in-town and realized a lot of Newbury st. has changed.. The addition of Audrey's seems very useful for the Back Bay - and it is well stocked as well. I expected a silly 'boutique' pet store and was surprised to find it affordable, friendly and practical.
    I would give it 5-stars but I didn't actually buy anything (pet-less)
Great store and good luck !

I heard about Audreys from a coworker who insisted I check it out. The store is located one block away from my work on Newbury; I ventured over one night after work and was instantly in doggie goods heaven. Everything seems higher end than what is at Petco and for a better price. I wanted to buy every collar instantly to have for different occassions. My pup Lucy is a girl afterall, she needs options. Deffinitely stop in if you are in the neighborhood, it is a great find.

Audrey's really came to my rescue tonight! I realized my dog was nearly out of food and called Audrey's, remembering that they had food delivery after visiting their adorable shop on Newbury a couple weeks back. Not only did they have my dog's food, but it was competitively priced AND they could deliver it to me tonight for FREE!

When Brad came to deliver, he even offered to carry it to my door (which thinking back, I probably should have accepted considering it was a 44lb bag- eek!) and refused a tip, just asking me to keep coming back to Audrey's.

Believe me, I will! Audrey's is the perfect all-in-one stop for your dog and definitely the BEST in Boston! Thank you, Brittany, Brad and Audrey! :)

This place is wonderful. They have a great assortment of food, toys, and accessories for your pet...all at reasonable prices, no less...on Newbury Street!!! Who would have guessed?!?!

However, the thing that sets this store apart is the owner, Brittany. I just got a new puppy and had all sorts of questions - from crate training, to house breaking, to feeding, to behavioral questions...and beyond. Brittany took the time to answer all my questions and share with me her own real life experiences about raising puppies into well adjusted dogs. She couldn't have been more helpful or pleasant.

I highly recommend that you check this place out!

I used to humph at stores dedicated to pets, because I just didn't get it!
I used to think, "Jeez. Who exactly are these stores catering to, that they've managed to stay in business all this time?"
Then -- long story short -- I gained custody of a cat. NOW I get it!
But I'm nowhere near becoming or being a crazy cat lady.
With that said, understand, then, that my review is glowing NOT because I go gaga over anything cat or pet related, but because the high ratings are commensurate with the high level of quality service I always get when I go to Audrey's.

    -  Last month, I stumbled upon Audreys on my close-to-daily walk down Newbury Street. I've been here three times to purchase snacks and toys for my cat. I purchased the all-natural Catswell Shape Up Chicken Breast with L-Carnitine as a snack (she loves it) and the Kong Wubba (catnip infused) cat toy, which she only plays with when I tell her to play with it.

    -  Every time I go to the store, I feel absolutely no pressure to buy anything and have been to the store one time when I felt just like browsing actually. I did the old "browse and run," yet I felt no shame or obligation to buy.

    -  The owners have managed to make the place both pet and human friendly, it seems.

    -  The last time I was at the store, I went specifically to ask Audrey about whether or not she had recommendations for a place where I can get my cat groomed. She happily and expertly obliged me with 2 recommendations.

    -  And the prices are just right for a thrifty gal like me.

    -  This is now my go-to place for cat supplies.

Love, love, love Audrey's. For pet stores, it truly is as good as it gets.

Not only does Brittany stock some of the best pet supplies and food - not to mention that the store is one of the most pleasant and inviting stores in Boston - but more importantly, she is a genuinely fantastic business owner whose attention to her clients, both human and animal, is unparalleled.

After moving from D.C. to Boston this past Fall, we were struggling to find our go-to cat food brand, Weruva. One of our cats has a sensitive stomach so not only does he need grain-free food but we've also noticed that foods that contain carageenan have irritated his stomach. The very few stores in Boston that do carry a limited quantity of Weruva did not have enough carageenan-free flavors and/or were unwilling to special order what we needed. Snore.

My fiancee wandered into Audrey's one day late in the Fall and spoke with Brittany about the food. She offered to order the varieties we needed in whatever quantity/size we needed. Needless to say, we were not only relieved but incredibly grateful that Brittany went out of her way to accommodate our pets needs. I'd like to think our cats are pretty grateful too.

We couldn't be happier with Audrey's and will continue to support this business as much as we can!

I do not live in Boston, so I can't say anything about the delievery service but I have to say that having a pet and the inconveience of having to carry around bags of dry food and kitty litter around the city would not be an issue with Audrey's! I can see this being a GREAT thing for people living in the city as I already complain about having to carry this stuff from my driveway up into my apartment! But I work in the area so I love dropping in my lunch break to pick up goodies for my cats :)

Due to health issues with one of my cats I have switched to natural, grain free foods and treats for both my cats. I have such a hard time finding the Evo Wild Creations treats which are the only treats my picky eater Persian will only eat that are super healthy! I can always find them here. The owner recently starting getting Weluva wet food packets, which I was SO happy to see. I can tell she looks for great products often and I always find something new that I want to try everytime I stop in.

I love the cute food and water dishes they carry. I've found many cute bowls that work well for my Persian, the shallow, sort of flat bowls he can easily eat out of without smooshing his whole flat face into and get all messy. I did all my cats Christmas shopping there. Cute place mats for under their bowls. Catnip buds which I had never seen or heard of (I've always just seen the sprays and already crumbled bags) which my cats LOVE.

Prices are great, selection is great. There is everything you need and then some!

Britney (sp?), is SO nice and helpful I love that she will give you her opinion of products that she actually uses on her own pets. Some of the things I could buy elsewhere, maybe for cheaper, but I prefer to shop at Audrey's because I feel like my money is better spent at a store where the owners really are "animal people" and where you can tell they really care about quality of their business.

I got word from a close friend that another pet shop was opening in Back Bay. A Back Bay resident and dog and cat owner myself, I was eager to find out whether this would be another small shop along Newbury I merely glance at but never enter, or whether it would be my new go-to store for must-haves in my life, i.e. pet supplies.

That being said, I actually noticed Audrey's on my own walking home from work. The water bowl outside and well-manicured mini lawn caught my eye. Unlike many Newbury shops, I was hoping to be able to browse, get in and out, without feeling too much pressure to buy.

As soon as I entered, I knew it was a family-owned personable down-to-earth type of shop. The walls were adorned with canvas photographs of the owner herself, Brittany Bang (which was not hard to figure out considering she was the one working), and her family, including her husband and their four legged family members. I was greeted by Brittany, who could not have been more personable "girl next door" kind of owner. We immediately started chatting about the store and I felt like I was hanging out with one of my girlfriends talking about the neighborhood and our pets. Talking about the various needs of city pet owners, I found out the store was far more than the store itself - Audrey's also offers home-delivery and dog walking services. Brittany eagerly stated that if there's anything I don't see that I need or have any suggestions to tell her immediately and that it is of the up most importance to her to genuinely get to know and cater to her customers. I found this endearing as this is rare among Newbury Street stores.

The comfortable and personable feeling of Audrey's is obvious to anyone who enters as, when I was browsing, a couple walked in and within minutes, stated that Brittany can consider them regulars and that they were so thankful and excited about such a store in Back Bay.

Considering location, I expected the prices to be a bit redic. I was pleasantly surprised to find her prices extremely reasonable, and in fact, comparable to the Petsmart and Petco chains. Although my intentions were to just browse briefly, I came across the really cute collars, saw the price, and had to buy.

On my way to checkout, I noticed the most adorable tote bags sitting on a table in the middle of the store. When I inquired about it, Brittany shared with me her commitment towards using her position as a store owner to help a charity near to her heart, the Animal Rescue League of Boston. The proceeds from all items purchased from that table, which include my new favorite tote and various other items, such as collars and t-shirts, are donated to the Animal Rescue League of Boston.

As I was heading out, Brittany encouraged me to send her a pic of my pets so she can add it to her already popular collection of customer's pets that hangs on one of the walls in the front of the store.

I always enjoy being pleasantly surprised, whether it is by a person, a store, shear luck etc. My visit to Audrey's Pet Supplies and Services pleasantly impressed me and I will most certainly be a regular.

Audreys is a wonderful new pet supply shop on Newbury street. The store is beautiful, well designed and the owners Brittany and Brad are a joy to chat with. The prices are NOT normal Newbury street (phew!) and all the necessities for you dog, cat or small furry pet are there. Shop the middle table and help animals in need!

BEST PET PLACE IN BOSTON!!! The owners, Brittany & Brad, are the most friendly people you will ever meet, and are total animal lovers! They carry the best selection of everything from food to toys! Not to mention they have a special table where anything you purchase from it, the proceeds are donated to local animal rescues! How cool is that?!?! I bought my chihuahua and dachshund each a quality, boutique brand collar for very reasonable prices, and I also bought a fantastic painting from them! And did I mention that they literally have the PERFECT location, too! It's right on Newberry and very easy to access and find! And if you can't carry your bag of pet food, don't worry! They will deliver it directly to your front door at your soonest convenience! They also have a dog walking service, which is very handing for professionals who live in the city and don't have the time to exercise their dog.

If you own a pet (they have products for dogs to hamsters), Audrey's is most definitely the place to go to find reasonably priced, quality products, with the friendly local service that can be so hard to find! Well, guess what, you just found it at Audrey's Pet Supply!

Friendly owner, but there never seems to be anyone else in there. I know this is Newbury, so I expect the higher prices. I do appreciate that they carry the rolled leather collars, which I couldn't find anywhere else.

It just always feels a little off when I go in and try to browse. Maybe they should try playing music at a low level?

All-in-all, it's a nice place, although you will feel some pressure to spend because she's staring at you. :\

Also, they charge more for food delivery than Pawsh, who also offers free first time deliveries. Pawsh - $3.00 + a free one.... Audrey's -- $5

These folks are great, I've been here three times in the two months I've lived in Boston. They have Evo (Innova) cat food which is somewhat hard to find. Then when I mentioned this green tea leaves cat litter, they ordered it (this is a great product for a walking city because not only does it smell like green tea, but it's very light compared to sand or pine pellets).

My wife and I met the owner and she told us about her delivery and pet sitter service - purr-fect (sorry, couldn't resist).

And as others noted, it is well stocked. In a city where it's a pain to get  your car out and drive to a PetCo this place is big benefit. Besides, they have higher-quality products than a pet supermarket store.

Obviously the selection is not as high as PetCo, but they still have enough products and helpful staff that I feel like I made a great purchase. I was pleasantly surprised by the very reasonable prices given the location. I never have to walk/take the T to central square to get cat supplies again.

The girlfriend and I stopped in based on the great reviews and the upcoming arrival of our bulldog puppy. Absolutely wonderful store but it is the owners who put this place over the top. Brittany and Brad are extremely nice and helpful. They even offered to ship anything we wanted right to our home in Maine.  For any pet care needs you simply cannot find a better store or two better owners.

All I can say is "FINALLY!!' - I've lived in the Back Bay for 5 years now and I've been waiting for something like Audrey's to come along! My pup (and newly adopted kitten) say "thank you" to the genious owner who realized that Back Bay pet owners have nowhere to buy the weekly necessities! I love supporting local businesses, and was so impressed that the owner is only a year younger than me. It's comforting to see that young business owners are carving out their own slice of the pie among the Newbury st. shops. I would definitely say that any pet owners in the area absolutely MUST check it out! ...Audrey's is a far cry from the yuppy shops in the area - it's packed with actual pet supplies and they have dog walking services, and literally every food, cat litter, toy, beds, grooming needs, etc. Ok, that's all for now - just needed to spread the word and say Thank You - it's not every day your one Back Bay problem gets solved!!! Now, if I could only get a free off-street parking space behind my condo...a girl can hope right?
